She is like a ray of sunshine. I always enjoy listening to her interviews. I wish the music industry paid her more attention as she has a great perspective that could inspire other artists that are still finding their way.
Fantastic interview - best interview I've seen with CRJ. Great job, Guy Raz. Carly Rae Jepsen's music is a true gift to the world in my humble estimation. I listen to her everyday, and her music fills me with positivity and joy. I'm so grateful for her many fantastic records and her fantastic songwriting. I really look forward to those "experiments" she mentions at the end. I love the way she is exploring on the latest two records. I think she has a very promising future as a song writer!
You realize she is an indie darling right? CMM was her big moment of mainstream success but her albums since then have gained her a cult following and critical acclaim. I would hardly call her a one hit wonder because her career is in a great place right now and anyone who knows about pop music holds her in very high regard.
@@Timur_aka_Tamerlane her career still blows my mind - she's at a very special and kind of amazing place of her career - she's set for life, has access to the industry's best songwriters yet can experiment and have fun with her writing. She's super relevant in many music scenes and still gets a ton of streams despite her being kind of an indie darling as you say. You have to be very, very talented and strong to make your career more than just your hit song.
She is definitely not a one hit wonder. Call Me Maybe just happened to be a big commercial hit. She is still active to this day and has fans who follow her work. She is so talented and confident with her style. I love how unbothered she is and just does her own thing. So glad I found this interview.
I adore her ❤ she doesnt pretend to be perfect and recognize she has learned a lot through the way. Carly never stops to making perfect music 😊
She speaks so eloquently... The loveliest interview :) I just wish they'd talked more about Emotion and Dedicated.

I could listen to Carly speak about anything for the rest of my life ❤️ this was a great interview, cannot get enough of her
Queen of 1 hour long interviews 👑🎷

My natural voice it is what it is. To hit the different octaves that's using the vocal cords as an instrument.
Very pretty girl.
she's so mother
Yeah, not long now I suspect.
i never knew she was a licensed barista or that she did musical theater wow
vocal fry...the better kind--deep, musky
Being a one hit wonder must be embarrassing as a artist lmao it's about to be 2024 and she still doing interviews on her only hit song from 2012 😂
That's like interviewing Jesus for being a carpenter. But this interview is about her whole (amazing) career.
This video is almost an hour long, asking about call me maybe is a small part of it lmao

Carly, you've had that blonde hair since 2016, please go back t being brunette (or a redhead) the blonde hair looks so cheap and dull, its not you.
