My name is Amanda Turner and I am a Real Estate Agent in Ajijic, Jalisco, Mexico specializing in buying and selling properties in the Lake Chapala area; home to one of the largest concentrations of American and Canadian expats in the world. Is there any water shortage like Baja California has? How’s the infrastructure? Does water get turned off regularly???? I’m told this area is a nice place to retire.

Hi, at the current moment, no there is not a water shortage as far as I know. We also just hit the rain season, so we're in good shape.

Depends on the size and the amount of work being done, but I would say anywhere from $5000 to $10,000 USD.
