The most enduring and destructive conquest of Egypt was not European. It was the Arab conquests that decimated the Egyptian language. It is often said to kill a culture you kill their language, that's why when Europeans colonized later they learned this from the Arabs and would spirit children away to be taught in European schools, much like the janissaries in Turkey. This concept was completely new to Europeans, but developed much prior by Arab colonizers.
Both the Arab and European colonizers destroyed Egypt and most of Africa. European was no better and once these colonizers and their mentality vacate Africa and African minds they will be way better and living in harmony with their environment before those evasive species arrived.

Imagine calling them 'African' Pharoahs, when the Pharoahs were also African (Sure, not all of them, technically speaking). But come on, this sounds ridiculous (and this is coming from an Egyptian).
Well to be fair in antiquity many parts of northern Africa were not populated by the south saharan Africans with dark skin, but rather lighter skinned demographics that originated in the levant and other mediterranean regions. Places like Egypt and Catharge (modern day Tunisia) were not originated by black Africans, even though the modern day demographics are largely influenced by them for a number of reasons. The old kindgom Pharaohs did not originate from within the African continent and had mostly Caucasian phenotype with red hair/ligher skin...

@@Punny1234 The enduring colonial legacy is still the Arabic one, comparatively the Europeans had little effect.
Arabic is all about subjugation... I find it funny that he says the Arabs where welcoming. Why where the Moors drove out of Spain? Was it because they where so welcoming? I. Not saying all Muslims are bad, but history don't lie
@@Punny1234 : Yeah , getting rid of those Europeans did wonders for Africa , they reverted back to the stone age .
@@disgustedvet They like all societies were living in harmony with their environment, I am sure they weren't waiting around For Arabic or European invaders to bring them out of the "stone age". The Europeans should have stayed in that ice box of Europe where they belong and their Arabic cousins where they belonged also.
Egypt was an extension of nubia. Nubia predates Egypt
Excellent video
Great history lesson.
Imagine calling them 'African' Pharoahs, when the Pharoahs were also African (Sure, not all of them, technically speaking). But come on, this sounds ridiculous (and this is coming from an Egyptian).
Racism is ridiculous. He goal is to disassociate black people from Egyptian civilization. The question is why?
The current Egyptians are not the real stuff. Frauds
Love this adventure! What a gorgeous place.
Love this thanks for sharing.
_"In 2010, genetic fingerprinting [determined that] Tutankhamun actually carries a “double dose” of the allele named for him. _*_Like most of the other genes in the family, it is Central African in ancient origin,_*_ but unlike the other markers it has a sparse distribution outside Africa with a worldwide average frequency of 4%. Still, Africans and African-influenced populations (1 in about 10) are about twice or three times as likely to have it as non-Africans.

Great documentary, time well spent. Thanks.
ALL pharaohs were African. And Egypt itself SAID its roots were in the south in "Ta-Seti"/the land of the bow .
Amazing stuff!
Love my country 😍😍😍😍
Kitchener didnt use only the Nile but more so the railway line that was being built at an astounding rate . The local warlords had never seen such a steel monster which could transport its own tracks to proceed to khartoum bringing with it thousands of troops and supplies and water , the most valuable commodity in the Great Desert . Read one of Wilbur Smiths books called The Triumph of the Sun . It is based on Gordon and his fight to maintain power on behalf of Britain in Sudan. Fantastic story all based on truth.
They had no business there, greed and hate of the Europeans destroyed a lot of cultures.
@@clovers1962 I fully agree. And still today its the same, the Rothschilds and Freemasons on behalf of the Vatican run everything. They own it all through Vanguard and Black Rock Bank. Now the killing is well on its way to reduce us all to 500 million.
Ok so my question is, why arw these people always all up in Africa's business?!

@@theangryaustralian7624 I find your linear thinking typical, thats really unfortunate because you missed the entire point!
No your points are black histotry can only be told by blacks how dare white scholars study anything but Europe thats all your point is
@@theangryaustralian7624 No, my point is, there are hundreds of years worth of receipts to date proving that not only are European "historians" incapable of understanding African culture, they are also incapable of telling the truth! European historians can barely tell the truth about their own history, just liars and thieves; and if that grinds your gears, too bad! People of color all over the world have, and are more than capable, willing, and able to frame our own narratives; past, present, and future! The thought of that may be a bit discomforting to some non people of color perhaps, but the European belief that they or you will be in control of what is believed to be fact about the continent of Africa is futile. Get used to the idea of European opinion having less importance and less influence in the very near future! That is just the natural order of things.

If you say the black pharaohs so what were the others
Good documentary
Yes it is it started in Sudan
I think he stated “Black” Pharaohs for two reasons. 1) Many people associate pharaohs with Egypt and not Africa 2) Many people don’t know that Egypt IS IN Africa, therefore making all pharaohs, Black
It all comes down to the whitewashing of history. I honestly think that’s why he said it
What's this? I never heard of American Pharaohs or European Pharaohs or Asian pharaohs. All Pharaoh's were African, Black Africans.
Africans are black if a white person was born in china would they be considered Chinese. And are there any other types of pharaohs.
Some of the Pharaohs had West Asian ancestry and as a result passed the paper bag test.
The later dynasties were greek, aka european
