Congratulations on choosing the guest. Together you made one of the best podcast on the channel! As a SWAT team leader and acting as an EP in Brazil, I have the opportunity to be together, working and exchanging knowhaw with exponents worldwide names of several EO units and some ex-EO acting as EP, and I can say, without fear of committing injustice with the other guys, that Todd Fox is the most focused, disciplined and technical guy with whom I had the honor and opportunity to exchange experiences, work and learn. Here we say that he is a "point outside the curve". I read his books and both have a prominent place in my library. They are a compendium of everything that works and makes a difference not only in the field of theory but also in the most valuable association of technique with the field practice of a man who made excellence a habit. thank you brother !

Todd is a professional. I have worked with him in Brazil many times over the years. I have seen him work 20 hour days for a month leading his teams (including me) in Rio, São Paulo, Recife, Belo Horizonte, Brazilia, Curitiba, and Porto Alegre. He works at all levels and treats the locals with great respect. I’m glad to see him doing some publicity for once!

Great podcast! Todd is that guy you would pass on the street, not knowing he is weapons grade destruction capable, violence in context of course. He continues to teach me so much over the years with the ever moving target of knowledge. He was way ahead of the intelligence curve in rolling out security standards before stuff around the world starting hitting the fan. Others were playing catch up. Thank you Todd for sharing and thank you Andy for giving him the platform!

Excellent podcast by two outstanding professionals and warriors. I have trained with Todd during his celebrity protection class, an outstanding experience with both classroom and practical exercises. I did this several months prior to retiring out of the U.S. Army. The instruction provided me with a skill set that I have effectively utilized since retirement during the DAPL protests in North Dakota and in Iraq for over the past three plus years. A quiet professional, who is always willing to share information, one of the most down to earth security practitioners that I have met in my 30 plus year military and security career.

Andy- Great guest, I don't know Todd but he came off as authentic on every subject he spoke about including his vocal imitation of OG BJJ instructors from Brazil "Aye buddy" ...LMAO. Having experience in most of the things he spoke about including law enforcement , jiu-jitsu , EP/event security oh and being a wine lover made this very interesting! You and Todd nailed it bro, great conversation with a perfect balance of serious topics (law enforcement training) and some funny shit mixed in like the BJJ and Hollywood stuff. Very enjoyable, could have listened for a few more hours. And of course...you are a supreme ball breaker which never disappoints ...thank you for your wise ass commentary. You rock bro, keep up the great work!

Todd is a stud...he is like the modern Renaissance man...gun fighter, author, overseas traveler, Hollywood insider, and a BJJ killer. In his book "Protection For And Against Humanity" he describes the "X" as the center of the ambush and that is exactly what his Jiu Jitsu feels like. He actually teaches a move, demonstrates it on you, and then while rolling does it to you while you helplessly try to escape. It feels like his description of being choked for the first time in a triangle!

I began training with Todd 25 years ago. His skill sets are outstanding, his knowledge base and experience are vast, most importantly he is a great teacher. For everyone time, money, and energy are finite, invest them wisely. Train with Todd, buy and study his book. Do this for your family, for all you care about, for yourself.

I’ve gone through a few of Todd’s training. Wow... let me tell you how knowledgeable this man is! Todd’s approach is much towards developing a strong mindset and critical thinking. From all the training I have taken before (internationally) Todd teaches you the things that no one else knows. I have never been exposed to any training like his. I truly encourage you to seek for his training ASAP!! Also, the dude has published books!!! Great reads honestly, super easy and interesting. My life completely changed since the moment I met Todd Fox.
    Stay safe guys.

What a great interview! That was the first podcast I’ve ever listened to, ever hahahaha
Todd and I go back a little over 15 years and his understanding and the way he articulates his jujitsu is something that I have always appreciated and respected.
On occasion I’ve had the privilege of being shown behind the curtain of some of what goes into running a successful and professional protection agency. I was utterly blown away by The attention to detail and multiple layers of protection and systems that Todd has in place on any given detail. It was crazy impressive.
Outside of running my own jujitsu Academy, I am just now getting into the security/protection field. Todd’s book could not have come out at a better time, not only for me, but for our entire country. The book is simple and to the point, making it easy to retain/implement right away.

Todd Fox is a great and loyal guy. And the real deal. If you want protection from a person that is very calm and very professional then Todd Fox is your guy. My family and I needed to stay in Mexico City every week for a couple of months. Todd being the great friend he is for the past 30 years, made sure that we were prepared to be as safe as possible. I have never met a person that has always put in the time and effort to make sure things are executed in a controlled manner whether it is in his personal or professional life.

You can find respectable BJJ dojos all over North America and Europe now. Even smaller US towns often have great clubs. BJJ is the hot cheerleader at martial arts prom. GL in your search. I recommend checking the pedigree very carefully and be willing to spend more $ for the best available teacher. (It takes 10x longer to unteach someone's bad habits from a shitty instructor. Starting from zero with a great instructor is by far the most cost-effective long-term strategy for learning new skills.)

The reason why a lot of guys don’t roll in my area is time. They work 12 hour shifts and the amount of mandatory OT due to being understaffed is insane. When they are off they want to be with their families, relaxing and doing other recreational activities. Not to mention if they get injured off the clock they could potentially loose their career or ability to support their family at all.

    • @TourProTraining
      @TourProTraining 3 года назад

RW...you’re right. I worked at an agency that did 12 hr shifts. The one thing you need to consider is that if you don’t train, you run the risk of losing your life...which, to me, is more important than your career.

Law enforcement today is still relying on officer presence, the first level in the use of force, to deter everything. No one wants to accept we’re living in different times and there’s 0 respect for authority. Edit- I posted before listening to the entire episode. Todd mentioned the same thing.

    Henry Akins,
    Todd Fox,
    Travis,
    Shane Rice,
    Steve Oliver,
    or...
    Andy Stumpf!
    Comment, 1, 2, 3 place.
    1. Shane Rice - battled Cobrinha. Shane wasn't even in shape and he still hanged.
    2. Steve Oliver- dude is JACKED w/technique.
    3. Andy-because this is his page.
