A friend recommended this to me - your site and this video as well as the one for walking . I'm 68 - 3 strokes and open heart surgery to repair a PFO . A lot of therapy and tears later I can walk again , use my arm somewhat and speak properly . However I was getting to where my lower back hurt and burned if I stood up and moved around more than "usual" . My legs were getting to where both were weak - the right one was really weak and my legs were staring to burn - painfully when I walked any distance - we're talking 50 yards and I'd have to stop and rest a few minutes with the pain coming back faster each time I restarted my walking . These 2 videos have helped so much - you can't imagine the felling of walking with a grandchild 3/10's of a mile down to the creek and then back up and not having to stop . I still have a ways to go and I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart . THANK YOU !!!
These are very touching and kind words! Thanks you so much for sharing ❤ I hope these videos and future videos can continue to help you with your health! Seems like you have been through quite a bit recently. I wish you all the best 😊
I just came across your video about climbing stairs and I thought, this is the best and clearest advice I have had. By showing how to do the exercises, it is exactly what I need. I have been getting weaker and weaker in my leg strength over the past 3 years, and I’m so frustrated that I am not getting any stronger. I realize that I must be more consistent, but I have found that if I do any exercises, I am worse for the next 2 days, so then I back off, thinking that is not good. I am 81 years old and was tap dancing up until 5 years ago, and now I have difficulty walking without a cane, and going up and down stairs is impossible without holding on to a railing, and using my cane. I am hoping that following your program that I will see an improvement and will then be one of your biggest cheerleaders! You are a good teacher, but I realize that being 81 years old, it will take me longer to build my muscle strength. I have subscribed so I hope I will receive all of your videos.
I am 83 yrs., had 2 spinal surgeries and 2 yrs. later, constant pain and increasing weakness. Have tried to follow some physio programs without success - further pain. Just tried your stair climbing and back exercises and so far, pretty good. Will proceed gently. Thank you for these age appropriate exercises. I have many stairs in my home and need to stay in place.
Thanks for sharing that - I am sorry to hear about your pain and the weakness you are experiencing. I hope these exercises can be helpful in your recovery! The aim of this channel is to make exercises age-appropriate and as accessible as possible! Wishing you the best of health, and welcome to this community! Shrey
I’m 75. Come across the 5 Best Back exercise. Practiced for a week, already feel better. Very effective. Many thanks. If possible, please show me how to maintain a degenerative back and related funny feelings on the feet from time to time.
Randomly came across ur channel and appreciate the exercises given. At 63 now and it’s time to take exercises seriously. Please advise, is it alright to exercise; 30mins after meals? I sit for couple of hours after dinner, slow stitching’s is my hobby, is that okay? Much appreciate ur advice. Thank you
in my 80's and I have difficulty getting up from the floor. Many of the back exercises are done on the floor...I cannot do these. Do you have alternatives?
I’m 75 years old - these are focusing on core and legs - SO GOOD !
