This young woman was an inspiration to a 57-year-old man suffering with multiple sclerosis, paralysis and a whole lot of pain. I’m losing my eyesight now. Point is, I’m that person that’s not doing too well as far as looking at the positive side of things. This proud, determined lady helped me have a bearable night. I don’t know how I found this video, it just came up. Thank you for helping me tonight young lady.

It's not the most vilest and most cowardice thing someone can do but it's certainly high on the list.
My first thought was that I can’t bear to watch this today. Then I realized that if this young woman can recount such an unspeakable trauma, then I can honor her by hearing it. She is exactly the kind of person we need in medicine. May Nafiah and her GenZ peers push to fix what is broken.
Edit: After reading comments I realized my last sentence was vague. I was referring to her going into medicine and should’ve said may she & her GenZ peers (age of current med students) fix what is broken in healthcare systems-not violent crime. That’s on all of us.
For those who think it weird that a doctor wouldn’t be affected by this story, all I’ll say is I have daughters this age and…I’m human.

This girl’s knowledge of being grateful for life everyday is spot on.
My daughter started kindergarten this year she's had three physical incidents with students. Two of those incidents were with girls she called her "friends" in her kindergarten class i had to pick my beautiful 5 yr old daughter up early from school with a really large knott on her head and a bloody mouth because my daughter was punched in her teeth in the classroom on Thursday morning. Mind you, her teacher never reported the girls and my daughters injuries to her supervisor I withdrawn my child from that school, I went back to the school campus called the police and we now have a police report for both incidents. I have a strong belief that the parents of those girls that do physical harm to others need to be put under the jail for the rest of their life for raising bullies.
Man....sometimes the school system can surely be the worst place to handle social dynamics in which a vulnerable youngster is the one at the receiving end of mistreatment.
I'd suggest at this point in time you must teach your daughter social skills and how to advocate for herself and not let her peers disrespect/dehumanize/exploit/mistreat her. Trust me kids are nasty to other kids they perceive vulnerable in any sort of way. Start little by little.
And never stop! Always help your little girl navigate the world around her...or show her videos regarding such topic.! This is the age she needs outmost support.!

This is definitely someone that knows her. He waited for her to come home. He didn't attack her mom but her. Always follow your intuition. Never get out if someone is waiting or standing near you. Never turn your back on anyone. The detectives need to find this guy ASAP.

When I was 19, I had a boyfriend ten years older than me. He's the guy I lost my virginity to and I really loved him. He was very toxic but I failed to see that then. We argued a lot and once while we were in his car, he pulled out a flask and said that's acid and he's gonna pour that in my face. Worst thing is, I was fine with it because I felt like it's my fault and I deserve it so I just covered my eyes and told him to do it. He was procrastinating and I started to feel the fear of death take over me. Then he splashed it in my face, I took my hands off my eyes and just numbly blinked, waiting for my face to melt off. Luckily, it wasn't acid, he was just mentally terrorizing me. To think this could've happened to me too... Stay strong, girl, you're still beautiful!

