Hi we are maybe interested in moving down 5-6 months out of the year. From Ontario, Canada. How safe is it to lock up the home and leave back to Canada every year?

It's actually very safe. We have MANY snowbirds here that spend their winters in Lake Chapala. Some will lock up when they or rent their property for the summer months.

what does the HOA include because that's a little high for an HOA fee and is it per month or per year?

It is quarterly. So about $125 a month, which is about average for the area. HOA’s most commonly include garbage, street lighting, security and common maintenance. Take a look at the clubhouse at the end and I’d say it’s 100% worth it.
