In a bit of a turnabout from 2008's "Mirror of Souls", "As the World Bleeds" sees the band beginning the proceedings with the longest song of the album, the epic opener "I AM". This song perfectly encapsulates everything this band is about: it's brimming with catchy melodies, contains both quiet moments and driving metal, is passionate and anthemic, and takes the listener on a journey while listening. Minute 5:45 kind of resembles Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" a bit with the quick sung vocals.

Thanks for this reaction! This is one of the most meaningful songs in my entire collection. "I am the one who bled in silence and endured it all / I am the Word who spoke no word, with a thousand angels waiting for my call ..... I am the joy of angels dancing in the streets of heaven / I am the sinner's prayer for mercy and a past forgiven ... All hope that was / All hope that is / All hope to be / I AM" ...................... Theocracy's "Easter" is another incredible epic. Great band, with many fantastic songs. Also, check out the band's founder's side project featuring various all-star vocals with three wonderful tracks (for charity!) under the name Project Aegis.
I think this is the Christian metal band that my brother loves. I'm not into metal but it's great that even people in the metal world can try and reach out to others.
You said we all need a friend like who he is describing that is the most true thing I have heard on RUclips. Good thing is he wants to call all of us friend.

There is a stereotype that says, "All Christian bands suck." This statement is false. There are SO MANY great bands that people misjudge and pass over just because they are labeled as "Christian". If anyone ever says to you that all Christian rock /metal bands suck, play them this song. I've seen Theocracy live and they are freaking amazing.
Outside of the CCM world most Christian music generally has better artists than their secular counter parts.

Matt smith is a killer singer he has done some tracks with Neil Morse for a charity his range is crazy and he is this good live or at least when I saw them in atlanta he was the whole band were on point the Neal Morse stuff was project aegis and the Val Allen wood is the guitarist In theocracy
He's also John the Baptist in Neal Morse's rock opera, Jesus Christ the Exorcist

I find it ironic, sad and beautiful that they recognized the musical genius and power and nuance of Theocracy... and yet they did not even comprehend the lyrics even slightly. The true beauty of the song was to show how God and Jesus and the Holy Spirit are absolutely actually everything, every time they say I AM.

Jesus Christ believed in nothing but truth. Washing feet of sinners, before the dinner of his party right and passion, were words and worship to his passion and his journey to the cross, and when he finally went, he was the earths boss.

Kansas meets Metallica! For me their best song off of their best album. Although, Nailed is ALMOST as good from the same disk.
They were a Christian prog metal band. I dont think they are together now, too bad, their music rocks! The song describes Jesus and some of the ways he loves us individually.
They are still together and have a new album coming out in 2023. They're playing IMMORTAL FEST in Ohio in July.