Islam was the original Religion descended to earth from heaven with Adam and Eve (peace and blessing be upon them) in the beginning of humanity. and was passed to people with the succession of the 124 000 prophets and 315 messengers of God to all nations and civilizations since, passing by Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Ismaël, Joseph, Moses, Aaron, Joshua, David, Solomon and Jesus (Peace and blessing be upon them) during the history of mankind, the last replaces and completes the previous, until the succession of the last messenger of God fourteen centuries ago, Muhammad (Peace and blessing be upon him) to complete the noble morals of all mankind, to bring humans and jinns out of darkness into light, and to purify people's religion and belief from corruption and polytheism, and return it to purity and true monotheism, like it was in the times of the prophets (Peace and blessing be upon them).
Many Religions that we know nowadays, at their beginning were true and under Islam, initiated by one of the prophets of God, but their original teachings, history and scriptures have been corrupted over time with falsification and polytheism, or lost and replaced with false ones. That's why Islam is the only Religion accepted by God nowadays, which consists in bearing witness that there is no god besides Allah (God in Aramaic, the original language of Jesus and the Gospel), and that Muhammad is His servant and messenger, just like Jesus and Moses and others are His servants and messengers. Never a messenger of God said he was God or literally son of God, it was the people after him who changed the words of God and corrupted the Religion. God is unique and absolute, He does not need to have a family and sons or to associate anyone else with His kingdom, He can simply create whatever He wants, everything belongs to Him, and to Him everything will return. Allah said in Surah Al-Mu’minun : “God has never begotten a son, nor is there any god besides Him. Otherwise, each god would have taken away what it has created, and some of them would have gained supremacy over others. Glory be to God, far beyond what they describe. The Knower of the hidden and the manifest. He is exalted, far above what they associate. (91-92 / Translated by ITANI).
Allah means the one and only God, the God of all prophets and creatures, the creator of the universe and mankind, and the Master of the Day of judgment, where our destiny, Hell or Paradise, is decided based on our faith and deeds in this trial life, and above all, Allah's mercy.
Allah said in Surah Al-Ikhlas : In the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful.
Say, “He is God, the One. God, the Absolute. He begets not, nor was He begotten. And there is none comparable to Him.” (1-4 / Translated by ITANI).
Allah said in Surah An-Nisa : O FOLLOWERS of the Gospel! Do not overstep the bounds [of truth] in your religious beliefs, and do not say of God anything but the truth. The Christ Jesus, son of Mary, was but God's Apostle - [the fulfilment of] His promise which He had conveyed unto Mary - and a soul created by Him. Believe, then, in God and His apostles, and do not say, "[God is] a trinity". Desist [from this assertion] for your own good. God is but One God; utterly remote is He, in His glory, from having a son: unto Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth; and none is as worthy of trust as God. Never did the Christ feel too proud to be God's servant, nor do the angels who are near unto Him. And those who feel too proud to serve Him and glory in their arrogance [should know that on Judgment Day] He will gather them all unto Himself: (171-172 / Translated by Muhammad Asad).
Allah the Most Merciful said in Surah Ali-Imran : Behold, the only [true] religion in the sight of God is [man's] self-surrender unto Him; and those who were vouchsafed revelation aforetime took, out of mutual jealousy, to divergent views [on this point] only after knowledge [thereof] had come unto them. But as for him who denies the truth of God's messages - behold, God is swift in reckoning!
Thus, [O Prophet,] if they argue with thee, say, "I have surrendered my whole being unto God, and [so have] all who follow me!" - and ask those who have been vouchsafed revelation aforetime, as well as all unlettered people, "Have you [too] surrendered yourselves unto Him?" And if they surrender themselves unto Him, they are on the right path; but if they turn away - behold, thy duty is no more than to deliver the message: for God sees all that is in [the hearts of] His creatures.
Verily, as for those who deny the truth of God's messages, and slay the prophets against all right, and slay people who enjoin equity - announce unto them a grievous chastisement.
It is they whose works shall come to nought both in this world and in the life to come; and they shall have none to succour them.

I have a lifetime of trauma from my childhood and I am still going through it, sometimes I feel feel sorry for myself I pray a lot and I complain and ask God why, i cry a lot. Same here. Complex trauma and the resulting physical and mental illnesses (plus two car accidents) have made me very angry and bitter. I keep asking God to heal me and then get upset when it's taking too long(it's been years). So when I see things like this, I am ashamed at my irritation and impatience. This woman is absolutely amazing and I hope I can have her positive outlook all the time.

