Good morning I have a great idea for your ThinQ refrigerator software development team. I need to be able to program the ice makers to not make ice between a set start time and end time so the ice makers will not call for water during water softener regeneration. Remember me when LG makes millions of dollars off of this amazing Innovative idea!

As for the units of measurements, this video was posted on the LG USA Support channel, and the majority of the USA uses imperial measurements, so this video was likely made with that in mind. @@LGUSASupport Metric is legal in the US, educated people, engineers, MDs, all scientists use it. I never met someone who could really use inch, oz, pounds etc.... WHen I see scales in pound, I ask for ounces, they can't serve me because their scale is in pound and decimal pound etc.... All LG products are designed in metric (otherwise nobody would buy them because they would fail :) ). You should at least display normal units in captions. I came to this video as first choice when searching how to set up a new LG fridge. I didn't expect an answer as it was one year old , in fact didn't notice it was US LG ! Note, I went directly to the app and it was OK.
My modem is 5.0 ghz. I can’t connect to the thin q app. It says “ no internet connection”. Tried restarting modem without success.It would have been nice to see the functions of my frig and what the temperature really is instead of what it is set at but oh well. I can connect everything else in my house to WiFi without issue so it’s something with LG.

Unbelievably stupid app and implementation. Appears to have been dreamed up by an 11-year-old who failed all the school modules on basic wireless networking. Buyer beware.

What is the default password to the LG_smart_fridge_E18B network?

Thank you for this info. However, I could hardly hear the narrator's voice over the din of the awful background music. Please find a professional to make your videos who knows how to adjust the volume of background music on the recordings. Better yet ask Google to develop a feature which can cut out the music track so that we can all comprehend what is actually being said....I love music, but this does not help one bit!

When I press and hold the WiFi button on my refrigerator, it does not flash as noted in the instructions. I pressed the button with the lock on and off of the refrigerator and neither option worked. Now, what do I do?

Is there anyway to turn off the refrigerator's WiFi?
Hi! Yes, there is. Once you've gone through the steps in the video to register and connect your refridgerator to the ThinQ app, you'd open the application and tap the menu icon in the top left corner. From here tap the refrigerator option then tap settings icon in the top right corner of the screen. Tap the Wi-Fi option and Tap 'Off.'
