One of the greatest vocalists of all time, realist, comedian, talk show host, therapist, down to earth rad human! How can anyone not love Kelly Clarkson!
Kelly Clarkson is so down to earth and likeable, given that she is LITERALLY A SUPER STAR, she makes me just want to invite her to my house for Margarita Monday. She comes off as BF material. She is the definition of RAD. 😊
I feel like she was into the talk show most becaue of her babies and the stability it would give them, but I'm so happy she's doing it, and im so happy she's so happy that's all I want for Kelly!!!
Ms. Kelly Clarkson, I HAVE to say...... Lady, YOU are a RARE GEM IN LIFE!!! I love your philosophy of LIFE! I married at 16, my husband was 24, in the National Guard, and living 1stste down and clear across the other side of my state. ( raised in SW Washington, moved to EASTERN Oregon where he grew up but I knew NOTHING) and I HAD to work 2 jobs to buy my 1st house. And raise my daughter and 4 yrs later my son. Pretty much on my own. At 23, I was single, had 2 kids, went to college for criminal justice, and raised 2 kids, all the while living with MYASTHENIA GRAVIS.
This was a beautiful interview. She's always been my favorite singer in the world. Her voice, her persona and her courage to always keep fighting is inspiring. I saw her the last two nights of her Vegas Residency and it was the best I have ever seen her. I really hope she sings LIGHTHOUSE at the Grammys if she gets a nomination. She is beyond underrated and wish her new album would get more attention. Thanks for this.
Im in my 50s. I really think Kelly and Pink represent a perfect balance of the women that I wished I had to listen to growing up. To just be yourself....how valuable that is😢. Amazing women. Hard working and realer than real ❤. I really hope she gets the love she deserves one day from a man who would never hurt her or her kids❤. One day.
I’ve watched a lot of interviews with Kelly Clarkson and this is the most comfortable & vulnerable conversation I have heard. Thanks, Guy for guiding the conversation so organically & thoughtfully. 🙌❤️🙏
Listening to this podcast put my life in perspective. Kelly just summed up the great irony of the randomness of life's opportunities . I was TWO WORDS from changing the trajectory of my life. Two words caused me to choose to settle for less on life even at age 37, when I chose to say yes to a blind date of lunch at a mall with a man that eventually stole everything I worked my ass for, materialistically AND emotionally. Kelly, you filed for divorce on my 60th birthday, Just 6 months to the day of my filing for divorce from my husband...a husband who stole 312,000 opportunities for happiness for each dollar, that I now realize was just green paper. Now, I'm about to see a hematology oncologist and feel like those two words stole my random chance to ever feel like I was loved. What were those two words? My soulmate, walked away from me due to my fear of saying two words to my family when I was 27 years old. That was 35 years ago and those two words were, "I'm gay". I now have no other choice but to cash in my past for the best of what's left of my "last'. Very, deep, right? Lastly, I find irony in the fact I'm now legally blind yet I see life the most clearly now, at age 62. I realize Kelly will never read this but perhaps if by random chance she does, maybe it will inspire her during her song writing that she does best in her bathroom, which I find the best acoustics money can buy! Lol danielperry482@gmail.com.
Looove this beautiful human being! So relate to her as a fellow Taurus person. ❤ Down to Earth, real, authentic heart and soul. ❤ Grateful she is on the planet sharing, and just being herself 💝
Well Kells, I fully understand finding your "why" for getting up and doing things. I have been a radio professional for fifteen years, and that is my niche, my thing doing radio and marketing for the common folks. However, my methods of marketing attracts bigger enterprises as well. I, too, was an introvert and once I found what I was good at; I perfected it.
Wow, I can’t seriously believe that anyone can criticize her for being honest about her greedy scheming ex. Why the hell did he even think he was entitled to half of HER fortune? What child support? He abandoned two of his kids already.
I absolutely hate codependancy like that. Your dad abandoned you = neglect which is abuse and you say he did his best. Huh. Looks like he did his worse. It was not the 20s he could have gone to the library and educate himself or get help. He chose not to. Period.
