Worked great, fixed my hyper flash after i did the drl mod and installed switchbacks. My blinkers are a bit slower than stock, maybe its the difference in relays? Both switchback turn signals function properly. When I turn on flashers, the switchback bulbs go white for a split second then flash amber and repeat. Not terrible as it only does this with the emergency flashers on.
I wish vehicles still had the flasher units, instead it controlled by the BCM. I didn't have to pop the knee bolster off, I just reached quite far back and changed it by feel.

Very possible! The stock flasher relays freak out when leds are installed and they also do some wild things when the flashers are going bad as well. My left blinker would do anything about 90% of the time and once I added leds they hyper flashed like crazy but after I installed the new Novita relay everything works perfectly!

I've just replaced just all the bulbs in the rear and third rear tail light with led lights and got the hyperflashing going on and it's super annoying but I also put in hid(8000k)front lights and I like your front switch backs I think you called them but I also really like the led running lights that they got out now along with the led strips for the running lights it would look nice but putting a ton of money in a truck that's this old.... idk about that idea I mean I got a aydio system but all that like the speakers and amplifiers all can be pulled back out pretty quickly and I really want to replace the 160 amp alt to a 400 amp with possible lithium battery cells or headway cells its a type of lithium that can be charged at 14.8 volts and possible delete the front battery or getting a xs lithium and just save my alternator and battery for when I want to get another vehicle it all can be pulled out my truck is 170k but is in the rust belt but thanks for the video it's very helpful n wondering if it would help me also?
I feel you about putting the money into an old truck lol mines at 310,xxx miles and I’ve put over a couple grand into it already and planning on doing a lot more lol it really just depends on you I’m the type that doesn’t like to throw something away and if I can make something old new again I like to do that stuff. But as far as the hyper flashing the relay I got should fix that problem. Also living in the rust belt with these trucks involves a lot of maintenance thankfully I’m in Tennessee so not too much exposure to salt and stuff like that. But 170k miles your trucks still young as long as the rust isn’t too bad I’d say it’s worth building!
What if your dash turn signal arrows stay on, but you have no turn signals at all. If I turn the lights completely off I can turn on the hazards but they flash really fast.

I see in the video that both bulbs the perimeter light and the directional blink together. I will need to check mine as I did not realize that. the inside bulbs on my 04 2500HD are white and the directionals are amber. I am confused now...

I installed some lasfit turn signals that switch from white to amber when flashing one of them works fine but the other one flashes white than amber than back to white than amber but it’s not constant amber when flashing, do you know what would be the cause?
Try swapping them and see if the other bulb starts doing it. If the same bulb is still doing it in the other side it’s probably an issue with the bulb.

I did full LED bulbs on my 07 classic Sierra. The back and front bulbs are all in one's with built in resistors. When my daytime running lights are on they blink fine. But when my lights are on at night they hyper flash. I thought it was because of the 194 led side marker bulbs I also replaced. When I put a regular bulb in on one side the blinker just lit up and didn't blink. Any ideas on this?
Mine was doing a whole bunch of weird stuff as far as the blinkers go. I was thinking I was going an a hunt for some kind of electrical problem but as soon as I changed out that relay everything was back to normal!
@@ZPTVChannel This is not necessary for 99-2002 Silverados or Sierras, as long as you have leds all the way around for equal load resistance. Didn't need it on my 2000 rado or 2002 Sierra, but 2003 Sierra had me stumped.

No. I believe the 2009s are controlled by the bcm. If you’re having issues with hyper flash you’ll have to get leds with built in resistors or add them in-line. The leds with built in resistors are easier to install and better in my opinion.
anyone know if this also corrects the lights not flashing with the headlights on? mine hyper flash with the headlights off and when I turn them on they flash once and stay on.

Do you have leds in the tail lights too? I’ve heard of some people still hyper flashing if they have front and rear led blinkers. It’s really tough to say I’ve had my eyes on a few forums on Facebook and some people say they have all leds all the way around and no hyperflash with the relay, and then some saying it’s still hyperflashing with just switchbacks.

After putting led turn signals my rear brake lights do not light up unless I’m using a turn signal. Do you have any suggestions??
Most likely a blown fuse. But it could be a bad brake light switch or a faulty flasher relay. I’d start at the fuse though.
Also make sure the leds aren’t in backwards most leds are polarity sensitive try pulling them out, flipping them 180 degrees and putting them back in.

The inside lights from factory are drl lights and aren’t supposed to blink but I did the drl to blinker mod on mine.

It's a z55 autoride 4x4 it has towing package would I need the relay specifically for my model

Did you have a cruise control issue? Did it resolve it as well?
I’ve never had a cruise control issues but at the same time the only rear light that’s led is the 3rd brake light.

That was an adventure and a half. Monday, got the wrong size relay.
Today, returned it and got the appropriate one. Everything is working fine.

I haven’t personally tested that myself yet but according to the manufacturer of the relay yes it should work!

They turn off from factory unless you do the all lights on mod
It fixed mine but now when the headlights are turned on they don't work at all
That’s most likely going to be another issue… almost like a wire is crossed somewhere.

I honestly don’t know… the 03-07(classic) trucks are a different body style than the 2007(non classic) and up so I think the wiring may be different…
The flash rate is controlled by the BCM. There isn't a flasher unit.
You would have to use resistors.

I ended up swapping out that cluster for the one I have now which is my factory cluster where I added the trans temp gauge and a new gauge face!
