- For this video , we decided to exercise our public photography & videography rights on the public sidewalk outside this Tesla service center/showroom. It was a fairly large property with a decent flow of customers coming & going. Soon after I began documenting what appeared to be the service bay where customers retrieve their vehicles, an employee emerged from the background, quickly approaching where I was standing just to the side of the driveway. As he got closer he had his hand up what seemed to be his attempt to block the view of my cameras as he told be there was no filming & that I couldn't film the property. I warned him not to touch me or my cameras. A coworker of his came out to advise him to back off & they both went onto property . The employee who initially approached me , I have to give a fail for pushing the narrative I couldn't film the property. Most Tesla cars on the road have at least 8 cameras, but YOU as a CITIZEN are not allowed to have ONE!
I did a search on Google. "All Tesla cars have eight cameras outside the car and one camera inside. The cameras are positioned around the car at different angles, recording from all angles while driving and when parked in century mode. The cameras provide 360 degrees of visibility at up to 250 meters of range. "
They’re not very bright. All walking around with consumer laptops like that 😂 don’t even have the sense to use ruggedized slate tablets.
I wish I could understand the correlation with the high number of Tesla drivers who seem to have a problem with public photography when their cars do more public photography than the google maps trucks. It’s just mind boggling.

With videos each week on Sunday featuring Tesla cameras and what they catch on the highway with respect to driving incident, it astound me that people would act like this at a Tesla dealership. Although I cannot confirm, I have read that there are as many as nine cameras on a Tesla which can be recording at any time. I feel sorry for the individual who was trying to block your videoing, he is probably responsible for building maintenance because he certainly not very intelligent about constitutional rights. What a bad look for this dealership. I am 3000 miles away but I will tell you that there are going to be phone calls to the dealership whether they're from the local area or a long distance, you earned this.

I'm hoping that the dispatcher, upon hearing the whining about someone standing on a public sidewalk with a camera, simply told the snowflake that it is perfectly legal to own and operate a camera in public and then asked him to please stop tying up a line that someone with a real emergency might need. How cool would that have been? Dispatchers learning from First Amendment auditors and teaching snowflakes about the Constitution. Beautiful! ❤

What service does a Tesla need? I suppose over 50k miles, it might need some maintenance. And I understand that it is common that they need new tires every 20k miles or so because of the combination of heavy car weight and sporty tires.
But who would ever get their tires at the dealership as opposed to Costco or some, dedicated tire shop?

Many people dont know that some Tesla's have multiple cameras. There is no warning label that you are being filmed. Seemms like a potential issue especially while parked on private property.

You would think by now, Businesses would realize that auditors are a great way to get free press. Unfortunately people's egos get in the way.
The best thing you can do when they block your camera, is to take the selfie position, as if you were taking a selfie with them. When you do that, they can't block the camera, they would literally be assault you and yet we can see everything. I don't know if I explaining myself correctly, but the great thing about it is that we can see everything, whereas if they block the camera the only thing we can see is their hand.

Filming Teslas is the best. There can literally be over a thousand cameras in that place. I don't know if there is any place that has more cameras than a Tesla dealership.

It is “Privately Owned Property,” NOT “Private Property.” There is NOTHING about their property that is PRIVATE except the ownership. It is fully viewable, and therefore photograph-able, from any publicly accessible place. Ron W4BIN
