Richard, been following you for years. Always loved watching your show. I always looked forward all week for the next episode with the same excitement I had as a kid when Dukes of Hazzard would be airing Friday nights sitting in front of the old floor model wood framed tv with my Dukes barn and general lee. Dude, you seriously need to lay off the drugs and alcohol. Its gonna turn around and bite ya eventually.

I was a year and half old baby when my mom, dad and I was stationed in Minneapolis in '69 just before my dad was shipped out to Vietnam.
After his one year tour of duty at that shitty war he came back to Ames, Iowa only to get spit on while getting of the bus. Luckily he came back whole, physically, and he did the best he could after. He left us almost three years ago finally succumbing to the agent orange he was exposed to in that stupid war. My dad was a gear head genius who grew up on a dairy farm in Ames, Iowa and read about Richard Petty in hot rod magazine. In his senior year in high school he had built a beautiful '57 Chevy with a suped up motor and painted midnight blue. If anybody around Tennessee who knows or did know Ed Wittacker may know who my dad was.

I know Troy real well, I worked on the wagon a few years back in our tire shop. I’ve got pictures of it. In the shop, He just sold his dealership a few months ago. Not exactly a straight shooter, those cars used to be real nice, but unfortunately, the man has a drinking problem, cars all get messed up the way they were stored at his old dealership, not to mention how he and his employees beat the death out of them cars. What part of town is this guy from?
He was scared about 200k but they settled for 225k but dang all those cars. They said it was going to be close to 45 cars so if you do the math that is about 5k a car. That vet alone is probably a good 15 to 20k. The GTO is a good 30k to 40k the camaro 30k. He is already at 80k in 3 cars. He is going to make a Boat load of money quite literally.

My dream car is the 1970 Chevy Nova 2 door with a 350. It was my first car ever. My cousin and I tore out the stock 307 and mounted up a 350 that was board 30 over with a Molly race cam which my dad and grandfather hated the idea. In that day it was a badass car leaving stock mustangs and Corrvetts in the dust. Since watching Gas Monkey I've always thought wouldn't be so freaking awesome if I could afford Richard finding me a 1970 Nova and building it up. I grew up with many old school cars my first job was a forklift operator in a junk vehicle yard. And today I would rather own a older vehicle then almost any thing new. And if I couldn't have the 1970 Chevy Nova it would have to be the 1964 Buick Riveria. Which I also once owned.

Loved this episode. Richards drunk the entire time. 🍻 I love hitting new bars buzzed. The gto is a 65. Only had one possible engine. The 389. Unless it had an engine swap. 400s did not come until 67, and 455s did not come until 70. Also Chase is looking on the wrong side of the block for the number. Left side near f/p will be a 389,400,455, ect. Pontiac guys are all shaken their heads lol
