bring back the wagonss. also after your bullitt video i started to pay more attention to your views compared to other channels and it genuinely bothers me. easily one of the best review channels out there and your vids are the ones i go to first when embargo’s like this drop. wish my one view would magically get your channel back to where it used to and deserves to be
Matt, Having seen just about all of them, I believe this is one of the best Signia reviews on RUclips. 🙌🙌After reading untold numbers of comments complaining about the price, I have just watched you astutely rhyme off a hat full of genuine Signia competitors which are just as or even more expensive. I also like the attention you brought to the back seat. My only substantial concerns about this very welcome addition to the under-served wagon market are the missteps Toyota made in the second row. Instead of pioneering superfluous extension flaps and endlessly boasting about six and a half feet of storage behind the front seats. Toyota ought to have provided a traditional 40/20/40 second row that slides and reclines. A premium-priced, all wheel drive wagon ought to come equipped for the ski slopes but somehow Toyota has forgotten the ski pass through.🤨 Sadly, the missing 40/20/40 rear seat has been repeated with the new 4Runner and Land Cruiser.
I am new to your channel. I like your videos, but when a commercial comes on, I realize that I am out of breath just from listening to you talk so fast. It doesn’t seem like you take a breath at all during your long segments between edits. You give so much more information on vehicles than other channels, probably because you can fit it all in with that fast talking. Great videos!
Thanks Matt for another Amazing Review! Looks like the Crown Signia is the future of the CUV world, Hybrid Power and MPG in a Mid-Size package. These should be Mainstream and not a niche market at only 20K units a year that they are expecting, watch other companies jump on board with this style and packaging.
I have driven the ‘25 Crown Signia Limited for about a month now. It comes with a “digital key”. I love how quiet the inside cabin is. Back seat is comfortable. The full time AWD is a plus, normal and sport mode feels like you’re driving a V6. My only complaint is the manual steering column. In eco mode MPG is generous at 40MPG for City and if you drive it in Normal Mode 38MPG Hwy.
This is a good looking wagon, id choose it over the Kia or Hyundai competitor as it will likely retain its value better. Decent price point also, for what it is. Nice review Matt!
Matt, can you give us an update on what vehicle are you planning on buying next now that the Bullit is gone? Could be a nice video comparing what cars you are thinking on buying.
Matt - How does the Signia drive/ride compared to a 25 Camry XLE? I like the wagon approach/practicality, just don't know if it's worth an extra 10K over an XLE Camry, and slightly less fuel economy over the Camry. Retiring soon, and want a good long distance road trip vehicle.
Yes, station wagons are back! I like that it is less boxy, much lower (though I did like being up high for visibility) and this really should have car like dynamics since it is a car in wagon form). It's time to stop pretending that we're "active" people, we are not, we go shopping and haul the offspring to their games and practices. The Venza that this is replacing went up $5K in the last 3 years without any upgrades and this is another $5K or more than the Venza so Toyota can maintain their position as the most profitable car maker in the world and it's less efficient on top of that. All that said, STATION WAGONS are back baby, finally getting what we actually need rather than the pretentious "tough off roaders" that we NEVER actually used. The few that do will buy the 4 runner.
Great to hear about the 600-mile range, keyless access on the rear doors, etc... features like that are what can seal the deal for me. the Mazda and Korean competitors are more likely to have discounts, right?... which would put the Mazda closer in price... but the Toyota should hold its value the most and be the easiest to sell down the road? I like Hyundai's adventurous design, but the price of that is a car that can look dated over time, and they're not as refined as Toyota and Mazda... The Mazda CX-70 looks best overall and is RWD-based, but it is significantly larger than the Crown, given that it's a CX-90 with a 3rd row delete... and Mazda still doesn't have keyless access to the rear doors!
I was going to trade my 2021 RAV4 XLE limited for a 2024 RAV4 Hybrid Limited. Then I drove a Lexus RX, but 60+ for a loaded version was just too rich for me. Drove the Signia and it’s a great compromise. I bought a Signia Limited, Bronze Age like this one. I am really happy with it. I miss one little cubbyhole on the left side of the wheel and a sunglasses holder above. Pretty small misses in my opinion.
I REALLY like this. Wish it had the Hybrid Max but I would totally buy this over a Mazda CX-70 just for the efficiency and reliability. I say this as someone who loves Mazda’s.
Looks nice (since it's a newer design) but 6.7" ground clearance is a deal breaker for me. I would choose the Lexus NX350h over Signia if I'm shopping within a similar price range compact luxury SUV.
if this had a HYBRID MAX! prob SOLD ON IT! especially since this is 3k cheaper by MSRP... compared to a fully loaded platinum CROWN Sedan in the USA.... wish the CROWN SIGNIA had a more power or a more powerful powertrain option available. 7.8 0-60 unfortunately is slow......
@@ggthx well SEDANS dont sell.... that's why... their first MISTAKE! lol the RX is selling fine at the moment... no one wants a CROWN SEDAN unfortunately but it is a compelling sedan to be honest! just wish it was a lift back and not a closed trunk... still a great SEDAN overall imo.
@@ggthx Yes that as well... if the CROWN is PEAK TOYOTA! why does the CAMRY getting the more futuristic rendition of their hybrid system but no the CROWN SIGNIA.... also why a hood prop still and no hood struts............... TOYOTA....
I do enjoy these videos but as car guy to have to wait 11 mins to here about the drivetrain is a lil long be nice to start with power plant when you are going over the cars basics. In the driving part more deep drive about powertrain and how it feels hate skipping around a video to hear the power on some of these new cars.
What wear and tear? You put your phone in and it doesn’t move. To me, as someone who has the 2924 Venza, the Crown isn’t that big a deal. Only real difference is the charging plate. That type should be in all Toyota models. The Crown seems to be a slightly fancier Venza
It is not going to be a big seller because it is a raised wagon and not a SUV like the RAV4, Venza or Highlander. It reminds me of the old Venza which was basically a station wagon.
@@Escanor990 The 2025 Camry XLE doesn’t even get that with its new powertrain. How would you expect a premium lifted wagon/suv that’s longer than a Highlander to achieve that?
@@MiahV007 You got a point. But they're not far from that target. Maybe in a couple of years. Maybe newer hybrid battery technology might help to achieve that MPG.

