Because the T gave me so much fun, not only in driving it but also in terms of Porsche community, that I thought it would be worth the investment to step up to a GT3T. I am very happy with the Touring and would not want to go back to a T, but if I needed to for whatever reason I would still be very happy with the T. @a004 - congratulations on the T! I’m thinking of pulling the trigger myself. How’s the road noise in your opinion, esp with the reduced sound deadening in the car?
@@radans99 you do notice the increased road noise. It's not a big deal for me, especially when it allows you to hear the engine more. But could it be an issue on a long road trip? Maybe. I have still yet to test that out. But overall it's not a deal breaker or major issue for me. What is a major issue for me is the back up camera, it absolutely sucks. @@Resist_Oppression journalists cater for everyone. This might be someone's first video on the new gt3. And to your analogy, saying "it's hot here in the summer" may sound stupid to you, but not to someone who is new to your area.
@@Resist_OppressionYeah I agree but he did say also that it is too stiff for a car that's supposed to be a "Touring" model. It defeats the purpose of the name as he was expecting GTS ride quality.
The T is an excellent car. Most of us won't use 50% of the capabilities for a GT3 or GTS. But I prefer the standard spec of the GTS, and that's what I've requested an allocation for. Oslo Blue
I've had all 3 mentioned in this video, and currently own a T. It's just such a sweetheart. Eager, powerful, and most of all, fun. It really isn't lacking anything. I said it to to a friend, the highest compliment I can give is that I don't have any complaints. Edit: was lucky enough to get a new 2024 GT3. It's epic.
Bizarre how this isn’t being discussed/addressed. The GTS is considered the “sweet spot” 911 for a reason. Essentially it’s the best of both worlds, and the upgrades and standard options in a GTS are a relative bargain compared to the “T,” some of which you can’t just upgrade with a $2K tune. Analytically, emotionally, performance-wise, and value-wise, the GTS is unquestionably the best possible 911 daily driver. I own a 991.2 and aside from the ‘it would be nice to hear that 4.0 NA’ or the 3.6 NA Powerkit of the 991.1 gen GTS, it’s pretty tough to argue that the 17’-19’ 911 GTS isn’t the most perfect “all-around” 911 to-date.
I don't mind watching every single vids of GT3, GT3 touring, GT3 RS or any other GT products; however, Carrera T is the one that I’m hoping to spend hours and hours driving it on the mountain pass 😊😊 Loving the Carrera T, the purity of 911 🎉🎉
The 2024 992T is my third 911 since 1965, and it's the most fun to drive. Simple and 125HP can be easily obtained via a Stage 1 tune if you must have more HP..
in real daily driving condition when factoring road condition , comfort , drivability , practicality , i sincerely beleive its Carrera T is capable car that deserve more recognition in 911 family just as the stig in Top Gear. i won't be surprised to find out in few years that total production is even less than GT3 992 . great video that highlight the underdog
Thank you for an honest review. I ended up getting a T and cancelling a GTS order. I just wanted a passionate driving experience. If I was still doing track days regularly I would buy a GT3, but not touring (despite loving the way it looks without the tail). LOVE my T.
I changed my 991.2 targa gts pdk to a carrera T with manual transmission, and it's much fun to drive even in daily traffic. Less is more in this case. 😉
@@ss-mw9dj Well, fair question although I don't think it's really a matter of "better" but rather, what flavor suits your use case and desires. For me I have had G50 Carreras for decades and love the visceral experience yet is a very drivable car on the street - it's just fun. I wanted that in a modern Porsche and honestly the T is that and more. The thinner glass, reduced noise insulation, and lighter weight delivers that. Despite it having the "small engine" it's still faster than anyone can truly use on the street. (I live at the base of HWY1 in California). The T also has PASM with fully adjustable suspension and sits 10mm lower than the GTS. To my knowledge, sprung the same as the GTS. And yes... it's cheaper - to buy, to maintain (think brakes, etc), to register, etc. Again... ultimately it's a personal choice 👍
@@ss-mw9dj Wow... why so unfriendly? I literally said it was a personal choice. I also said, "to my knowledge" when referring to the suspension. I did do a lot of homework over the last 30 years of owning Porsches and through the process of spec'ing, ordering, and acquiring my 2023 Carrera T. And BTW... The T suspension has a lot more in common with the GTS (minus the helper springs) than the S. See 3:20 in the Smoking Tire review ruclips.net/video/MxOty4uzGZQ/видео.html. Bye.
