We also have a building close by GD company that is listed on the internet as Remaxx, but they are actually a government contracted facility with armed security. I was told by security that they basically shred papers there. There is also an OnLogic facility. Two now actually. All in very close proximity to the airport. Very strange.

Definitely not he first time! If you go back & listen to quite a few of these audits, you'll see that dispatch hardly ever gets it correct.

Dispatch here in my area are everyday citizens and thus don't have legal training to give out legal information.. So it's not on the dispatcher but their lack of training..
So we, the people, need to step up and vote in those that will change the structure and educate those positions..

When the caller said "he is on the sidewalk" dispatch should have informed him there is NO crime and should NOT have lied to the officer about his location.

It's more than the people and dispatchers still. It's police that have egos when they don't get what they want and escalate things to even false arrests. We have a whole systemic failure in America.

It's amazing that people are permitted to call the police and give a false report without consequence. It would be extremely helpful if dispatchers asked if anyone saw the suspect on the property before they dispatch officers to the scene, even if the caller says that someone was on their property unannounced. That way the person who claims there was a trespass is held accountable.
So everyone connected to the cops escalate, a complaint against the dispatcher should be filed.
The dispatcher is why the cops need to investigate first.

So I followed the links and called the Chief to complain about the dispatcher and the lady who took my complaint was EXTREMELY professional. A+ on that person alone. F- for everyone else.
Security is empowered to observe and report, not to engage with people in public and question them while refusing to ID. If they rudely choose to do so they deserve an abrupt but polite response.
Congratulations to Dedham PD for their professional response but shame on the dispatcher for her careless escalation in relating the situation.

The way this police officer talked and responded, kind of infers that he is used to dispatch giving false or exaggerated information over the radio to the responding cops. Regardless; unlike 99.9% of cops in this day and age, this police officer is the exception to the rule and conducted himself in a legal, lawful, constitutional and logical manner. Even if he did seem to be bored and put upon because of the call. I congratulate him on how he handled it and himself. A rare bird in this day and age!
