@@jetuwu8960 dude you ever eat pizza and then drink chocolate milk and get the worst stomach ache ever and you're sitting there on the toilet feeling like your insides are going to explode and theres literally nothing you can do except just sit there and wait for your guts to release themselves and you're sittin there for like at least 10 minutes waiting in agony and then finally u get that release and you're like damn that was the most courageous thing i've ever had to do

It’s like that sad scene in Edward scissor hands, where his creator (dad I guess) hands him those hands for Christmas, so he won’t have scissors for hands anymore. but then Edward accidentally breaks them because he got too mesmerized over how beautiful they were and his creator died right after that. We all take hands for granted yes.
We honestly do. Every damn day we people forget how much harder things in life could be.

I just had to cry thinking about a poor 4yo baby being burned that severely. My youngest son is approaching 4 and I can’t imagine my baby having to go through something like this. So much love to you and your overwhelming strength.

"Confidence is a habit, not a personality trait." is honestly such an important thing to remember. I'm always so envious of people who come across as confident but I must remember that they have worked on their confidence just as I am working on mine.
Confidence and self-love is beautiful and it warms my heart when people who have suffered and could have given up, but did not, preach and live with and by. They persevere and stay strong and continue to live a life that's worth while and I truly admire that.
I love this guy. I love his attitude. I hope he knows how strong willed and amazing he is, inside and out. I am a US Marine and I have been through a bunch of things from getting shot in combat, and I've been injured in motorcycle wrecks and and car wrecks that have left me scarred. My injuries made me want to give up on life and put me through a bout of depression that has been debilitating. Buddy If you read this I want and need you to know how amazing and strong willed you are. Everyone can learn so many things about life and happiness from this guy. Please stay strong. You need to try some public motivational speaking to show people your strength and give people the hope that they lost in life from things like this.

It is July 30th well 31st now and I am on internet because i want to stop thinking. I am a burn survivor too and i actually think i have met Johnny but I could be wrong. The thing is your comment has me bawling. I was burned when I was e (I dont remember) and then when I was 32. I also had other things happen to me and now someone I thought was a friend I found out victimized me. He exploited me for food and money and I finally got the courage to speak to some people about him ...a friend and his dad...though he doesnt know this...yet and I want to tell him I know he has conned people for years but I forgive him. But I am terrified...and I am never terrified. And I want to push forward because I feel eaten from the inside out. So your comment gives me hope

(Don't worry,I'm not a crank,i swear!). I hav a unique ability to be able to read people & as soon as i read ur post,felt a strong need to tell u that u are amazing inside & out & I hope that you yourself also know just how strong you are. The fact that he can talk regularly and can acctually type on the computer without fingers makes me extremely impressed.
This whole vid touched me but when he said we all have scars his is just more visible and not any less painful I felt that. I felt all of that.

The dog stayed in his arms in the fire the whole time and died during it. No person should have to endure that, and he did at 4. I cannot even imagine.
this just reminds me on how destructive fire can be. destroying an entire landscape in a second, devouring a small child's chance at looking "normal" it's terrifying. johnny is much braver and more resilient than i ever could be.

I have been badly burned by boiling soup on my legs, and it was the worst pain of my life by far. I can’t even comprehend what he had to go through. Best wishes to him and his family
My younger sister is four right now. It's just so difficult for me to think of someone so young being put through such pain as to be burnt like that. You're so strong, I look up to that.
We think that we have so many problems in our life....God has not given the things we deaseves but I must say you inspires so many people to think twice to say that I'm the unblessed one.

Nice words but you're just being PC. The outside is what it is and he must suffer for that a lot. All the nice words ain't gonna change that. God bless this young man. I will NEVER complain about issues in my life again. I wish I could hug him and thank him for helping me realize how selfish so many of us are, not even batting an eye on those who have been thru hell 1000 worse and not only survived, but THRIVED.

My soon to be husbands brother was
severely burned as well and lost both of his legs in the accident.. he’s able to smile & laugh I think it’s amazing how loving his family is. He looks similar to him. My heart grows every time I hear him laugh or smile, he’s so strong. People like this motivate me. Bless.

I'm so confused. This happened when he was a 4 yrs old. Then why does it say 18 year old Johnny was playing with a candle? It also said the woman was Johnny sister but she seems more like his mother.
I had to watch that part again, it was definitely grammatically unclear. He's 18 now, he was burned when he was 4.

He seems like a really fun person. I'm always touched by stories of overcoming. I have "survive & conquer" tattooed on my arm, and people like Johnny truly inspire me, and remind me of the truth of that phrase. Means a lot to me. I'm so happy for anyone who can accomplish not only surviving, but conquering, whatever life throws at them.