@@ss-mw9dj Like I said, it's personal choice. Porsche makes more variants of the Carrera than any other car model so customers can find their own flavor. The T is a hidden goodie. So is the GTS. Just enjoy it and stop worrying about what others may choose.
I wonder if the fact that the T is lighter and also has smaller brakes and more normal seats also contributed to it feeling a bit more compliant. Smaller brakes means less unsprung rotational mass which means better ride quality.
I’ve had a 2018 991 Carrera T manual with rear wheel steering for the past 5 months and it’s blown me away. For all the same reasons Dan cites for the 992. You just don’t need more on the road and because it’s 380bhp (whatever you do DON’T chip one - you’ll spoil it) you use all the revs and all the gears. SUCH a fun car. Nice video Dan & Andrew - keep ‘em coming! 👍🏼
I'm curious about your "DON'T chip one." We have an APR chip on our Audi TTS and are very pleased with the performance. My first car was a 1957 Speedster - things have evolved a bit since then.... -Steve
Nice balanced review, and more proof that all 911s have their appeals. That said, I’m not trading in my 992 manual GT3 MR for anything else. Not my daily by any stretch, but it’s phenomenal in the right half of the tach. Truly stellar.
Fantastic comparison of three incredible Porsche models! Each has its own unique charm and capabilities. The GT3 Touring with its naturally aspirated prowess, the Carrera GTS balancing performance with daily usability, and the Carrera T offering a more raw and visceral experience. Kudos to the team for such a detailed breakdown. It's amazing to see how each car shines in its own right. Porsche truly knows how to cater to every enthusiast's desires. 🏁🚗
Just ordered a GTS. I have a GT3 (One with the big wing) and the carbon race seats are a killer on a long journey and the roll-cage makes the back of the car unusable. But it is a race car you can drive to the track not a car you can use every day unlike GTS.
The T is the best everyday car, and great fun, the GT3 and GTS has more power of course, but you don’t often get the chance to use it unless you are going on track days.
Great review. I have a 992S and much prefer it to the GT3 and GTS as the ride quality is better. For track use those are better, but IMHO as a daily a T or an S are better options.
Fascinating ! If I could (in my dreams), I’d choose the three. The Carrera T because it’s the purest and probably the closest to the spirit of its ancestors ; the GTS which I drive regularly (in 4WD configuration), appreciate and enjoy very much ; the GT3 Touring for its elegant yet powerful looks and of course the fabulous 4.0 aspirated flat-6, while aware that the car is not a practical daily driver on poor roads. But now that the 911 S/T has been unveiled, I think that despite the inconveniences (and the price), this one would be my ultimate choice (in my dreams 😄).
The T is for 911 drivers who understand that spending tens of thousands of dollars more for the more expensive 911 versions doesn't give you much more of a difference in performance in the REAL world.
I recently purchased a T and I was worried about it not having enough power. I wish it would’ve had just a tad bit more but other than that I’m happy with it.
I test drove at 992.1 GT3 manual...it was a sublime car but it just seemed so slow (a guy who owns a 2018 GT2 RS Weissach with mags and the Porsche Ti roll bar).
I’m lucky enough to have had 9 911’s to date including a 991 T a couple of 4S in 997 and 991 specs, three GTS’s Including a 992 GTS Targa I’ve recently sold. I’ve also had a bogo 992 too so done the rounds. At moment I’m just about to buy in 992 guise either a 22 plate GT3 Touring, a new 992 T or a a five month old 4S with full sports pack and aero. This is best review I’ve seen but boy has it thrown me!!! Damn you guys.
