I have seen amazing vocalists live ( yes they still exist) but this is just out of this world.
It seems so easy with her but holy shit that song is probably the hardest rock track to sing.
Yes it is! My band I perform Barracuda, and will be for the first time live this Friday night! (me being the lead singer) and let me tell you, I have SO MUCH respect for Heart and this song. I am super honored and blessed to even being able to sing this song. It is DEFINITELY the most intimidating song on our setlist.
If you'd like to hear a small teaser clip we are posting to our pag,, search "Morning Maple" on Facebook and find the clip In the most recently posted! Enjoy!
A real performance. No lip syncing. Great stuff.
I remember driving down the road in my 1967 Mustang in 1977 and this song came on the radio. I knew I was listening to the greatest song ever written. Yes my humble opinion.
The only problem I ever had with the song it is has an ending . . . .
1:30 She makes this seem so effortless. It's all about the attitude. She knew had the voice, she didn't need to over focus on it like some singers do.
Ann Wilson was so pretty .... and a damn good singer!
For the last year, I've been watching THIS video with the ALBUM's AUDIO (which I listed to decades again). I'm so glad that someone turned me on to the actual video of the '77 concert. Now, I can't stop watching this version. Damn, the Wilson Sisters & Heart are simply breathtaking.
It’s not just the notes that Ann sings that are awesome, but also the unique and creative phrasing over all parts, but especially the verses. I mean should took a fairly straight forward galloping riff and made it majestical with the melody she came up with. 😊
Thanks for clearing things up! I just saw the official music video with this same footage. So we have a phenomenal live version and the classic studio version with the same footage! Nice!
How much would you pay for a front row ticket to see Heart in 1977?
Incredible. Seen live in 1978 and will always remember. Thanks to the editor that got the instruments and more importantly, the vocals to match the lips.
That was ABC tv in Oz, late night show called Rage.
Classic rock at its absolute finest🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
