Hi Rob! I'm new here I've been watching for 2 months now I enjoy what you do alot. I feel like you would very much like to talk about the lyrics to the song 'beneath the surface' by as blood runs black. Not only is the song great but the lyrics are very power to me personally. Thank you for the entertainment!
It really makes his sacrifice so much more impactful when you realize all he needed was one word, and the course of history would forever be changed. But instead Jesus went willingly. Over 12 legions of angels would answer that call it is said, which is around 72000 angels if we take the roman legions as reference. Just one angel is said to have killed over 185000 people overnight, that's cold.
Yes! Finally haha. So many good Theocracy songs, but Laying the Demon to Rest or Mirror of Souls are also essentials. Theocracy's "I AM" is a work of art. Purely and simply, the song glorifies God, Jesus, and The Spirit. By the end of the song you are ready to cry from the euphoria of praise that comes out of this song. Matt Smith of Theocracy is clearly in love with the Lord.
@@jeandavidnau8314 That's right, it is for me a place where I always reconnect with God by taking into account his attributes. I truly believe that someone speaks this way about Jesus only when he knows him both theologically and in person.
My favorite line is "I am the Word who spoke no word, with a thousand angels waiting for my call." He, the Word of Life, was SILENT, even to the point of DEATH, when he could so easily have saved himself from death on the cross.
This song makes me want to run through a wall for Jesus. I just recently found out about about this band and became an instant fan. Great reaction guys!
I heard they're making a new album this year I'm hyped one of my favorite progressive metal bands in my favorite power metal band and my favorite Christian metal band aside from tourniquet
Matt Smith (Theocracy's lead singer not the 11th Doctor) is a master mixer. This dude knows how to chart and harmonize like nobody's business. You HAVE to listen to more of their stuff.
The first time I heard this song I was too overwhelmed by it to take it in. The second time I heard this song I was overwhelmed with emotion as it hit so truthfully. God is Good!
The words are a lot. Every phrase brings strong emotion. And there are a lot. But the entire work brings a sense of peace. I Am has walked the path before us and given us the tools to walk in his footsteps. I Am has taken all of the burdens that we don't have to carry. The length of the song is a bit off-putting and there are a few questionable time changes, but solid overall.

As a believer in Christ, I don't know how anyone can get through this whole song (especially Verse 4) without tears coming to their eyes. This song is so powerful and more biblically sound than most sermons. THEOCRACY is one of the greatest and most creative White metal bands. "I Am" is a song that seriously should be arranged for choirs (or choir and a very good soloist) to perform during Mass. I think that would make Matt proud.
I love Theocracy, and the introduction to the band has left quite an impact on me: the song "Mirror of Souls". If I had to classify my belief I would call it agnostic atheism. But I have a great interest in religion as a student of history, and have many friends with different religious backgrounds, though the majority of which are Christian. One of those friends introduced me to Theocracy through the song Mirror of Souls, and I have definitely felt a stronger understanding of my Christians friend's beliefs because of that song. Obviously it is amazing musically, but to me truly portrays a persons journey into Christianity. Hence the length of the song. Fun fact! The core motif this song is built around is actually a direct reference to an instrumental break in their song, "New Jerusalem", from their debut album. I call it the "Heaven Motif" within the context of Theocracy's music haha. It's definitely the proggiest part about this band, given prog's roots in classical theory. But yeah, so glad you guys got around to this song! I've been listening to heavier stuff mostly in the most recent years but these guys were a HUGE part of formulating my music tastes. @blazebarnett91 Absolutely, and while they may not be technically a Christian band anymore, their roots definitely help further accentuate the greatness of the music. I've heard all of their albums since Esoteric Symbolism but I haven't heard their earlier albums yet.
You should try Nailed. I was definitely surprised that any Christian metal band would write songs about Martin Luther. Perhaps Altar to the Unknown God (Acts 17 reference) is also another beautiful song, especially lyrically. They're all by Theocracy.