Amazing video! It's so refreshing to watch a very well made car review in the old-school style again that I'm missing more and more as RUclips videos keep changing and moving away from the traditional format. I kind of agree with this verdict, I think the Carrera T offers the "affordable thrills" (affordable by supercar standards) that the old, bare-bones RWD Carreras used to provide, which the GT3 Touring does not because it's got so expensive and hard to acquire for one thing, and it appears too aggressive for road use. However, I don't like that it's widebody now since Porsche just canned the narrow body 911s. I really think the T would've been even better if they had kept it a narrow body.
4.0 NA Manual … I would choose it 100 times out of 100 opportunities. I had the 992 C2S (7 speed manual) prior to the GT3 Touring(6 speed manual) It’s a Sports Car - If you want comfort and compliance- drive a Range Rover or an Escalade. If it’s about price… I recommend something other than a Porsche 911. Just my $0.02
I had a 992S 7speed, and got an allocation for a 992 GTS, 2 weeks before it arrived, I bought a slightly used 991.2 GT3 instead and am so happy with my choice. The 992S is amazing like all 911,s... but the howl of the GT3 is something special !!
Really good review and I’m not surprised with the verdict. I came from a Jaguar F Type R to a 991.2 Carrera and never felt like I was missing out on pace, power or fun (only noise!). Even then the basic 911 is a real peach. If I’m just a tiny bit critical of this review, there’s zero feedback about how the cars brake and how tractable they are out of corners. Nor how with that, they can carry momentum and difference between keeping the NA on the boil with its higher powerband versus the different challenge you face with the less responsive 3.0 TT. All in all, a really enjoyable review though.
I had a 991 Carrera S, which I loved, but it was almost too compliant. I was looking for something more raw as I already have a Lexus for my daily driver. I'd be perfectly fine with a rough-riding GT3T. In fact, the 991.2 GT3T is my semi-realistic dream car.
Great video guys. What tires were on the GT3 you tested? A friends GT3 was delivered with Cup2's, and due the car being used mostly in cold wet Scotland, he changed them to PS4s. The ride and busyness became much better. I'm sure their could be an interesting article for you guys in a tire ride comparison test!
I think the big issues with the GT3 ride are tied to the use of track-oriented tires. PS4s are perfect tires for road driving, though when it's cold (10C or less) in Scotland, you may need to also think about winter tires.
From what I’ve read the GT3 Touring has an identical suspension set up to the regular GT3 so any difference in comfort is purely down to the choice of tyres.

Hi folks, as I was curious about the weights mentioned in the video, I just looked it up on the Porsche web site. Here comes the result, all cars 2WD, manual, DIN: 992 GT3 Touring: 1.418 kg 992 T: 1.470 kg 992 GTS w. Lightweight p.: 1.485 kg As expected, not the T but the GT3 is the lightest, and the diff GTS to T just 15 kg. Someone feeling that 15kg while driving must be very sensible. I honestly believe, the guys are feeling the higher spring rates of GT3 and GTS way more than the weight. Either way, 3 cool cars.
It is a bit of a marketing gimmick. Porsche said the T is the lightest Carrera, which isn't wrong because GT3 is NOT a Carrera. There are three series within the 992: Carrera, Turbo and GT3. They are just trying to be creative to sell more cars. 😀 And I don't know how the S/T fits. Technically and mechanically it is closer to a GT product than the run of the mill Carrera. The S/T is the lightest 992 for sure.
The T is definitely the sweet spot: (10mm) PASM, LSD with Torque Vectoring, Sport Exhaust and Sport Chrono package, ALL standard, nice! "Porsche. Kicking ass with tiny little flat sixes for over 60 years!" Beeindruckend!! Cheers
Great video, it's long been time people realised you don't need 500bhp on the road, let alone 1000bhp like people seem to be aiming for with every modified car on the internet. 350-400 is ideal. The T is the car I'd go for, with all the lightweight options if I was spending my own money. Partly led by budget, partly led by the fact that it's just my kind of car.
