I've had my 06 s197 since 2011 Jan 2nd to be exact. I drove it hard and it only needed an alternator to this day! And many Nittos...

Hold the traction control button down for a few seconds. It turns everything off. Huge difference.

THAT'S AWSOME MAN I LOVE MUSTANGS AND I HAVE 7 MUSTANGS IN MY COLLECTION 4 SHELBY CARS AND 2 COBRAS AND A COUPLE OTHER CARS BUT I HAVE A 07 SHELBY GT THAT IS MY DALY DRIVER AND I LOVE THE CAR BECAUSE I CAN USE ALL THE POWER ALL THE TIME AND I LOVE TOO SEE HOW THE CAR RUNS WITH A BLOWER. LOL I AM SURE IT WON'T BE NOTHING LIKE MY 2 SUPER SNAKES OR MY GT500 OR COBRAS BUT IT MUST BE A BLAST TO DRIVE.

@@GasMonkeyGarage I have responded to that quite a few times, as have others, and you don't seem to hear. GO BACK TO YOUR ROOTS! BUILD SOMETHING COOL LIKE YOU ONCE DID! At least every now and then. A lot less buying something only to turn around and flip and using the profits to increase your bank account.

I'm so glad you guys are building a "shenanigans" vehicle. The one thing this channel is missing is fun and crazy vehicle builds or testing. The burnouts, speed, or crazy offroad stuff other channels have. Don't get me wrong, I love the buying and selling aspect of the business but ya'll need more fun (at least on camera). You guys should do a build off. Teams of 2 with a low budget and cheap crappy cars. Turn it into a multi vid series, maybe 5 vids and do some basic testing. 0-60, drag race, offroad capability, blah blah blah. More fun is all I mean. Been watching since Overhaulin days. I'm a Mopar guy so those are always my fav vids. Keep up the amazing work guys and Richard for keeping this all afloat for this long.
They had the Pinto build-off recently, but I do agree that more competitive builds could be fun. Maybe a sequel to the bike competition they had on the show.

Thanks for this video been wondering how I could freshen up my 08 mustang that's pushing 200k. Only got a 4.0 v6 but being a 5 speed its a lot of fun. Wish I could put a 5.0 coyote in it but can only dream.

For people saying it can’t burn rubber I can testify that it can with ease even with the traction on but obviously better with it off. These are great cars and used to be cheap even a couple years ago. Got my 07 gt/cs with 75k miles for 13k. 300hp rwd not a bad price

My dad bought an 08 mustang and as cheaply built as it was i loved it cause it was just fun, unfortunately im way to big and tall to fit in it for practical use. and we sold it in the next couple months

This was the car that started the whole new muscle car era. There would be no challengers or camaros if it wasnt for this specific car. Let alone shelbys, hellcats, or zl1. So to call it a POS is not only disrespectfull but also shows a total lack of awarness of the impact it had by bringing back the whole retrostyling on muscle cars, bringing the audience back and, therefore, restarting the performamce wars that brought to life a lot of cool cars since then. The 4.6 is a weak engine, infact you could argue that even by 2005 standards it wasnt a great powerplant. You could even argue that the car should ve come with the 32v version of the engine. Still 300hp was ok by 2005 standards on an affordable production car. You have to be an imbecil to call it a POS because you compare it with current hi performance cars or custom builds costing houndreds of thousands. Sure, a coyote or an LS is a better engine. In fact, the 3v (5.4 and 4.6 were problematic). But that car relevance trascends the shortcommings of it's powerplant. They eventually made faster versions and fit it with the coyote. It has gone up in value because it is a significant and relevant car, that still looks cool. Show some respect and try not to come out as an asshole. Any idiot can build a car with unlimited budget, free parts, etc. That 4.6 sounded pretty good for a stock car from factory.
Not to mention the Challenger, Charger, and Camaro will all be gone from production within 6 months. These pricks can hate all they want but the Mustang has, and always will get the last laugh.

Bbk cold air adds nothing. Because the air tube remains same diameter 😂 JLT cold air has bigger diameter air tube and more airflow also requires a tune to change air metering numbers to compensate for bigger air tube

U could have coyote swap it faster than bolting junk on it and having it tuned properly to work properly with the modification and it would be cheaper and faster
