I think it would've been nice to get the Hybrid Max system in the Signia, I still like the look of the car. It's not a sports car, very practical and got a lot of standard things included.
Agree, the odd Crown sedans a miss. I never quite saw it as the "flagship" replacement for the Avalon that 'everyone' said it was. My prediction, this will outsell it by a good margin and should be the Crown standard bearer, with some adjustments for better/more expansive equipment, trim options - missing HUD (avail. on Venza), rear sunscreens, regular opening roof (even if at expense of rear fixed glass), reclining rear seats, more interior choices such as a light gray interior ("ash" in trad. Toyota-speak), CVT refinement, powertrain choice, spare tire if just a skinny donut, another color option or two, etc, can even see an off (back) road "lite" variant like everyone's doing - half inch more ground clearance and some modestly adventuring tires, etc.. Kirk may rightly say doing all or most of the above might threaten Lexus...if so, so be it - get Lexus to up its NX and RX game, both in need of major refreshes if not thorough overhaul. It's particularly glaring when what the company is doing is clearly holding back on features to not threaten another division, rather than just give its best product all around.
They removed so much from Venza, auto rain sensor, electric steering control, electric frost pano roof and Signia is less ground clearance, less fuel efficiency, heavier and slower than Venza 0-60. Toyota added safety sensor like one in Lexus face recognition sensor which most of people turn off and not using due to unnecessary annoying beep when computer see that you are not paying attention on the driving… is that why you increase 12k??? New look, real leather seat? Seriously?
Wagons are only cool in theory and for the select few that appreciate them. Sadly I don’t think any manufacturer that produced a wagon recently (with the exception of Subaru) has ever made a profit on them.
@michaelsutherland8623 sadly that's true because American consumers prefer to pay an extra $10k for a car they already cannot afford without gaining any utility

Note it is a fixed glass, it does not open. And that alone would steer me to the XLE.
@@jgriffin411 I understand that, I’m talking about sliding the panoramic visor closed so you don’t let the light in. I want to see the headroom with the visor closed.
4:47 If I'm primarily interested in Traffic Jam Assist, even without the steering feature, is it worth paying an extra $2k for the Advanced Technology Package if the Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control can handle complete stops, starts, speed maintenance, and distance control?
No way the crown sport is way better looking!
The parking sensors should be standard on all trims.
Crown sport coming??
Nice car. But, I'm not "gushing" over the $50+k price for a station wagon.
Station wagons should be cheaper?
@@sammydavis991 A family hauler should be affordable. With $0 down, 5 year loan at 5% interest rate with 7% sales tax, that's $943@month payment. Seems pretty pricey to me.
@@sammydavis991 At $50k the payment is $943@mo, with zero down, 5 years, 5% interest & 7% sales tax. That's a mortgage payment for most.
And an SUV is supposed to be more expensive?
I laughed when he said "gushing". It's gushing out more emissions , gas, oil, maintenance costs, and money from your pocket since NA isn't getting the PHEV or an EV version.
I wish Toyota would make the panoramic roof optional in the high end trim packages. I live in a sunny hot climate and would never buy a vehicle with a panoramic roof, listen up Toyota!
This needs the 5th gen system and the hybrid max option.
That thing, the Signia, is a BOAT, a bloated BOAT! Too big! Why don't they bring in the Crown GT? Not this huge yacht!
This is a boat? A 2005 Park Avenue is 205 inches.
Why do you think standard leather is big deal? I’m working outside, my car is baking on sun. Doesn’t matter how nice your ac works, my fried back even half hour later still fill that sticky leather
Parking sensors must be expensive for manufacturers to include. Tesla got rid of them completely to save costs.
Yet the Prius LE ba see e model has them optional
Strange it doesn’t have privacy glass for the price point
It's Epa classified as a car so not rear tint.
@@th003g cars aren't allowed to have rear tint?
@@toronado455 passenger cars are not factory tinted. Crossovers and trucks are. A wagon is in the passenger car category.
@@th003g Wow I never knew that or even noticed before! Interesting that the Subaru Outback is factory tinted even though it's just a lifted wagon. I find it very interesting that the EPA classifies the Signia as a car.
@toronado455 ground clearance being the main differentiator for the outback.
Glad that we bought our 2024 Venza Limited…advanced tech package- standard, Tinted windows- standard, heads-up display-standard, fog lights-standard, panoramic moon roof with electronic frosted glass-standard and more headroom and ground clearance. This low rider wagon is stripped of some features and too expensive.
Finish Line Red OR Bronze Age?
I miss 39 inches of headroom.
Will a 6’6” driver have enough headroom, both entry and in driver seat, in the xle without panoramic sunroof?
@@RogerHuseland acid adjustments go pretty far down so I would say probably
what's so great about HUD?
Had it in a Volvo and it was a nightmare... mostly because of the blinding glare into the windshield.
Anyone else ever have to deal with HUD glare?
nope, have it in my prime, love it, ignore it most of the time and just turn down the brightness in the winter, up in the summer
Have had it in multiple vehicles, no issues.
That red is just begging for some chrome to set it off.
He said “delicious vehicles” 🤣.
are this Car really deserve the name Crown?
Did get any inside news on the crown sport? 😂😂
I'm gonna use my life saving of $25 for this. Hopefully it enough.
😂yolo, my friend. Yolo.
Cool
I would prefer the new Camry XLE.
"Finish Line" red. There's a shoe store wanting their name back.
It’s going to be 100K to buy a Toyota soon.
Sequoias are already over $100k in Canada.
I want crow sport
Kirk... settle brother. Never seen a guy get so excited about a toyota wagon.
It's a forbidden fruit in America. Wish this was lower with the phev or hybrid max
I see that to get the advanced technology package for 1865.00 the traffic jam assist requires a subscription after the trial. So Toyota wants me to pay monthly for a feature I have already bought? I don’t think so. If I buy it. I want to own it all. If I have to subscribe that needs to be on an opt out, with a subsequent reduction in the cost of this package. It’s like the length of the warranty. Warranty of a new car should be the same as the length of the loan, regardless of the years; If a brand or dealer says a product is worthy of a given price over time, then so should the warranty.
Bring the Toyota crown sport lol