@@gtclubuk Per Car and Driver, the 2024 M3 Competition xDrive is 3990lbs. That is pretty close to 2 tons. And dang I can't believe it weighs that much, that is ridiculous. My 2015 VW SUV only weighs 3400lbs
143, 122 and 103k are academic. I’ve a T on order and it’s a bit of a struggle to keep a spec I want below 120k. Waahwaah… first World problem, but just making the point that there’s no such thing as a list price Porsche. Nice to see Frankel, interesting views on the 3 cars and whilst I’d absolutely love a Touring, I suspect that as a car, I’ll enjoy the T more often than I would an appreciating asset. I’m not that into a GTS tbh. Too much of everything for me.
Well said. Yes, the GT3 is a halo car as far as being a bullet-proof track weapon, and the Touring edition is great for those who don't want to advertise, but then it's not really a good touring car anyway.. I suppose the rarity is also what appeals to wealthy consumers, just as the new S/T is the stealth GT3 RS.. But as an actual car that most of us would enjoy driving? I might go for the GTS if I were looking for a turbo model, but I also like the Carrera S which has more than enough power and has the luxury/daily driver thing nailed. I just got a 718 Spyder, which, so far (it's not yet broken in) is just about perfect IMO. I wouldn't want a stiffer-riding car for just enjoying on the road, I found the GT3 too harsh on anything but great road surfaces. Those are nuances that aren't talked about much on youtube videos, where massive hp and ridiculous 1/4 mile times/drag races dominate.
Good review, and very fair. The GTS on paper has less HP than the GT3, but real world the GTS on a dyno has more. Obviously delivery is different, mid v top. But for me the NA engine will always win. Mate an I just did the compare of these three, plus the S (8wks ago). I have the GT3, he ended up choosing the GTS at list and now allocated. That is the benefit of the 911 range, there is ONE to suit EVERYONE! I think Porsche does this so well!
wonderful video! ive had a 992 carrera for 2 years and it is a peach! great road car, exactly how you decribe the T, never felt a need for more power as a road car...
Great to see you again Dan, missed you. For me watching youtube car rewiews I always feel that its not about the car but about the guy behind the wheels.
Of course the 385HP in the 911 T is enough.. I mean almost 400HP, only a few decades ago that was the power of a 911 Turbo.. You do not need more on the public road (unless you live in Germany and driveon the autobahn a lot) and you can revv it out more with less risk of losing your license.. It's more fun that way.. Less is certainly more in this case..
I own a 992 GT3 with comfort seats and Pirelli Tyres. The ride is not uncomfortable or fatiguing. Compared to other cars I have owned it is not bad. This obsession with Michelin tyres and bucket seats must be detrimental to ride and comfort.
Was a very good clear video comparing all the cars. They are all RWD. I would go for the 992 or upcoming 992.1 911 Turbo S £180.6K UK MSRP. Or one of the Panemara Turbo S (Coupé or Gran Turismo) with the Lamborghini Urus/ Bentley Bentayga; Audi RSQ8 VAG 4L V8 bi-turbo engine. Or the two body styles: Coupé or Gran Turismo with the Panemara Turbo S E-hybrid at 700 PS the most powerful model Porsche make. It’s the Bentley Flying Spur for less money: Top Turbo S e-hybrid £149K.
Great video guys. I’ve owned a gt3 touring and GTS in 992 guise and a touring in 991.2 guise. GTS was too fidgety on bumpy b roads. I actually think the 18 way seats make a big difference in the touring…. I would urge you to try one with the 18 ways on ps4s tyres. Big difference I would say…. That said I think the T is a great bit of kit. Really great video. Thank you.
