I really like her energy. In South Korea, where people are not really friendly to foreigners and can even be mean, you can get very jaded in Korea. She has surprisingly maintained a lot of that positivity unlike my friends who have mostly left Korea with very negative assessments of the locals despite 4-5years there.

Thank you for these interviews. I've definitely felt more positive reactions from older people here, not that I've had many negative experiences here. Living in Korea has been complicated (but I imagine it'd be the same anywhere else, especially in a homogenous society), but the overall experience has been positive.
I saw a youtuber that felt thankful that she was in Korea so that she would not get cat called or harrassed but surprisingly enough sometimes she would bump into really agressive guys. Most ar married so I think women have to use wisdom.
Lol being black in italy i can totally relate to a lot of this things, I went for a wax at an Italian spa nd all the women stared at me so much nd some asked me about my braids and even touched it, I'm very welcoming naturally so I just let them but my friends will always tell me to not let them touch my hair, again when they stared at me on the street I just smile at them and I've been to South korea nd I love it
Well yeah l agree with ur friend...U are a person not somebody's pet. Had you would have made any strange moves around them they probably would call the police thinking ur gonna rob them or some shit.
I was only in Seoul for a week, so I'm sure people who are there longer have experience a lot more. I had my hair braided in a black and blue bob when I went. I knew I was going to get stares for multiple reasons, but I'm used to that since I wear J-Fashion. I got lots of stares, and there was only one time that I had someone move away from me and my friends on the train. Mostly, I got lots of compliments on my hair while we were sight-seeing, and no one touched my hair without my permission -- that surprised me the most, because my white coworkers try to touch my hair at work all the time, -_-
You know this girl and this channel are so articulate and charismatic. I guess experience being a teacher and speaking publicly makes for great interviews. This show is less about being black than about cross cultural communication and perception. Tight.
Clickbait titles are not the best way to get and keep viewers. The video, while interesting, doesn't address her issues with Korean men until the last 2 minutes. Viewers coming for that specific topic will be pretty annoyed and not only not subscribe but tell their friends not to either. First rule of business. A satisfied customer will only tell 10 people but an unhappy customer will tell 100 people. Just some food for thought.
@Carol Your comment is so full of disrespect and hate. You want to actually stop a whole population of people from seeking jobs? You really need to focus on yourself and unlearn whatever hate you've acquired in life. Let people explore other cultures, teach and grow.
Since I stumbled onto these videos i have been empowered and I am slowly gathering my courage to move abroad for a better career opportunity. Thanks and blessings to the folks who share their experiences.
I find the options on south Korea interesting. I started going to South Korea since 1996. Being military I never experienced any racism and definitely never felt they were shocked or never seen a black person before.
Well done video. As one who is passionate about world cultures and travel abroad, I'm so grateful for videos that provide the experiences and perspectives of black people abroad.
As far as air quality, I was in Korea in July last year...I traveled all over the place: multiple provinces: GapYeong, Nami Island, Chuncheon...Jeonju... The air never approached the level of pollution I experience daily in NYC. And it was nowhere NEAR as bad as the air in Shanghai.

what a beautiful young lady,i love her perspective on life.
Hello Felicia
How can I meet with Korean Man
I saw a youtuber that felt thankful that she was in Korea so that she would not get cat called or harrassed but surprisingly enough sometimes she would bump into really agressive guys.
Wow she’s so pretty her skin is flawless
I love to see my beautiful courageous sisters out here challenging the world!
Her skin! Sugoi!
I can use your smile when my day is not going well. Your smile a mood changer.
What a lovely kind woman
I was only in Seoul for a week, so I'm sure people who are there longer have experience a lot more. I had my hair braided in a black and blue bob when I went. I knew I was going to get stares for multiple reasons, but I'm used to that since I wear J-Fashion.
I got lots of stares, and there was only one time that I had someone move away from me and my friends on the train. Mostly, I got lots of compliments on my hair while we were sight-seeing, and no one touched my hair without my permission -- that surprised me the most, because my white coworkers try to touch my hair at work all the time, -_-
Wow, I don't know much she had in student loans, but to pay them off within 3 years? That's commendable. Loved hearing your story!
She's smart.👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 I stan.❤
Nobody is going to tell people not to watch this video.
Carol She was never hateful once. You sound like a total racist
@Carol Your comment is so full of disrespect and hate. You want to actually stop a whole population of people from seeking jobs? You really need to focus on yourself and unlearn whatever hate you've acquired in life. Let people explore other cultures, teach and grow.
Great job being debt free!😃
Realizing your dreams and value yourself know thyself🙏😆👏👏
I loved this video, she is beautiful her personality seems really refreshing. Can I get her skin care routine 👀👀
I clicked like before I watched because shes so pretty 😂
Loved her take on living in Korea and overall look on life. And good gawd she is so beautiful ❤️
Excellent series. You should try to get your program on PBS. It is very informative and interesting. Keep up the good work !
Total package beautiful and smart 😍😘
Since I stumbled onto these videos i have been empowered and I am slowly gathering my courage to move abroad for a better career opportunity. Thanks and blessings to the folks who share their experiences.
I find the options on south Korea interesting. I started going to South Korea since 1996. Being military I never experienced any racism and definitely never felt they were shocked or never seen a black person before.
Well done video. As one who is passionate about world cultures and travel abroad, I'm so grateful for videos that provide the experiences and perspectives of black people abroad.
I'm currently stationed on Osan Air Base and I second everything she says.
Her energy and spirit are both centered. 🌹
Beautiful girl. I really enjoyed this interview! New subbie with notifications too💖
This is my first time watching melanated files. this was great!
China can have some bad days. Beijing to be exact. :/
It is because the "bad air season" is in Spring and Winter
The bad air is 70 percent due to China moving all their air polluting factories and refineries to near Korea
Yeah but she’s from 🇨🇦
Enjoyed watching your interview. You are a beautiful and positive Canadian! Go Canada!
"The Foreigner nod"😂😂😂 I can definitely identify with that.
Beautiful young lady. The Koreans are so fortunate to experience her beauty.