It looks like a big station wagon. No thanks. Although its a good looking car, I would prefer an SUV. This looks very much like a Carol Brady fetch the kids at soccer practice vehicle. I don't like such a large vehicle. Too hard to park. I feel no need for such a huge car. It won't fit in my garage. My Venza just makes the fit into my garage. This school-bus will not cut it. Why would they call it the "Smegma"?

The Venza wasn’t a bad looking vehicle, but the near-wagon nature of these proportions makes me more interested in a Signia.
The most recent one was kinda strange since it just wanted to be a RAV4 (imo)

A sharp, efficient alternative to our Outback 3.6R! (if we ever wear it out). Thanks Matt!
Surprised there is no hybrid max for the crown signia, but still a very appealing car and a great review! 😀
Hybrid Max has a high power rear motor, so it will handle way better then the regular 2.5L Hybrid :(
Such a great looking vehicle!

Toyota says it's 0-60 in around 7 seconds. That's quicker than the RAV4 hybrid which isn't painfully slow like some reviewers say.
If you could get your hands on a Signia or NX450h+, which would you choose?

Neither of them 😂

Beautiful design+reliable. What not to like Toyota really get it right
ANY ISSUES if this hybrid is PARKED FOR 2 OR 3 MONTHS in a HOT GARAGE near 100° while away on vacation?
I believe the Santa Fe is quite a bit larger than the Crown Signia. The clisest direct competitor would probably be the Mazda CX50 hybrid.

Finally a wagon from Toyota again
The front gives me a hint of the Supra A70 MK3.
The front top remind me of the late 80s Toyota Subaru❤❤❤😂

Is HUD even available?
No
best statement. Street based suv
Bring more wagons!

tail light design reminds me of Corolla Cross
Toyota did the venza/harrier so dirty with this 😂
I'm staying with my 2023 Venza. Just don't see anything that I don't already have except the moon roof.
If it's like the current American crown it has limited driver position. Sadly since it drives really nice.im 5'11 215lbs
Missing alot of creture comforts:HUD, panoramic sunroof that opens, , folding mirrors, 360 camera etc

21 inch wheels are stupid. Anything over 18 is stupid with car that is not real sports car

It's like a Lexus they can put on the Toyota lot to lure people to slightly more refined vehicles.