Great to hear. Planning a GT3 touring in the coming months (From my GTS) and actually leaning towards the 991.2 (Minimal price difference between the 991 and 992 in CH) because it's just much prettier. Also planning on the 18 ways because it will be a daily and I actually want to be able to access the rear.
@@hpman911 I'm not in the UK (Switzerland). I've been offered a slot, but it's CHF215k before options! (£195k!) On the used market the 991 is CHF180k-200k and the 992 is CHF220k-250k. I'm at 991 money, but could stretch (at a stretch!) to 992, but having seen the 992 on the road, my heart belongs to the 991. I may even keep my GTS, in addition, as my daily 'beater', as it's such a reliable workhorse and still loads of fun!
Today is my birthday, I like Porsches and this is one of the best things I could see released on this day 😂❤️ P.D. Sometimes less really is more, and that's why I love Porsche "T" models so much, after the GT Cars, the "T"s are my favorite 🥰
I have a 991.2 manual gt3. The ride and suspension is outstanding even on rough roads. Haven’t driven the 992 gt3 for comparison- but from what I have heard including a performance driver instructor who has owned both the 991.2 is more street compliant- he also said his lap times (and this guy is good) are about the same in both cars - seems to me the 991.2 gt3 is the best of both worlds..?
Great content guys, wow. I agree when I reviewed the new touring it was stiff for public roads, and was not a huge fan of the clutch engagement. Love to review the manual T, but I would order (if they let me? a GTS in PDK with an aero kit. New sub keep making amazing content like this! 👊
Good review but when you talk about price you have to talk about depreciation. The best yet touring is the 991.2 GT3 touring not the 992 as the 991.2 GT3 touring is much more supple (in fact spring rates are about 50% less). My own reality check and what I have done since the 997 series is go for the RS for hardcore sports car and GTS for daily. In fact, probably the best all rounder is the 718 (982) 4L NA Cayman GTS - its really great at everything and still has a high revving NA engine. Never really warmed to the T and they tend to get flicked on fairly quickly (I have driven both 991 and 992 variants and would say good but not memorable).
My 991.2 T has RAS. Turned out to be one of the highlights of the car. Adds to the light and nimble feeling of the car, particularly at low speeds. Having lived with RAS, I would hesitate to buy a 911 without it.
All you owners… do you have the 991.2 or the 992? Because the 991.2 really needed RAS, as opposed to the 992 which has a much more improved handling than the 991.2. So I‘m really more curious to hear about the 992 T owners‘ experience / spec choice
Having said that hardly anyone can actually get an allocation in the UK for a GT3 let alone a Touring unless you’re prepared pay a massive premium in the used car market.

For an everyday sports car I would vote for an standard Carrera S with manual gearbox and PSAM. Very similar in performance to a GTS (and much better value) and feels almost as engaging and playful as the T. The amazing GT3 Touring plays in a complete different league in every aspect. The naturally aspirated high revving engine roars a hallelujah to the motor gods and its suspension is craving for race tracks or at least near perfect roads. But where to rev it out and test its capabilities on public roads?
You can. There is a manual option for the S but I am afraid they only made it available in some countries for whatever reasons. Btw I now orderd a T. I think It will be fast (and expensive) enough.
The T is so appealing because it does not put you in a position to lose your driving licence. You can push it within a reasonable speed range and it does so because the chassis is so overengineered for a car with that level of power. Its balace is amazing.

Oslo Blue
This is such a great , succinct comparison between these 3 levels of the 911. Great video!!
It's epic.
Ive been waiting for a car test like this for ages! All these other youtubers and car review channels boring us with irrelevant content! Well done!
For the money, I feel the GTS has the most bang for the buck with all the extras it comes with including much more power/torque vs the T.
@@veritasaequitas36 The suspension of the GTS is tuned far too hard as a daily.