As to the Metallica references...Theocracy's singer has a short video here on youtube where he is playing several Metallica riffs on the guitar. So yes, Metallica is an influence of Theocracy 🙂
Great video. I love this song, especially when I’m feeling depressed or alone and broken. When I feel lost or the pain of loss is overwhelming me. This band is great. Laying the demon to rest is a must listen. That song can be applied to so many things but scripturally sounds like it’s adultery. I could be wrong, but it still sounds that way.

Great reaction and commentary to a great song. If I could recommend another Theocracy song though, my pick is Martyr. I don't think you will be disappointed. Take care and God bless.
Speaking of I Am, you should react to the song of the same name by P.O.D. the band members are Christians, but that song is written from the perspective of a sinner and it would make for some pretty interesting discussion.
My first impression when I saw the runtime of "I Am" was "11 min?? Negative!" but something led me to listen to it and it was love at first to hear it haha It's a song that should have versions in all languages because it's just wonderful! Would love for you guys to do The Rest is Mystery by Project Aegis. Matt Smith from this band does the vocals, along with a few other awesome and legendary vocalists.
The song I Am is a detailed description of what God represents
How come you you haven't reacted to Bride or Deliverance or Tourniquet or Barren Cross and Sacred Warrior
Hi pastor rob. Can you do a reaction video to the Christian band Disciple? They're great and more ppl need to know. About them. If you read this, please do Regime Change or Panic Room. Let me know if you get this, I can show you more, but those are their two besties imo
This was amazingly good, next time you should totally react to diamonds to dust!
If you do you should react to either Corpus Christi or Adventure Time
I’m surprised that they haven’t already 🧐😁
That would be amazing
Hi Robert,
Please go for
Diamonds to dust - Corpus Christi.
This will be a banger.
Rob Rock: Only A Matter Of Time LIVE
reaction please
Essa música é uma obra prima, linda, maravilhosa e poderosa.
Go for it …do the whole 20 minutes of the song mirror of souls by theocracy it is a beautiful and intricate song that is an amazing example of what the band stands for. I was truly impressed and delighted when I began listening to this bands music. I highly recommend another band named White Cross if you haven’t listened to them yet a good song is He is the Rock
White cross is awesome!
Rob Rock: In The Night LIVE
reaction please
This my favourite record by them. Not one bad song on the entire record
They have to be inspired by Dream Theater. The vocals and guitar are on par with Dream Theater.
Great reaction and commentary to a great song. If I could recommend another Theocracy song though, my pick is Martyr. I don't think you will be disappointed. Take care and God bless.
Love Theocracy!!
Laying the demon to rest by Theocracy
Essa letra é linda e poderosa. Saudações do Brasil Pr. Rob
Speaking of I Am, you should react to the song of the same name by P.O.D. the band members are Christians, but that song is written from the perspective of a sinner and it would make for some pretty interesting discussion.
If you do another Theocracy song someday, I recommend "The Wonder of It All."
My first impression when I saw the runtime of "I Am" was "11 min?? Negative!" but something led me to listen to it and it was love at first to hear it haha It's a song that should have versions in all languages because it's just wonderful! We feels immersed in a degree of worship where nothing around matters. And no matter how many times I listen to this song, it always made me feel the same emotion.
Please react to Underoath- Act of Depression
Rob Rock - I'm A Warrior Live reaction please
FINALLY!!! Great video Pastor!
A question:
The portion of "Second Chance", couldn't it be a second chance for humanity as we failed in Adam & Eve?
If one day you day you have the patience, please review "Mirror of Souls", it's a beautiful 20+ minutes journey.
God bless!
I love Mirror of Souls. Great song
FINALLY! 😂
You shoul react to mirror of souls or laying the demon to rest from theocracy
Nailed is another great song and Easter off of Ghost Ship
this is by far my favorite Power Metal band
You have to hear Laying the demon to rest by Theocracy!!!!
THEOCRACY - MARTYR reaction
Do “Laying the Demon to rest” by Theocracy
Great job guys,
Theocracy is one of my favorite metal bands.
First time viewer here. Glad you liked I Am. I recommend you revisit Theocracy. 'Absolution Day' and "On Eagles Wings' and good next steps. So is 'Nailed'.
Before I heard this song I was a Pigeon, now I’m an Eagle
