    Some days it calms you, some days it terrifies you, most days it makes you smile A LOT.
    I often find in my manual you become so focused on how the car works with you, you forget about cup holders, the Bose speakers, outer dial visibility, depreciation. Makes you feel like a driving god! I could see it in your eyes too LOL.

    Great review again 👍 I’m booked in to test drive one in a couple of weeks, looking forward to it even more after seeing that. You should be able to walk into any dealer in the country and ask for the keys to anything you want to review with the good causes you’re doing!

    This is the car i need in my life, on reflection of what you were saying about depreciation, if you take out a PCP deal, and never pay off the finance, then we might as well rent a car like volvo are starting to do.

    Great video. Enjoyed it. I have a question for you. How much of a difference does the sports exhaust make on a 992 from inside the cabin?

    • @CarMadDad
      @CarMadDad  9 месяцев назад +1

      Hi Tobi
      Hard to say as I have not driven a 911 without this. I would say inside the cabin is noticeable difference - however radio on / music going you wouldn’t notice too much

    • @tobi_dg
      @tobi_dg 9 месяцев назад +1

      Interesting. I have a 718 GTS4.0. Pressing the sports exhaust button transforms the car. If I ever replace it with a 992 I was thinking about how important sports exhaust would be. It doesn’t sound like it makes the same amount of difference. I have only test driven the 992 without this option and it was fine. But it’s nowhere near the 718 4.0 experience when it’s on boil.

    • @CarMadDad
      @CarMadDad  9 месяцев назад

      I would say the sports exhaust is an absolute must chap. Improves it enough to warrant cost and will defo help with resale

    Fellow 992 s owner here.. How did you find the ride quality compared to your S? Did you jump out of it straight back in to your own? It really does look firm from your video. I am wondering if it is worth taking the step up but as I use it as a daily not sure if keeping the S would be a better option.

    • @CarMadDad
      @CarMadDad  9 месяцев назад +1

      Hi there
      Yes jumped straight back into my S
      In truth - I didn’t find the ride much different - depending on usage and what your after would dictate your decision here but if you have any doubts I would recommend testing yourself.
      For me - no major differences - the road I drove was HORRIFIC and the car soaked up a good proportion.
      If rode comfortably is a high priority - maybe I would avoid it.

    Agreed. As an all-rounder, the GTS4 is tough to top. The level of sheer speed, cornering and confidence...well, as a kid from the '70's, I wouldn't have thought this even possible.👍

      Honestly, even in just the last 10 years, the technology that is being put into “average” sports cars with all-wheel-drive systems turbos that don’t lag and the feeling of being firmly planted on the road is leaps and bounds beyond what Cars felt like even just 10 and 15 years ago.

    Have the last of the 991.2 GTS and that is quick can only imagine the difference. Tho now looking at 992 turbo s just for the unmatched rapidity need that in my mid life adventure.

    They are definitely the sweet spot. I’ve had 991.2 C4 GTS, Turbo S and now GT3 but the GTS somehow combines and compromises the other two

    Thanks for making me want a GTS next! 🤦🏻‍♂️ I have the 991.2 C4S and the AWD is just so confidence inspiring, it’s cheating according to purists, but I really like it.

    I have a fair amount of time behind the wheel of an almost identically specced GTS, and it’s just too firm for me. I also hate the way the glass roof ruins the silhouette of the car.