Islam was the original Religion descended to earth from heaven with Adam and Eve (peace and blessing be upon them) in the beginning of humanity. and was passed to people with the succession of the 124 000 prophets and 315 messengers of God to all nations and civilizations since, passing by Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Ismaël, Joseph, Moses, Aaron, Joshua, David, Solomon and Jesus (Peace and blessing be upon them) during the history of mankind, the last replaces and completes the previous, until the succession of the last messenger of God fourteen centuries ago, Muhammad (Peace and blessing be upon him) to complete the noble morals of all mankind, to bring humans and jinns out of darkness into light, and to purify people's religion and belief from corruption and polytheism, and return it to purity and true monotheism, like it was in the times of the prophets (Peace and blessing be upon them).
Many Religions that we know nowadays, at their beginning were true and under Islam, initiated by one of the prophets of God, but their original teachings, history and scriptures have been corrupted over time with falsification and polytheism, or lost and replaced with false ones. That's why Islam is the only Religion accepted by God nowadays, which consists in bearing witness that there is no god besides Allah (God in Aramaic, the original language of Jesus and the Gospel), and that Muhammad is His servant and messenger, just like Jesus and Moses and others are His servants and messengers. Never a messenger of God said he was God or literally son of God, it was the people after him who changed the words of God and corrupted the Religion. God is unique and absolute, He does not need to have a family and sons or to associate anyone else with His kingdom, He can simply create whatever He wants, everything belongs to Him, and to Him everything will return. Allah said in Surah Al-Mu’minun : “God has never begotten a son, nor is there any god besides Him. Otherwise, each god would have taken away what it has created, and some of them would have gained supremacy over others. Glory be to God, far beyond what they describe. The Knower of the hidden and the manifest. He is exalted, far above what they associate. (91-92 / Translated by ITANI).
Allah means the one and only God, the God of all prophets and creatures, the creator of the universe and mankind, and the Master of the Day of judgment, where our destiny, Hell or Paradise, is decided based on our faith and deeds in this trial life, and above all, Allah's mercy.
Allah said in Surah Al-Ikhlas : In the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful.
Say, “He is God, the One. God, the Absolute. He begets not, nor was He begotten. And there is none comparable to Him.” (1-4 / Translated by ITANI).
Allah said in Surah An-Nisa : O FOLLOWERS of the Gospel! Do not overstep the bounds [of truth] in your religious beliefs, and do not say of God anything but the truth. The Christ Jesus, son of Mary, was but God's Apostle - [the fulfilment of] His promise which He had conveyed unto Mary - and a soul created by Him. Believe, then, in God and His apostles, and do not say, "[God is] a trinity". Desist [from this assertion] for your own good. God is but One God; utterly remote is He, in His glory, from having a son: unto Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth; and none is as worthy of trust as God. Never did the Christ feel too proud to be God's servant, nor do the angels who are near unto Him. And those who feel too proud to serve Him and glory in their arrogance [should know that on Judgment Day] He will gather them all unto Himself: (171-172 / Translated by Muhammad Asad).
Allah the Most Merciful said in Surah Ali-Imran : Behold, the only [true] religion in the sight of God is [man's] self-surrender unto Him; and those who were vouchsafed revelation aforetime took, out of mutual jealousy, to divergent views [on this point] only after knowledge [thereof] had come unto them. But as for him who denies the truth of God's messages - behold, God is swift in reckoning!
Thus, [O Prophet,] if they argue with thee, say, "I have surrendered my whole being unto God, and [so have] all who follow me!" - and ask those who have been vouchsafed revelation aforetime, as well as all unlettered people, "Have you [too] surrendered yourselves unto Him?" And if they surrender themselves unto Him, they are on the right path; but if they turn away - behold, thy duty is no more than to deliver the message: for God sees all that is in [the hearts of] His creatures.
Verily, as for those who deny the truth of God's messages, and slay the prophets against all right, and slay people who enjoin equity - announce unto them a grievous chastisement.
It is they whose works shall come to nought both in this world and in the life to come; and they shall have none to succour them.

Well we have many such cases in India, Pakistan too. This is what girls faced when they rejected any proposal, not all, but few did had acid thrown by these lust hungry men. But atleast in India, there were nation wide protests decade back, which regulated sale of acids. Also did set stringent action, gave acid attack survivors dignity and reservation in certain cases. But this is far from solving the problem of toxic masculinity few men have.
I am daughter of incredible man, and sister of amazingly compassionate brothers, but when I see women being treated so bad just for saying no, it boils my blood. Yes no excuses against such heinous behaviour.

Unfortunately these are some of the toughest crimes to prosecute. Acid is a perfect tool for a criminal because it leaves no evidence of the attacker behind. On the bright side her skin looks like it’s healing well, I’m assuming the flap on the left side is going to be used to graft onto her chin- this is how it’s done in some of the burn surgeries I’ve seen. Pretty impressive outlook on her part!
I also hope they find the person who did this to her. He should be in prison for his whole life (i think it was a man, as far i piucked it up from the story).

