      @@gpw203 No doubt. I just hate the idea of having a car that just sits & does nothing because it's worth a ridiculous amount of money. This is obviously an expensive car but it's a hardcore driver which is how it should be in my opinion. I could easily get 5x what I paid for alot of the sports cars I own but none are concourse condition like that Daytona.

    In 91 I was building a new pulp mill in northern BC, living in an apartment complex, living the c-10 lowrider dream as a kid basically. A guy (from New Zealand), his wife and young daughter lived in suite below. He worked on mill construction also, but drove the rustiest most clapped out POS early 70's 1/2 ton, mustard crap yellow. Always working on it, and looking like it's on its last day. He comes over to my shiny hot rod after months of seeing me, and starts asking incredibly detailed and competent questions. Then shares his live story. He works all over the world on big projects, but loves cars. Here he had a Hemi superbird and Hemi factory wheel altered (I believe it was?) GTX. Both his cars were centerfold Hot Rod cars, and the deck car carrier he built, had a blown 440 which picturers showed beautiful. On days off he and family would drive to neighboring cities junkyards and buy certain engines, trans and rear ends. He'd package them in c-cans and ship home, were they could order parts for rebuild. Cool cool fella! If ever there was a story for don't judge a book by its color this was it! This guy bled Mopar! I often wonder what his collection looks like today.

Super nice man/family, living poor life on the road, living large at home :-)

    Great find. Amazing what a pointy nose and big wing on the back,and the aerodynamic back glass will do for the price of a '70 roadrunner. My lime 70 roadrunner was just a low buck 383 4 speed but with a 440 its a ball to drive and I'm not scared to drive it and park it at the grocery store. Not knocking the superbird. I love it! I'm 63 and remember working at a service station in the mid 70's one night and a guy came in there with a ragged out lime green superbird that had lost the rear wing and was in terrible shape and I plugged a tire for him. Those things were dirt cheap then like most musclecars. My how things have changed!

      guess that's why you don't have a 200k car as you dont have the respect enough from anyone to make a payment and take the ride away lol.

    • @dutch0770
      @dutch0770 4 месяца назад +1

      @ColdVenom159 right... because respect will get you back your 200k, right? 🙄

    • @ColdVenom159
      @ColdVenom159 4 месяца назад

      @dutch0770 because Richard has the respect from people as he's trusted. it's proven in the video. Ignorance is a bliss. we won't get into the fact Richard got his start from Chip Foose which is a legend in the game one of the most respected names in the industry.

    Probably the best looking SuperBird I've seen. White does it right. I'd take that over the orange Daytona.

    My childhood best friend is the son of a Plymouth dealer. I spent a few days during the summer riding in a green bird like that one. It was in the William's carport for a few weeks here and there. Super cool memories. GTX's & Chrysler Imperials filled my childhood. I could recite the sales brochures. Probably would have made a decent parts gopher, at 8. Great time to be alive, it was.

    I’m a little bit older than you Richard but I had my first infatuation with a super bird in chartuse green in Altus , OK in 1970. Begged my Dad to buy it. No dice. They were high priced in the day but not many cars made since get my goat like this GOAT:)

    never really loved these cars either -but growing up seeing the real thing race back at Riverside as a kid- this Bird's style is real deal NASCAR of the day - the seller knows what's up. Legit
