    Happy almost Friday everyone and thank you so much for the best wishes on our hosts new nuptials last Saturday! Kinda crazy to think we filmed this review about 2 months ago, but the embargo has finally ended and the new Crown Signia once again feels like a Lexus for less and we are digging the styling a lot more than the Venza it replaces. RIP Venza, hopefully the Signia is here to stay!

    Let's be honest about cargo space. The space that the Rav4 and others have over this is measured vertically, and most people don't stack things in SUVs to the ceiling except for occasions when purchasing televisions or moving huge boxes, in which case a few cubic feet aren't making a tremendous difference, and some of that can be made by rearranging and squeezing it in better. The horizontal space of this, however, and the ability to lay many items on the floor beside each other, to me, make this better than taller vehicles with less floor space. You can actually sleep in this! Wagons are great for this, and length matters.

    • @garygarski
      @garygarski 2 месяца назад +2

      Cubic feet of cargo space tells me NOTHING.
      I really agree with you about this subject.
      Rear view mirror that is actually a camera seems to make sense to me.
      If this Crown can store as much or more than my Subaru outback, I will purchase one.

      Yeah way too expensive. Costs the same as an RX. No reason to buy this when you can buy an RX instead. Toyota already learned this lesson with the old Land Cruiser. You're missing the point, the Crown is priced higher because of the refinement, not everyone cares about cargo space nor do they need the leg/headroom if they're not tall. My family has a 2022+ Venza, Highlander, and Lexus RX. I've test driven the RAV4. The Venza is a more pleasant driving experience (quieter, smoother, more soft touch materials) than the RAV4 or the Highlander, it's closer to the RX. Since the Crown Signia is replacing the Venza, it will have the similar Lexus-like driving experience.

    Major problem with mostly all new Toyota 2024 and 2024 for example, the 2006 Toyota Prius had plenty of headroom and a person 6 foot one could fit in it comfortably the 2024 and 2025. Toyota Prius is completely different someone of that same height cannot fit in the vehicle. The crown also is missing a lot of headroom. A person of 6 foot height cannot fit comfortably in the Toyota crown with less headroom.

    Yo, the panoramic roof on this Crown Signia can't open to let air out, which is a major bummer. Also, the rear wiper should be hidden away to give it a cleaner look. Overall, this car, with its powertrain, seems to be aimed at a specific older demographic in the market. And let me tell you, it's not my cup of tea!

    • @B0rnToSlay
      @B0rnToSlay 3 месяца назад +1

      I don't really see the problem with targeting the older crowd with the Crown and Crown Signia (and previously the Venza). They younger crowd still has the RAV4, Highlander, Camry, 4Runner.

    I have a 2009 Venza, and one of the main reasons we love it is that we don't have to strain to get in or out. The second generation Venza was a disappointment. Not only was the entry too high, the top of the door opening was too LOW, forcing me to contort to get in. I am only 5' 8" but I have a long torso, and I have The same problem getting into my former boss's Tesla S. If you are a mature American with back issues or cardio issues, you don't want to put a strain on your body getting in and out of your car. That is why Subaru Foresters and Outbacks are popular. Getting in and out easily is a TRUE LUXURY. Why do so many car makers ignore it? Frankly, I think a class action could be made against auto companies under the Americans with Disabilities Act.

    I am only 5’5” tall and I raise the front seat so I can see adequately. Unfortunately every car that I have driven has a seat that moves forward while raising it. With a 27” inseam I end up driving with the seat as far back as possible. I wish that the seat would go back further but unfortunately vehicle makers don’t see it that way. I really, really like this vehicle and will definitely consider it the next time I am in the market.

    Imagine paying way more than a crown and still not getting the hybrid max, nor shocks for the hood.
    Cars are saving costs everywhere and still going up in price.
    At this price, just buy ANY lexus product. Considering the Signia is 44k to 55k and the RX is 47k to 60k, you can get an RX easily for the same money as this.
    Hopefully people realize this and buy lexus, and make toyota discount this by 10k like the do the crown "sedan".

      RX hybrid. Also you have to upgrade many features. The current ES requires you to get many packages to get the same features the Crown sedan limited has. The ES wins in the HUD, power wheel, and 10 way seats.

      You will not fin an RX Hybrid below 50k...in fact my local dealer has 28 of them on the lot and the lowest is 58k...ranging up to 68k. If you want the 500h, you are talking 68k to 75k.

    Had a venza but the X took it with her. I drive 22 accord 2.0t. Miss the venza and will consider this car for a future replacement. Not crazy about the front grill. Hope they refresh that soon.
    RANGE the most convoluted mis guided explanation. You will never get over 500 miles. All cars will run out of range on your display with about 2.5 gallons left. This is to protect the hybrid system and the fuel pump.
    So take your 37 mpg × (14.5 gallons-2.5 gallons)=444 miles
    Again 37×12=444
    At the most. Why all reviewers miss state this is grating. But still enjoyed the review.
