This video brings tears to my eyes. What an awesome video! What an era. The F14; greatest plane ever made. To any man who flew this bird, I salute you. I was in the navy flight program in '81 - '82. I had good enough grades to make it to jets, but did not make it through the program due to medical reasons. This would have been my dream plane to fly. If you flew an F14, you did what I can only dream of doing, and didnt. God bless you. I wish I could get hold of this video. Anthony.
Magnificent. Loved the formation at the end. Was pretty stupid to take the upgraded new gen B and D models out of service. I fear we are gonna pay a heavy price. But these machines have always been incredible, loved seeing them since I was a kid in the 70s, and kept up with them since they were first presented as a design one night in the 60s on the news. Salute to Grumman, the US Navy, and all the men and women who flew and maintained these incredible aircraft.
I got it through the squadron at an airshow. I'm sure if you look up "VF-213 Blacklions Final Tomcat cruise video" you should be able to find it on e-bay
i thought porn wasn't allowed on youtube lol, holy shit i miss this plane but i cant wait to someday fly with the navy and the best aviators the in the world god bless the Navy and the men and women that have the prestigious honor to fly these banshees

Badass vid, and a great fighter. I'm probably the only HT that's done a braze job on a cat, VF-154. Looked they also caught a shooting star at 6:23.

They were called the Sea Lions when I was in Air Wing 11 from 1990 to 1993 because most of their planes were in the ocean.
