🎯. Not that I don't have mad respect for both his experience and skills, but the concepts he's talking about have been around the tacmed community for a while. I was teaching this stuff back in 2016.

@@blameyourmamma my lifelong friend and paramedic instructor way back in 1988 was teaching a lot of these principles in the 90s. He was a former Medic who served three tours in Vietnam, before being seriously injured and medically retired. It's amazing the amount of information and skills you can learn from former military medics

During an extended and all "EXCLUSIVE" vacation in Panjwai, Afghanistan in 2010 my unit realized that the basic Combat Lifesaver Skills that we were trained on were not enough to preserve/save life or limb so our phenomenal PLT and Company medics ( A. Lipski, K. Chumley, W. Blair) love you guys, always provided additional, consistent, and current training. Getting to the point of this comment, I never put gloves on to work on my brothers, however, when it came to indig personnel the gloves were on.
Side note, don't come at me with some bullshit comments like "Whats the difference between soldiers and indig people"? Vaccines and hygiene are my reasons. The last thing anyone wants is to contract something from someone you're trying to help.

Andy- I'm wondering if Blair or any one of your interviewees ever served with my buddy Alexi Whitney in Marine Recon, CIA or the contracting world. Alexi is missed and has a star at Langley. Lots of memories.

A street fight v a ring ( or mat fight) are 2 different situations. If you train and spar on a mat or in the dojo, I encourage you to get outside in various environments. 1) your range May change optically if you use any boxing or wrestling 2) you’re used to seeing boundaries which do not exist outside of a controlled environment 3) land obstacles such an medium side rocks, tree roots or stubs, vehicles ect.... it’s just enough difference to change your routine if you don’t change it up. It just happened to me. My focus was there, but I felt like I was fighting in an empty football field. It made a difference. I’m gonna sharpen this shit up right now....

The real question to ask is this:
You're at a restaurant, balls deep in some ribs. Someone has a medical emergency, and you're the only one capable of rendering aid until the paramedics arrive. Do you give honey-barbeque flavored CPR?
