Just what I’ve been looking for. Thank you. ….Is it just me that finds the simplest cards, like this beautiful hand embossed one, way more appealing and sophisticated than the bejeweled-to-death, glittery rainbow ones, covered in die-cut layers and foiled sentiments?
Great idea for making your own stencils. I use a light box to dry emboss but you could use a lamp under a glass coffee table to light up your work to make it easier to see where the holes are to be embossed. I also wipe the side of the card I am going to emboss with a tumble dryer sheet which makes the embossing tool glide over the surface.
Thanks for this helpful info! I am new to hand embossing and I was wondering if it would be difficult to see where to emboss when the paper is laid over the stencil!
Hi Pamela in answer to your question, you should be able to see thro the card and stencil with the light underneath/lightbox providing the card is not too thick. I would suggest white or cream card would work best, at least to start with.
So helpful, very beautifully explained an overall satisfying and relaxing video to watch. God bless you and your family. I will be using your recipe to make my tallow candles for a Christmas markers market I will be participating in this year 🤗🙏
Very impressive!
Thank you Love it !!!!

People don’t realize how much work goes into embossing especially if you’re making your own stencils. Very impressive!
This is exactly what I have been looking for! Calligraphy, watercolors and all. Thank you!!!
