Shaping up really nice!
TY
Always great videos, brother.👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Good job guys 👍💯
Ty
Awesome Sauce!
Tell Dave, howdy, projects looking good Young Men!
Thanks! Will do!
I always find it interesting when watching different concrete youtubers the differences in how they do things. Like some guys have all their own equipment and crew. Some hire out everything such as this video, most of the crew was outsourced, using a rented dumpster instead of a dump truck, rented skid steer, etc etc.
Actually we are mainly all in house only time we bring help is on a bigger pour day.
Props for keeping the sidewalk clean at the end of each day. Not sure if it is local ordinance or not, but props either way.
TY
We try
The Ant guy 🐜 😂
Curb cut - my guess $3500. Great work - can't wait to see the rest.
Best investment i made was dump trailer, second was mini X with breaker .
Yeah definitely need to get a mini skid next
@@OdellCompleteConcrete i suggest buying a mini excavator bobcat e10 with a breaker, yes skid steer excel at grading loading , but I honestly say i use my mini x more than my s70, mini ex can demo concrete, demo all plant material, excavate all our drains, footings , irrigation lines, it can till hard soil for grading, auger our fence post, fill our power barrels, I fell in love with my mini ex. think about it
Amazing prep work = even more amazing finish. Great job! Also that should be around $2500 my guess.
The Mexican Ant!!
Nice 👍
Project looks good.
For the curb cut, I would have wanted $1000 but I would have quoted $975 to 'soften the sting'😀.
Ty and Yeah that what it was
Would it be more cost effective to remove and repour the apron approach?
Maybe
❤😊nice!
Impressive! 1,500 on the cut?
To cut the kerb like that in Sydney Australia is $22,000 plus gst. So $24k
Good Job! Possible to get more information why Jimmy had to go?
Probably unreliable
Thanks for sharing your experience and knowledge. I’m going to say $1,800.00
Cool
Thats what I was going to say 👍🏼
What do you have to do when you install a new apron? Deal with the shitty? Love your work👍
Yes
Poor Jimmy, yall should make amends. Weren't you good friends. Sometimes hard to work with friends.
PS- sledge hammering is only fun in your 20s and younger 🤣💕👍
PPS- great job crew on this one 👏👍
Salute tim, i talked to your dad a few times.
TY
The kind of rig not coming out for less than 1000 bucks with operator
Time is $ hope you charge for all the X tras drains ,curb cut I had 3 year Guarentee does not cover crack s . Where’s Pops he taught you well 💪😎👍🏁. Buy. Metal stakes !
@OdellCompleteConcrete... do you provide drawings with each project?
No, sorry
If you have the crew break it with sledges and have fun! Make competitions. You bid your job and have fun because labor today is not about just dollars.
True
I was going to guess $1,000 for the curb cut. I see quite of few higher, I might be out of touch. Great work guys!
Close
You guys need an electric jack-hammer to break the big pieces of concrete up.
Question, would the City be upset if you redid the sidewalk section in front of their driveway?
Have to get permits with the city for any alterations to curbing, approaches, or sidewalks
I believe the sidewalk belongs to the city, that’s why they left it alone.
4:04 😂😂😂😂😂👍👍
👍👍
hi guys, have you ever considered doing an ariel drone shot with measurements etc on them?
i don't think the ground level shots give you the true idea of just how much real estate you are covering
thanks
Yeah I actually did have a drone out but we crashed it this day xD
Never seen a skid steer do a hand stand.
I would've paid extra to grade the whole front yard.
1" drop over 8' (96") is a touch more than 1%: (1/96)*100=1.04% ;o) I understand...close enough and easy enough to remember.
90! :)
$1500 for the curb cut, I’ve gotten a quote from Garrett for that job before.
2,000
1600
850
800 for curb cut
950 for the cut
$1000 for apron cut-out.
Yup 👍
You open yourself up to injuries workmans comp claimes
I woud say that cut was about 850$ for that 30 minute job
The Diamond blade alone is probably 1K
I would guess $ 2700.00 to cut the concrete. This house looks like somebody is flipping it.
Yea looks like a flip
10,000$ curb cutter
Guessing 1,700 $ for the apron cut ?
850
was jimmy the one with the long hair? he seemed cool af 😕
Yeah that was him and yeah he was 😎
Jimmy is gonna go postal
Should be like $500 for that quick job but I bet they charged 1k
1000
850
Sorry you need the right equipment to cut your cost.
Lift 20x his weight is a joke I know that 🤣🤣🤣🤣
$500 for the curb cut?
850
$600 for curb cut???
Probably around $2500-$3000 to cut the curb.
850
Sorry to hear that Jimmy is no longer with you.
Sad
$2400?
$950
I say 750
$1,200.00
Curb cut $4250.00
$i500.00
I would say 3500$ for the cut. If you had to tear out the old driveway cut and expand it, would you have had to get a different permit??
All in $1600
Curb cut $1200.
$1850 to cut the curb.
$1350 for the curb
$1200.
850
$1,200 cutting
You should not include your mention of "Jimmy" being let go because of an altercation. I think such an open comment opens you up to employment liability.
2:15
He might go postal
Why? I would think it's best to be honest about why Jimmy was let go. So, if a prospective employer asked about Jimmy...should they keep mum, too? He would not have been fired for a minor disagreement. It must have been something very serious.
@@dannylim3318 I remember working for a Contractor a long time ago, a company with 10 to 15 employees, everyone got fired at least once, some twice, they all ended up coming back, later down the road, unless you stole from a customer.
😅😅 no it doesn't
Prob 2000$ Its expensive equipment hi have there.
$950
$500
Got to take it off the bucket when breaking those slabs by hand ! The hydraulics don’t work like that just the slightest rebound cushion it disperses from the sledge hit
In the US do you not put drainage chip under drainage and on top before covering.?
Hey little tip for you. When you are busting up the old concrete slabs you're removing try hitting them with your purse instead of a sledge. They will break up easier.
Sure
$3200 fir the cut
Can’t believe you guys don’t use a skid loader with a hammer attachment. Hopefully those dudes get paid well to hand remove/break concrete like that
You're clearly a Millennial 😂😂. What you think those attachments are free
@@RHEC1776labor isn’t free either though, there’s an inflection point somewhere.
Wasn’t much concrete to remove to be honest
$3,500.00 to $4,000.00 for the cut.
850
$800.00 on the cut.
850
$500 bucks
$950
Probably should edit this and reload. It's not wise to let private info, like why you fired someone, be disclosed in a public forum. Possible liabilities.
that's not private.
Wasn’t fired
What do you have to do when you install a new apron? Deal with the shitty? Love your work👍
Yeah got to get permits