Absolutely, someone so boldly unhinged like this running around the streets is dangerous. Like, who does that? Why would someone do this to another person? This guy must be seriously mentally unstable. I seriously hope they're on high alert and doing everything in their power to find him, because if he thinks he can get away with something like this, what's stopping him from hurting other women? In my opinion, thats not enough. It needs a lifetime in prison. Not because of "punishment" but to protect society. I always imagine: someone for whom its that easy to jump over every moral wall, stays dangerous for lifetime. Its not possible in my opinion, to give him a therapy, and he "is a new man again".. No that moral wall was very high. To jump over such a wall it needs a LOT .. and i mean: really a LOT of psychopathy. Someone who is able to jump over that wall, stays a danger for lifetime - therefore: lifetime in prison.I hope he gets caught. Islam was the original Religion descended to earth from heaven with Adam and Eve (peace and blessing be upon them) in the beginning of humanity. and was passed to people with the succession of the 124 000 prophets and 315 messengers of God to all nations and civilizations since, passing by Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Ismaël, Joseph, Moses, Aaron, Joshua, David, Solomon and Jesus (Peace and blessing be upon them) during the history of mankind, the last replaces and completes the previous, until the succession of the last messenger of God fourteen centuries ago, Muhammad (Peace and blessing be upon him) to complete the noble morals of all mankind, to bring humans and jinns out of darkness into light, and to purify people's religion and belief from corruption and polytheism, and return it to purity and true monotheism, like it was in the times of the prophets (Peace and blessing be upon them).
Many Religions that we know nowadays, at their beginning were true and under Islam, initiated by one of the prophets of God, but their original teachings, history and scriptures have been corrupted over time with falsification and polytheism, or lost and replaced with false ones. That's why Islam is the only Religion accepted by God nowadays, which consists in bearing witness that there is no god besides Allah (God in Aramaic, the original language of Jesus and the Gospel), and that Muhammad is His servant and messenger, just like Jesus and Moses and others are His servants and messengers. Never a messenger of God said he was God or literally son of God, it was the people after him who changed the words of God and corrupted the Religion. God is unique and absolute, He does not need to have a family and sons or to associate anyone else with His kingdom, He can simply create whatever He wants, everything belongs to Him, and to Him everything will return. Allah said in Surah Al-Mu’minun : “God has never begotten a son, nor is there any god besides Him. Otherwise, each god would have taken away what it has created, and some of them would have gained supremacy over others. Glory be to God, far beyond what they describe. The Knower of the hidden and the manifest. He is exalted, far above what they associate. (91-92 / Translated by ITANI).
Allah means the one and only God, the God of all prophets and creatures, the creator of the universe and mankind, and the Master of the Day of judgment, where our destiny, Hell or Paradise, is decided based on our faith and deeds in this trial life, and above all, Allah's mercy.
Allah said in Surah Al-Ikhlas : In the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful.
Say, “He is God, the One. God, the Absolute. He begets not, nor was He begotten. And there is none comparable to Him.” (1-4 / Translated by ITANI).
Allah said in Surah An-Nisa : O FOLLOWERS of the Gospel! Do not overstep the bounds [of truth] in your religious beliefs, and do not say of God anything but the truth. The Christ Jesus, son of Mary, was but God's Apostle - [the fulfilment of] His promise which He had conveyed unto Mary - and a soul created by Him. Believe, then, in God and His apostles, and do not say, "[God is] a trinity". Desist [from this assertion] for your own good. God is but One God; utterly remote is He, in His glory, from having a son: unto Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth; and none is as worthy of trust as God. Never did the Christ feel too proud to be God's servant, nor do the angels who are near unto Him. And those who feel too proud to serve Him and glory in their arrogance [should know that on Judgment Day] He will gather them all unto Himself: (171-172 / Translated by Muhammad Asad).
Allah the Most Merciful said in Surah Ali-Imran : Behold, the only [true] religion in the sight of God is [man's] self-surrender unto Him; and those who were vouchsafed revelation aforetime took, out of mutual jealousy, to divergent views [on this point] only after knowledge [thereof] had come unto them. But as for him who denies the truth of God's messages - behold, God is swift in reckoning!
Thus, [O Prophet,] if they argue with thee, say, "I have surrendered my whole being unto God, and [so have] all who follow me!" - and ask those who have been vouchsafed revelation aforetime, as well as all unlettered people, "Have you [too] surrendered yourselves unto Him?" And if they surrender themselves unto Him, they are on the right path; but if they turn away - behold, thy duty is no more than to deliver the message: for God sees all that is in [the hearts of] His creatures.
Verily, as for those who deny the truth of God's messages, and slay the prophets against all right, and slay people who enjoin equity - announce unto them a grievous chastisement.
It is they whose works shall come to nought both in this world and in the life to come; and they shall have none to succour them.

I am 53 years old and feel like I've had a lifetime of trauma. But I've just learned so much about resilience and gratitude and self-love from this very wise, strong young woman. Thank you for sharing your story!

Same story I sit here drinking feeling sorry for myself for my life time of trauma, for someone that's never had any problems in life I doubt they'd last a year in my shoes yet I doubt I'd last a day in hers. Amazing lady!
