Fascinating. It was so interesting to see the process. I have never done anything even remotely like what you showed. When you explained that you needed to use a blanket I could definitely understand the need for a soft layer such as a blanket to squish the paper into the mold. But have a question about the blanket. Please don't laugh. Is the blanket you used a cut up blanket like you'd put on a bed? I'd really like to know.
I know this reply is so so late (I've been away from the channel) but no, it's a press blanket made specifically for printing presses. You can use dense felt though
Excellent presentation. Magic! 🐈⬛
Oh! Ty🎉🎉🎉🎉
Love your demos... always to the point and easy to understand.
Thanks Liz!
Thanks for this video, short and sharp!
Thanks Lesley!
Thanks! This was a lot of help and you are delightful.
Thank you!
Beautiful.
Lovely!
Thank you!

Which paper you used for printing?
I think this was Snowdon 300gsm
Thank u for the great video, not sure I understand the paper soaking, so I soak it and leave it to dry then work? Or work with the paper when wet?
You blot it so that it's slightly damp but not dripping wet
Hey! Thank you for the tutorial! I was wondering if it is possible to print it by hand?
Yes you can! The result isn't quite as crisp but you can use a spoon to press the paper into the shapes
If you want to emboss and print... wich one do you do first?
Print, dry the print and them emboss. If you print second, the embossing could get squashed out
@@Handprinteduk if you’ve already printed and re-wet the paper to emboss does this damage the existing ink?
@@inkwellandthyme It would depend on the ink used - some inks are water soluble. I would give it a try to see.
Don't you lose the image when the paper dries?
No, it stays embossed :)
cute design and cute you! 😉
Do you need to put a medium on the paper to protect it when you are done? To keep the embossing in the paper.
No, it should stay on it's own. I'd recommend doing a test of your paper to make sure it keeps an embossing well
Hi, is it possible if i use pond press machine instead of rotary one like etching ? Thank you!
At etching press is best for embossing. Relief presses don't work very well for this
@@Handprinteduk thankyou!
What can I use if I don't have an etching/printing press? Thank you!
This process is best with a press but you could try using a baren with a sheet of greaseproof paper to see if you get any result
Do you even know how pretty you are 😐