Sounds like someone (s) in your life abandoned/abused you, wounding you very deeply & those wounds had so many repercussions that you still have to deal with/pay for, making your life harder than it should have to be. My ❤goes out to you. It sounds to me like, to you, KC is making excuses & letting him off the hook. I used to hear 'they did the best they could,' that way, too. Some people do say it in a way that invalidates & dismisses the damage, but I don't think that's the tone/what KC is saying here. She's freeing herself from the painful dynamic & rage-hurt-looping-over & over again by (probably) having gotten to a place (via therapy, or empathetic friends/family) of being able to consider looking into her father's history/his mental health issues/his up-bringing/societal era expectations, mores, etc and that by going thru that process, she took HERSELF off the hook. It made/makes it so she is no longer repeatedly re-wounded by it/memories aren't getting triggered/replayinginstead it helps the kids-in-her really GROk, [it really does=: he's not a God, he's just another human being for whom, eg going to the library to find helpful resources w/solutions, or to family tx, etc was never in his make-up,➡ it was clearly NOT a reflection of her intrinsic worth/love-ability/personality➡it's a practical fact: he didn't/may still not have the developmental growth/the brain wiring to be a good-enough father AND➡ grok-ing that brings one to the gut realization (vs limited intellectually understanding), 'Wow, it really isn't a reflection of me at all!" The grief doesn't go away, but it's cleaner b/c when awareness of the loss comes up again, it doesn't go back to the little-kids inside one being re-traumatized, equating it w/not being loveable/good-enough, etc.. So what we're hearing KC say isn't an example of co-dependency. Co-dependency is when we allow/aid the person in continuing their unhealthy behaviors toward us/loved-ones in order to meet a variety of our own needs (eg to feel needed, to avoid taking some scary steps). KC's not saying he wasn't wrong; or that she doesn't mourn the loss of the father she had & lost. She's saying, I can see where it came from/I can see how incapable he is, and I've taken back my/psyche/life energy that was tied-up in that crater-wound. Looking at that has helped it lose its charge, I put the load down/I don't carry it around w/me anymore. She broke the spell partly by considering his limitations.🥳
She always says she has sensitive skin and is hyper allergic to make up--so I think when she's not wearing make up her skin has that red tinge. I've seen that on her in other interviews where she's not wearing make up etc. Her skin is just inflamed.
Kelly's upbringing must explain why she's given herself permission to have spent the past 3 yrs (and counting) trashing her children's father publicly so her children know how much their mommy and everyone else despises their father because she can't stfu about her private business. There's not a child psychologist on the planet who wouldn't chalk her up as emotionally abusing her children through parental alienation. Kelly, you can afford professional therapy...stop using your platform to air all your private business at the expense of your children. It's selfish and harmful just because you have issues!
WOW!!!! THATS PRETTY HARSH!!!! 😠PERSONAL EXPERIENCE HAS TAUGHT ME YOU NEVER JUDGE HOW ANY ONE RESPONDS TO TRAMA!!! 😢THIS WOMAN IS A GREAT MOM!!! ❤WHO ARE YOU??? 🤔GOD??? I THINK NOT!!!😖 YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHATS GOING ON IN SOMEONES LIFE !!! I THINK SHE IS AWESOME!!! AND I DOUBT VERY SERIOUSLY IF THE KIDS WERE FOR THE F-U SONG!!! 🙄
@@rubymccaslin6841 I'll say what I like about someone who puts her private life out there on a silver platter. You're entitle to your opinion and so am I. She's not anymore special than anyone else because of what she does for a living.

Loved this interview
Kelley's EQ is through the roof! You add that to her immense vocal talent, a star is born.
Great interview, Guy!
Those have been my favorite shows where you sang with pink Garth baby face
I would love to meet her

I saw her at her aged 8 when I had a phone book listing. She rebusted.
You seem so thrilled to be talking to Kelly Clarkson, not lol. Great interview but you seemed almost sad at points.

The advice from the "most unlikeable person on earth" must be from producer Dr. Luke.
