I am not a dealer but a collector - one at a time. I have made several trips to find out the pictures and promises did not hold the price. Empty trailer home is no fun but sometimes necessary.
RR is a businessman. Deep pockets shouldn't mean paying the asking price when he's clearly not going to be keeping them. If the guy who's selling them doesn't need the money, he just wants to give the cars a new home, never bite the hand that feeds, especially when the cars are just sitting there, potentially going rusty or mechanically bad. RR knows his business. He's been doing it long enough to know what makes money and what's just not worth it, and to walk away.
This guy is way to cool to have his own YT channel: the shades, the arm sleeve tattoos, the black shirt, the beer routine before travel! Damn - he’s got all his boxes checked for mid life crisis
I hear you brother that's some funny s*** Richard was the Barney five of some small town in Texas for probably a year or two they probably had him fingerprinting car doors on Stolen CD players LOL
Great episode. I like when you can feel the tension in the air. Unlike Dennis, Richard throws numbers out. Dude was outnumbered 3 to 1. I bet he wishes they were his cars to sell. He seemed pretty tense.
Well you never know did you watch it carefully right there at the end it says stay tuned for part two next week Same bat Channel same bat time Uh oh I think I'm aging myself here with that one
i would have never trashed the cars in front of the guy. That would have made me pissed off and I wouldn't have sold them any cars. I've seen guys like this before, they act like they are doing you a favor by giving you their price on the car. NO SALE at them prices.
Coming from a car dealer family I have this to say. What a bunch of pricks, all showing up to bully the seller. The one dude goes to compliment the restoration of the MG and is cut off by the other dude. As if to say, don't say anything nice about the cars. I haven't watched the end of the video yet but I'm going to say No Deal. This is a master class in how not to approach purchasing classic cars from their owners.
This is why I would never sell a collector car to a car flipper. The guy said it at the end. He wants to buy cars at wholesale so he can turn around and sell them at retail while people like me and the guy with that collection want to be the one selling their car at retail...not wholesale. Why should a person who isn't desperate for cash hold on to a rare car for years and then finally sell it for half its potential value so the new buyer can be the one to make a nice quick profit?
I know you quit with discovery but it'd be nice to see an update or continuation of the Garage Rehabs you did, and new ones, it was a great idea to help out others and in these trying times there should be plenty of scope for more maybe under a different title

He basically said, "Too much money for what he can sell it for here". Implying it'd be worth more somewhere else. But then he'd have to pay export taxes, plus whatever the country he shipped it to charged, etc.
Awesome finds! You should make your way up to the western slope. Grand junction is full of old cars. Found 1 or 2, automatic, 2018 Canadian challenger ta models here.
Hello triple R, I’m back. I noticed you missed me. I had to travel a little. My platoon wanted their platoon sergeant. I had the brig platoon. You had to been in the brig for two months to two years. Best of the best of the Corps. I drove my 1980 vett up their. When I got her home again I almost got 5 thousand miles on the lady. She did good. She had to be fed every five hundred miles. Need a 11 rear end. At 75 she’s setting right on the red line. Muncie four speed top speed is 85 on odometer. Your in red line at 75 1/2. But she fast enough me. I get all kinds of looks. I'd like a 68 big block vette 4 spd. metal T-tops, Astro Ventilation, all black with black interior, manual steering with quick ratio steering arms, black western hurricane rims sporting 14" wide ET drag radials factory side pipe car with carbon fiber suspension oh, and possibly a rear spoiler. Am I asking for too much?