I don't mind watching every single vids of GT3, GT3 touring, GT3 RS or any other GT products; however, Carrera T is the one that I’m hoping to spend hours and hours driving it on the mountain pass 😊😊
Loving the Carrera T, the purity of 911 🎉🎉
Yup, if you are an old fckd man you’ll love the T
The 2024 992T is my third 911 since 1965, and it's the most fun to drive. Simple and 125HP can be easily obtained via a Stage 1 tune if you must have more HP..
😂GTS ist der beste 911 er
in real daily driving condition when factoring road condition , comfort , drivability , practicality , i sincerely beleive its Carrera T is capable car that deserve more recognition in 911 family just as the stig in Top Gear. i won't be surprised to find out in few years that total production is even less than GT3 992 . great video that highlight the underdog
+1 ... Viewed this excellent 992 review 5 times. .. One of the best, or thee best 992 review. . Cheers, Vail, Colorado
@@ss-mw9dj 😂😂😂👍🏼. I’ll be sure to pass along the message at our next club meeting.
I wonder if the fact that the T is lighter and also has smaller brakes and more normal seats also contributed to it feeling a bit more compliant. Smaller brakes means less unsprung rotational mass which means better ride quality.
Happy to see another vid from Dan. And you always do just the right comparos. This was an awesome video.
Same here - I love mine.
My dad loves his!
That's nice that you got the rear wheel steering
I'm curious about your "DON'T chip one." We have an APR chip on our Audi TTS and are very pleased with the performance. My first car was a 1957 Speedster - things have evolved a bit since then.... -Steve
Same here I love mine, carrera T
I’m so glad these guys are finally getting the views they deserve. You should keep posing more regularly so that you can keep the algorithm happy!
Nice balanced review, and more proof that all 911s have their appeals. That said, I’m not trading in my 992 manual GT3 MR for anything else. Not my daily by any stretch, but it’s phenomenal in the right half of the tach. Truly stellar.
Have a Carrera T on order and delivery date of December 23. Was initially unsure, feeling a little more confident, great report.
Getting my T in this week just hit the US port I got rear steering too. Gentian Blue manual .
Brilliant. Hope to see more of these videos!
T raw and visceral ?? compared to what the GT3 ... keep smoking
“Harry” tested the GT3 and was very concerned about the stiff set up and tramlining.
Have owned 2 carrera T, 991 and 992. Best value in the lineup but nothing can kill the longing for a GT3T
Which carrera T did you prefer overall the 991 or 992?
991 by a mile
Thank you for recapturing the spirit of British motoring journalism. 🏎️
Nice to have you back
And with a car worth the effort
. Epic as ever thanks for taking the time to produce this master piece. 😎
Wow, Dan. Been looking for you all over YT. I always enjoy your reviews, mate. Glad I found this channel
The T is for 911 drivers who understand that spending tens of thousands of dollars more for the more expensive 911 versions doesn't give you much more of a difference in performance in the REAL world.
Great work. Really enjoyed this review. Very tempted to pick up a T as a daily driver.
I recently purchased a T and I was worried about it not having enough power. I wish it would’ve had just a tad bit more but other than that I’m happy with it.
Go and speak to Iain Litchfield - that'll sort the power out.
Brilliant video. And so so so so awesome to see TI doing this on RUclips ❤️
Great to see this video. Love the podcast and written stuff, but its great to get some video again!
I test drove at 992.1 GT3 manual...it was a sublime car but it just seemed so slow (a guy who owns a 2018 GT2 RS Weissach with mags and the Porsche Ti roll bar).
A friend of mine has the T and just wishes it had some sound to it. I’m so glad my 996tt does it for me😊
I’m lucky enough to have had 9 911’s to date including a 991 T a couple of 4S in 997 and 991 specs, three GTS’s Including a 992 GTS Targa I’ve recently sold.
Great to see you back Dan! Awesome review.
I have a T and it’s brilliant, I’ve also upped the power to 500bhp so it can more match what the others can offer in outright performance 😎
Would like to hear your comments on the GTS without the lightweight package... specifically how it sounds with more insulation, thicker glass, etc.
