My name is Amanda Turner and I am a Real Estate Agent in Ajijic, Jalisco, Mexico specializing in buying and selling properties. I am a permanent resident of Mexico, and I have lived in Ajijic for 5 years.

@@therealamandaturner Hi Amanda, I live in Alvin, Texas, next to Houston. I was born in Mexico but raised here in Alvin all of my life. Well since 1979 when I was 9 years old.
@@danielax2350 ah ok! Yeah in some areas of the US, you’ll find the home prices similar to certain parts of Mexico. People are seeking monetary refuge in places like Ajijic, from the increasing inflation and high prices in large US cities, and being that Ajijic is so sought after, home prices will be higher here than some other parts of Mexico.

Anyhow we live in MD, going to PV( Vallarta) for a vacation end of July. But we r thinking of moving somewhere in Mexico and I came across your videos by chance while I was watching one about lake chapala and how there are so many Americans there. So anyhow, hopefully we can meet you one day .

Hey Amanda, How much money can I borrow to buy my mansion in Ajijic? What's the interest rate? Also I see that these homes are 3 or 4 bedroom and I as a single person don't need that, anything smaller for a single person? I know taxes are extremely low, but these homes still require some maintenance especially if they're larger. I've been living here in Cuernavaca Morelos for many years and my rent is so low why would I buy?
How much money you can borrow is based on your own financials, so I'm not sure. There aren't many mansions in Ajijic. If you are Mexican, your interest rate will vary, sometimes under 10%, sometimes over. Again, it's based on your own financial history. If you are a foreigner, it is very hard to qualify for a mortgage loan. All must be done in cash. There are homes here of all sizes. If you're comfortable renting instead of owning, stick with that. :)
