heard chaise longue on the radio , loved it. got home looked up the song , found the band, and didn't expect to find another good song. Blown away, all of them are ffnn fantastic, haven't loved music so much for a long time, and yes 47 year old slightly balding man...
I'm 51 and I completely agree. They are on a continuum with so much great music from the Modern Lovers to the Cars to the Strokes. The album is an instant classic and it gives me so much energy and life.
I’m a nonholonomic spacecraft attitude dynamics constraint equation that was set equal to zero in order to solve for the name of a band to whom I would enjoy vibing . The answer resolved to Wet Leg.
It was a little tough to have a ton of respect for these guys when they first hit the scene. They seemed to be presented as a novelty….especially with Chaise Longue. About a year later, they have progressively gotten better and better. The singing, instruments, and “punch” has grown exponentially. Not sure what direction these guys will decide to go, but they can be really really good. I’d hate to see them lose their fun side. Novelty isn’t always a bad thing.
I'd say the horror film Midsommar. And on behalf of all Mansons, I want to point out that Manson is part of the Northern Scottish Clan Gunn, whose own ancient origins are said to be Norse.
This is good indie/pop, but it's not great. It's too perfectly indie. Straightforward beat, clever lyrics. There's nothing raw or exciting or challenging going on. If the girls write all the music maybe they need to co-write with the boys, to add some conflict.
You realise Kendrick was one of the headliners this year right? Plenty of other black artists had some great sets too, and plenty of acts from all over the world. Glasto is probably one of the most multicultural festivals in the world
No one said they're revolutionary. But they're extremely fun to listen and watch. The songs are catchy and easy on the ear with smart lyrics. They don't take themselves too seriously too which is always a plus in today's music. And this talk of industry plants is meaningless in today's music scene. There are hundreds of other acts who had even bigger support and coverage than this band but they still sucked.
@@sharifothman92 they just don't do it for me and I can't get my head around the fact they are getting so much coverage not great live don't write very good songs
Wow this was supremely disappointing. I love this song and played this with a band recently. Listened to the whole album and finally came here to listen to the live version and it's... Wow thats bad singing.
1st song I heard when I discovered Wet Leg and automatically fell in love with the band.
Same 😊
Same here! 🤘🏽
how could ya not?!
Fell in love with a band from just one song. Have you heard the rest of their songs? They're actually quite terrible.
Same 🤘
There was a special atmosphere in the air that day! Definitely the band of the moment 👌

It’s amazing how a great bass groove and suttle background vocals can really make a song shine.
My new favourite band 😀

I found this band from radio too!!! Amazing stuff
@@NiRvAnA6890mysoginist spotted 🫵 sorry it looks like this 🤏
WET LEG are phenomenal!!! i feel blessed to be alive at the same time as you! thank you for your awesome tunes
Love their vibe. They are like a combination of Liz phair, the go go's, and luscious Jackson -- but completely unique too.
The song also feels it has some asian singing vibe
Luscious Jackson! I may be old because it made me smile to read your reference to such a great and seemingly forgotten band from the 90s.
I only know two of their songs, this is my favourite
I love this band!!
THANK YOU FOR UPLOADING THIS BBC, THANK YOU FOR BEING BORN, WET LEG, LOVE YOU GUYS SO MUCH ❤💯
Thanks for everything Wet Leg!
Here we go, here we go, here we goooooooo

They doing all this, without in ear monitors, it’s crazy !

The thing is, I actually DO have Buffalo 66 on DVD.
😂 same. great film
Noventa Telecaster. Nice 👌.

BBC music, why don’t you ever upload whole sets? I missed Wet Leg and I’m so sad you can’t find the whole set anywhere, not on iPlayer either
The whole set is on iPlayer!
@@finjewell3341 I looked for ages and I don’t think it is.
If it is then it’s not very clear at all
@@jeffthepug6179 search BBC iPlayer Glastonbury and then look in the Guitars section

I FUCKING LOVE THEM!
they will be one of the biggest bands this decade. confident saying that.

vox sound better live than on the record, except for backing vox which i wish were louder
I dunno if it's a nerves thing, but every live performance I've seen of theirs, she has her mic down so low in the mix.
This sounds like 2009

Not the song you want to be singing out loud in a non gig space lol
Touching yourself touching yourself.

I love them but these outfits are giving me Manson family vibes lol