@matt1081 +1.. Well said, agreed.. Cheers, Vail elev. 8,200ft
@@glennhavinoviski8128 +1.. Agreed.. Winter spec tires and/or tires commensurate with ambient temperatures is critical.. Ask me how I know..
Cheers, Vail, Colorado elev. 8,200ft .. Re: '98 Carrera C2S (993)
Hi folks, as I was curious about the weights mentioned in the video, I just looked it up on the Porsche web site. Here comes the result, all cars 2WD, manual, DIN:
992 GT3 Touring: 1.418 kg
992 T: 1.470 kg
992 GTS w. Lightweight p.: 1.485 kg
As expected, not the T but the GT3 is the lightest, and the diff GTS to T just 15 kg.
@@RubyStarNeo +1.. I hear that, sales Man.. Sales.. Cheers,
The T is definitely the sweet spot: (10mm) PASM, LSD with Torque Vectoring, Sport Exhaust and Sport Chrono package, ALL standard, nice!
"Porsche. Kicking ass with tiny little flat sixes for over 60 years!" Beeindruckend!! Cheers
T doesn’t come with torque vectoring plus. GTS does.

awesome... the best 911s in this generation, together in one test. awesome!
Always the base engine in manual with all the GTS bits. In other words, the T. True for the Cayman too.
Depends on the weight 300-400hp is not ideal by now an m3 is well over 2 tons
@@pipolebnene 1705kg for the current M3, not quite "well over" 2 tonnes now is it
@@gtclubuk Per Car and Driver, the 2024 M3 Competition xDrive is 3990lbs.
Thank you Dan, an amazing video on my favourite car series
Good review, and very fair.
The GTS on paper has less HP than the GT3, but real world the GTS on a dyno has more. Obviously delivery is different, mid v top. But for me the NA engine will always win.
Mate an I just did the compare of these three, plus the S (8wks ago). I have the GT3, he ended up choosing the GTS at list and now allocated. That is the benefit of the 911 range, there is ONE to suit EVERYONE! I think Porsche does this so well!
Yes has more power on dyno and gaps it by 3 or 4 car lengths in the 1/4 mile. GT3 definitely does not "pull harder"
wonderful video! ive had a 992 carrera for 2 years and it is a peach! great road car, exactly how you decribe the T, never felt a need for more power as a road car...
Yep…..had my Carrera for 14 months…..simply maaavelous…!!!
Brilliant comparison, excellent quality! Shout out for the podcast as well with Andrew F! Keep the vids coming Dan 👊
Please can we have more video content from you two. It’s great
I own a 992 GT3 with comfort seats and Pirelli Tyres. The ride is not uncomfortable or fatiguing. Compared to other cars I have owned it is not bad. This obsession with Michelin tyres and bucket seats must be detrimental to ride and comfort.
if want comfort get a Panamera
I picked my 992 T up a week ago, excellent car and I came from the 991.2 T - it's such a great car/package I had to buy it again.
911 T everyday and don't need worry about the allocation from dealers- trying to sell you Porsches you don't want, or need.
Love the yellow as well.
Superb guys really enjoyed that honest test and conclusions made. 👍
It’s the Bentley Flying Spur for less money:
Top Turbo S e-hybrid £149K.
Good review although you said the Carrera T pulled through the midrange because of the turbos? 7:50
Gentian blue, tan interior, oh yes
Couldn’t agree more. Tan heritage? Now we’re talking
@@nickgalla-barth6336in the UK you will really struggle to get an allocation let alone an actual build slot.
It would have been very interesting to throw in a Porsche 911 Carrera S (w/ a manual) in the mix
Today is my birthday, I like Porsches and this is one of the best things I could see released on this day 😂❤️
P.D. Sometimes less really is more, and that's why I love Porsche "T" models so much, after the GT Cars, the "T"s are my favorite 🥰
Not having driven one, I wonder about the tire noise level in the T? 911's are loud enough without lightweight glass.
Love my 992 S manual!
