I too love creating card fronts from embossing folders. 3D embossing folders create fantastic cards and I am love how the companies are coming out with gorgeous folders. ❤
When I first got embossing pads and powders, one of my pads smelled like cinnamon. Not sure if it was the craft store smell (you know that smell), or if it was scented. I still catch a whiff occasionally and it brings back such good memories. The setup was a gift that made me so happy and feel so lucky! I still use it all the time!
Years ago when I was with CTMH, I noticed that there was a scented smell to my embossing pad and it could have been cinnamon. As I said, it was a LONG time ago.
It did turn out very pretty! The dark background with the misty white gives it an ethereal feel. Since I always have to add another final touch, I would have lightly gilded the centers of the daisies too. 🌼
Awesome Kristina, you are really good at thinking beyond the square. Really gorgeous card. Thank you and I hope you never get bored helping people like me get ideas for our card making. Thank you, Milly
So glad to see this video today - I embossed poinsettias onto vellum, then turned it over and using my ball tool went over only the poinsettias - they really popped up - for the inside I made a pop out and embossed the same design on colored card stock and was planning to go over the design with white ink - I will get out one of my embossing brushes and go over it lightly in white like you mentioned - thanks for the tips
Wow Kristina W.o.W.! How beautifully life like the white flowers look. And the gold edging makes the card. The white and gold are like adding magic. Because the gold edging is uneven, it feels like you deckle edged the navy cardstick and mounted it on cardstock. I love it!🌷🌷
This is a beautiful card and the embossing folder is fantastic, so much texture. You really made the flowers pop with the white ink and I love the results if the gold on the edges. 🥰🇨🇦
I love this technique. When I do it on light blue cardstock it always reminds me of Wedgewood china. I love the addition of the gold edging on the card front. Very pretty card.
Beautiful card! I used to emboss the edges of my cards, but didn't like the warping I would get. So now I use Sizzix Luster Wax in Gold and love it! No more warping. Of course you have too NOT mind getting your fingers dirty, but it is beautiful too! Love your videos!
Wow, that card is gorgeous. I love this and thanks for sharing. I will for sure be breaking out my embossing folders to see what I can come up with. Love it. Thanks Kristina!
Omg, how creative and beautiful. I will have to try this! Just started using my Sizzix Big Shot and now started using embossing powder! So much fun and possiblities! Thanks for the inspiration!
I love your presentation, can I give you a tip? Hold your card in a toaster oven with some kind of big tweezer and move back and forth near the heat for 9 t0 15 seconds and it will rise higher and have a better luster.
Hi Kristina… thanks for sharing this beautiful card! I love that you embossed it on dark card stock and I love the white highlights and gold accents! I’m currently creating a batch of cards and this idea is perfect. I haven’t been edging my cards lately but have all the colors of Cosmic Shimmer Gilding polish that works beautifully for both the highlights and the edges! I needed the reminder so I can use wonderful supplies already in my stash. I fell in love with this kit and ordered it for my stash as well. Have a great day! 🙂

That is one of the prettiest cards I’ve seen, considering how simple the process was… I love it!

I LOVE how the embossed edges aren't perfect. Gives that touch of whimsy. Very pretty card!
This card done in different colours would make a beautiful gift set. Love it!
Impressively pretty and simple, too.
The finish doesn't make us dissapointed !! It's so gorgeous and stunning!! Great job!!
That wax from Tim Holtz would be gorgeous around the edges too. I love the way it melts with heat.

This folder is the main reason that I got the kit. Thanks for this video!
Making a card with daisies with blue card stock, who would think of this, of course you would! It is amazing!
I use the embossing ink in the embossing folder. Works really good. Embossing powder is very fine plastic.
