Adele hit the nail on the head about sincerity, and the artists that are most affected are the up and coming ones; the ones who don’t have the power to dictate how their music is made. The transactional culture forced on artists (and the audience in a wider sense) by the music industry is a cancer stifling the creativity and sincerity of music makers and we are all worse off for it.
She's just an angel among us. Im thinking about it everytime i listen to her music. Look at videos from her concerts, the way she's crying, laughing, she's so emotional... and her music touches our souls
That's why her music has substance and feeling, it isn't just sugar coated premixed pop, I feel like all the pop artists need to take a bit of her advice!
The funny thing is, a lot of the subtitles are wrong! Nothing that will drastically change the meaning, but it's obvious that a Brit didn't do the subtitles here!

This video makes me want to lay on my bed and play all of her albums starting from 19. I love that she makes me feel something with her lyrics and her music
i think she might be talking about the working/emotional aspect of it. it takes a lot of mental energy to be constantly reflecting on the hardest parts of your life, creating something entirely from scratch and having such high standards for yourself as well as from the world.
hun, she's speaking of the song writing process which for her has often been about her heartbreaks, betrayal, regrets, - all the difficult times in her life. Millions of musicians write about their experiences in an unintentionally or intentional cathartic way which would be emotionally exhausting/draining - that's what she can't do all the time.