Glad I just bought a Python Green aero kit T for my 26th Porsche. This car checks all the boxes for the street.
My personal favorite is the C4S - awd, comfort, daily driver ease, supercar performance with just a tune.
Great review. Quick question for owners and non-owners of the T… would you opt for rear axle steering on the 992 T?
I have a 992 Carrera T and should not opt for rear axle steering.
I have RAS on my 991.2 T and love it. So nimble.
My 991.2 T has RAS. Turned out to be one of the highlights of the car. Adds to the light and nimble feeling of the car, particularly at low speeds. Having lived with RAS, I would hesitate to buy a 911 without it.
Owner. Opt, 100%.
All you owners… do you have the 991.2 or the 992? Because the 991.2 really needed RAS, as opposed to the 992 which has a much more improved handling than the 991.2. So I‘m really more curious to hear about the 992 T owners‘ experience / spec choice
Have a 991.2 T and absolutely love it for exactly the reasons you both bring up. Was going to go the GT3T route and glad I didn’t .
Having said that hardly anyone can actually get an allocation in the UK for a GT3 let alone a Touring unless you’re prepared pay a massive premium in the used car market.
“glad I didn’t” ……. lol
Honest@@brianhimmelman420! Having the GT3T in metroWest Boston would only serve to drive me crazy bc I'd never get it near it's potential. Maybe 9k in....1st. Maybe. Had a Ducati 999 and felt the same way. -- Instead, for the same price as a GT3T, I got the T , which I can push, and a Raptor. 100% feel like that combo is better (for me) than a GT3T.
Fantastic video!
I strongly agree with the verdict, as I would also order T, if I only could… need to work a little harder to save up;)
That Carrera T still has slightly more power than an original RS4 B5. And that was rapid! I know as I owned one at the time they came out.
Porsches are known to punch above their weight also so it will feel a lot more than 380
@@SenszRyes didn’t Nick Murray dyno test a base Carrera and it actually produced around 425PS? It would appear Porsches marketing men decided 385PS was a low enough figure to quote to encourage most buyers to spend more and upgrade to S or GTS models…

GREAT review. I'm picking up my Gentian Blue (like the GT3T shown here!) Carrera T at PEC in Atlanta in September. Psyched.
Rented a 911 C2 cab from Porsche Stuttgart and drive through alps. Very enjoyable. I still like my 2023 corvette for loads of grunt.
I don't have the driving skills of a sports car driver/car tester,I won't be going for any track day not drive along winding roads like you guys but I do love 911s so I'll take the GTS pdk rwd with rear seats.thank you
Brilliant video. Excellent, refreshing content. Thank you!
I think
It will be fast (and expensive) enough.
Ģreat film. Well shot. Very well edited. And 3 Porsches, well, whats not to like on a Welsh road??
The lower 911 wins again, this has been concluded a few times over 15 years. Less power makes it easier to appreciate the rest of the car’s virtues…
This guy is pretty good! Reminds me of Jensen Button🏎🤣 Porsche FTW! All flavors! ✌️🇩🇪
Brilliant video, I’m a firm believer in less is more. Slower cars can be driven as spiritedly at safer speeds. That said, I yearn for GT3. #manlogic
The T is so appealing because it does not put you in a position to lose your driving licence. You can push it within a reasonable speed range and it does so because the chassis is so overengineered for a car with that level of power. Its balace is amazing.

As the owner of a ‘24 992.1 GTS w/ a seven speed manual and rear steering it’s an incredible car and driving experience. Last Friday I drove the 911 T at a Porsche event and I wasn’t impressed with it at all.
@TheIntercooler Honest truth: Was having a lovely run over that road on that very morning. I’m well-used to dodging sheep but as I rounded a bend, I found a real-life Frankel meandering across the asphalt. 😂
I set my 4GTS to lower comfort tire pressures and it made a significant difference in daily driving.
From what to what? Has that made a difference with tyre wear?
Great review guys.
