I'm sat in the office watching on my mac, and the wife is on her computer doing some work. 19 minutes into the video and she turns round and says " Are they actually gonna do the board, or just talk about it!" lol
I know. The customer wants a coffee ! 🤣
😂😂😂
I’d agree, they can talk alright! Nick do you make any money??
I have watched 4 videos and not seen him do any work yet. All he does is talk 😂😂
@@steveg4iwr I actually don’t know how he’s making any money. Thank god he has Adam. It takes ages to make and edit those vids. Unless he’s making the moola on the back end when we click and watch??
It must be amazing to terminate a consumer unit without having to arrange the breakers to match how much length is on the cables. Nice job.
Adam is already a great electrician. That is a great reflection on your support and patience and fantastic encouragement. You made work enjoyable for him. I suspect he has also made not only life easier for you but given you so much more in terms of the banter. U good job....good luck to Adam on the driving test. It would be great at some point to see how the extended cables with the DIN rails changed the test results or not. Whenever you get the chance again. Very nice job.
Math Man I’m curious about this too.. the Viking connectors are made for this purpose and are widely used in pre populated electrical fuseboards (wardrobe sized), I couldn’t think of any better connector for the job he needed to do apart from soldering and insulating each one with resinated heat shrink, which by the end would look like a ✊💦. So he made it enclosed, tidy and accessible for maintenance..That kid is leaning how to work at a level of installation execution that I don’t see much around here to be honest.. as for most electricians they’d fill that box with the good old connector block and push the wiring spider web in to close the lid.. would you use a ferrule and crimp 2 wires before putting them into a terminal? if the kid keeps his 👀 well open and puts the same pride into the execution, he’ll be a very good spark. Being an electrician isn’t just about measuring Zs, it’s also an art and if you do it correctly, your testing will always be inside the parameters.. I’d definitely stop a minute to enjoy that skilled work if I opened the lid to check the screws torque on the Viking’s..
Filipe S. Here here
100 % Adam has come along way and gives ad good as he gets lol. I remember early days but all credit to his mentor aka tormentor 😂 nicely done.
Good luck Adam 🍀 🤪
lol thanks Chris ill pass it on
Former apprentice from South Africa here. Just passed my trade test. Love watching your videos.
Good luck to Adam for his driving test. I will give him some good advice being just relax and ask questions to the examiner
Nick
as a long time served electrian (28 years) I have to commend you on your quality, and attention to detail.
Nice to see younger generations taking pride, care and attention to a fine art.
Well done mate keep up the good work 💪
I agree
Only 15 years here tho lol
Am an Electrician did 14th Edd, then 15th, and 16th refresher with IEE Regs , and have done 100s of Con Unit Changes, various styles from Voltage/Current ELCB/ RCDs , Rewireable/Cartridge/MCB-RCD and now RCBO , have used the DIN Rail connections but for a small installation Line Crimps were ideal, when installed correctly , even for 16/25mm short length. Now everything changes, some Good some Not and the Kit/Tools are Fantastic.
Was just thinking that in-line crimps give a good maintenance-free connection and would fit into a smaller box. Certainly cheaper too.
Viking connectors on din rail.. ferrules to join 2 wires at a terminal.. you British? That’s quality work, Spotless 👌
I'm loving the van mate hope it works out well for ya
Ooohhhh a 40 minute long nick bundy video. Let me grab my Tesco croissants 👍👍
Just started my level 2 course and I’m sure your videos are guna be a great help! So thank you in advance 👍 fuse box was proper neat and tidy, love it
You need to get some hole punches for the consumer units epic no shards of metal everywhere no burns and you can do knockouts on any mounted metal housing brilliant
Nice to see a job done right. When my board was moved due to a garage conversion the sparkle used 5 strips of 30a chocolate block to extend the wiring. Luckily he used a proper box to put them in, pity he didn’t use grommets though.
Another good vid. Good luck on the test Adam, relax and you will piss it.
I normally only work with one other electrician who works to the same standard as me we have been in the game for 36 years and its its good to see fresh sparks who seem to take some pride in what he does the way your board is wired is what I expect to see when removing the front panel but so rarely do, unfortunately some sparks are animals and in my opinion should not be doing the job I remember my father telling me when I started if you wouldn't do it in your own home don't do it in somebody else's.
Excellent job nick and adam. Truly professional work and very well explained. Keep up the good work lads
I feel like a handy product idea would be flat fronts for old boards. In a situation like this you could leave the old box and DIN rail for the new wiring blocks and then just put a flat front on it so you don't need to take out the old box. Would probably keep everything more organized too since you could land a circuit into the wiring blocks as you take out each breaker.
I was thinking exactly the same. A blanking plate for the old board to cap it off.
Cracking job & vid as usual Nick. Big thank you as you’ve made me realise why I have very low resistance readings on my kitchen ring cpc, I’m convinced it’s interconnected somewhere. Customer had a recent board move & there’s an adaptable box full of those green & yellow din rail connectors. 👍
🙌🙌
Thanks for the video. I have to replace and move the fuse board exactly like yours. Your wiring in the fuse board is perfect. I can never lay out the wires as u do. Will try harder.
Dave Savo will love the neatness. 😂
Nice work ted 👍🏻
Looks really neat, good luck to Adam on his driving test
Setup in the new van is epic.
Great workmanship guys 🙌💪
lovely job Nicholas 👌🏼⚡️
Fantastic job guys, as always, super neat board. Old (er/ish) guy retraining for a different career so videos are a great way to relax and learn at the same time. I need to find someone like you to work with during my training...seems like a difficult task at the moment.
Smart install and van looking good
Very neat install you guys are a great team.
That’s a work of art 👍 love your content. Good luck to Adam.
Really nice end product!
Very smart tidy install with a couple of spare ways, as no doubt Jordan (Artisan) will be round next week to fit an EV charge point, best of luck Adam for your test, I hope we haven't spooked him, I wouldn't fancy my chances now at a driving test, I took it in 1971 in Jesey CI, it took 12 minutes and passed
Great video and advice too!
Your van set up looks very efficient.
I wondered how you extended to a new location.
Makes sense
Top work. I have been looking for a crimper, but have ordered the one you use because for 20 notes that looks pretty good.
Good Luck Adam!
Nice job nick and good luck Adam for your test 👍
Ahh mate, that's SO tidy! Good work - and good luck to Adam, I'm sure he'll be fine :D
Cheers kip 👍
Great Video Nick and Adam, nice job and thanks for the mention.
🙌
@@NBundyElectrical I will give you a shoutout to my 29 subs. I am sure they will give you a watch 🤣🤣🤣
It's great to see that you are using proper Din rail terminals and not Wago connectors.... Please keep this up as it makes the job a good one+ if you have to test circuits in the future it's a lot easier
Enjoyed the video as I don’t do domestic. Very neat and tidy.
good luck adam if anything like your workmanship you will have noo problem
Love the van, mine needs sorting, you'd think Oscar the grouch is about to pop out
1:46 ooh shots fired back 😆😆😆
Very neat. Lovely job.
Id love to work for N Bundy.. i think it would b a great laugh all day with them.
Watch all your vids, keep them coming, learnt so much already 💪🏽👍🏽
hi nick thought the re-fit of the new ford transit custom van was very good for part 1 but I would of like to see part 2,
and the finale out lay all done thank you
new subscriber and i would like to say thank you for not swearing .
Not a problem bud 👍 thanks
A toggle clamp would be perfect for your long level 👍🏼
Good luck adam hope you pass so you can get amongst that new van 🤣
The board doesn't worry me although props to the customer for going ahead and updating his protective devices 👍👍👍 good customer award 🏆
...the only thing that bothers me is that someone artexed a ceiling less than 15 years ago 🤦♂️😆
Shame you can't cam Adam taking his driving test ,he will get at least 30,000 views,I have employed quite a few apprentices and Adam is well advanced ,good luck on your test 👍
Awesome tidy job buddy.
Good luck on your driving test Adam 🚘🚙🚚
Good luck Adam 👌🏻
Look at that van !! Black and slick and 😎🤤👍🍔🍟😝
Hey up like they say oop north😂 nice neat job just not enough flexiCon!
I think the DIN rail mounting blanks look so much better than the metal ones.
as a person living in the US, it always baffles me how small your guys' residential panels are, and how little amount of circuits they have in them.
higher voltage and no AC units, usually gas heating in UK homes
Generally smaller houses too...
In U.K we have a Ring Main System since 1960s where you can have as many Points within 100m/2, where US its all Radial to each point, all works are to be within Regulations.
no you good job nick well done adam
Great tiy work and very clean
Nice job! 👍
Good luck with the driving test i passed mine a week ago. After being cancelled 3 times cos of lockdown
We use those boxes quite often with our company in Northern Ireland, we just call them Gee Whizz :) quality video sir !!
Lovely job 😍
You good job Adam good job Good luck Adam on your driving test.
Any type A RCBOs for all the dc equipment ?
Vert nice indeed! Hi from Thailand!
Hi Nick loving the videos and some great tools will be having yo get myself.
Can you explain more about about the kmf switch please, can you extend past 3m if fitted?
Just a bit of extra cream going forward, mark up the legs of the ring finals so you know which L/N & cpc corresponds. So when you or someone else has to do testing at the dB you don’t have to pull out the legs and mess up the neatness.
So, you've stripped out a perfectly adequate fully functioning consumers unit then replaced it by inserted 50 joints at the start of the field wiring thereby reducing its integrity! Pedantry and excessive use of BS7671 regs have prevailed on this install. Practicality, common sense, and fairness has not.
I’m not an electrician but my father used to teach electrical installation so I can appreciate the quality and neatness of your work, its a shame it all has to be covered up. Good luck to Adam, keep up the excellent work I enjoy watching the videos.
Congratulations on 20k
great job
Great video. Good to see you are getting work off the RUclips fame. New van you good job.
Its good job. Weldone
great job mate very neat :)
9:22 Being trolled by your customer, PRICELESS!!! 😆😆😆
Nice one

very neat nice job though chaps.
Good video
You good job!!
Cheers for the mention haha, the vans looking sweet. Shame there was no flexi in this video
Cheers dude 👍 and always a sad day without flexi
Butifull job.well done
You got a link to that cut out switch pal?
bootlace ferrule on wires good job
38:47 measure the length you need the total label, divide by the number of slots, enter that as your spacing size. easy.
You good job 👍
Spaces between rcbos? Thoughts people? And crimping. Necessary?
Nice work man. But 16:30 a long day 😅😅
Have you tried using the new mini RCBOs from FuseBox yet?
Hi really nice neat job. I'm relocating my CU and need to extend two rings circuits and 2 light circuits. K love the way you did yours. Where did you get you adaptable box and the terminals?
Keep up the good work.
Good luck to Adam for his driving test!
You good job
What model of c.k grips are they at 13:17. Thanks flex
Afternoon Nick, nice video. Is that the Ford trail model or have you changed the grill? With the terminal blocks going a bit funny, you could try using end shields and end stops, that should give them a bit of ridigity for larger cables. Have a good weekend.
love tht din rail system to bad i will never get a chance it seems to use it although it is approved and ul listed for the states
Those din rail connectors are offset because they"re upside down compared to the others. Had me a few times that. They look the same but the clips on the back are slightly off set.
Legend good to know 👍
Do you have a link to the din rail connectors you use?
New colours were out in 2004. The year i first started 🙈
