    I thoroughly enjoyed that, I have ever only had one go at linocutting when I was in school, ( I am now 70 years old) I might just take it up again to complement my wood carvings.

      Oh my ! £80 more today to start coloured layers! So glad I checked via the Artists and Illustrators article magazine and your shop was mentioned for the inks and tools :) I don’t ever buy on Amazon as I disagree with the billions of profit they make when they pay a smidgen in corporate tax but rely on our roads and public services ....ahem.

    Look, before I even get into the video I want to give you big props for making a video this good on your phone. A lot of people get indimitated by not having the proper equipment for youtube, but you just make up for it with fantastic arcticulation of speech and great content. That's quality right there, rather than just having the right camera.

    The tip about holding your cutting tool differently to how you hold a pencil is actually super helpful! I always struggle to control my lines when I'm cutting lino and never thought about changing my grip.

    Love your excellent teaching. I’m a wood cutter. Cannot be as precise as I’ve noticed with the linocuts. Have been too shy about trying Lino. Now with your teaching - I’m believing I’ll be brave and hooked for precision in the Lino. Thank you. And you are adorable ☺️

      Before watching this vídeo, I feel Very difficult to work with linóleo I'd rather prefer woodcut instead, because I could Control the sharpness of the cuts better.
      I'm Grateful for your generosity in explaining the details of this art.

    Yes! That's _exactly_ the memory I have! So that's why it was always falling apart.... 😆

    Ah, thank you for explaining the "snap" with Lino. I used EZ Carve and was perplexed by how to best rid my tool of the waste just carved away. Excellent tutorial!

    My first lino cut tutorial and it was fabulous, thank you. I am a mixed media artist who mainly uses stamps for work and am really wanting to learn how to make my own lining cut stamps. Any advice gratefully accepted. I especially want to make folks Hares and backgrounds

    Love it, I use those essdee paler rubbery tiles now as I like to keep them for years and years they seem to last without deterioration. either way they carve so much easier when hot I use to put them on the radiator for a bit :)

    fantastic video, thanks so much! been doing relief printing at college (albeit with card instead of lino and using ballpoint pens instead of carving tools; works decently on a budget, but a pain in the ass for clearing areas LMAO) and want to use it for my end-of-year project, but wanted to give it a go properly with lino. looks so fun and pretty beginner friendly! off into town tomorrow to get some supplies, so i'll doubtless be back to this vid once i have!

    I just came here because I'm interested in new kinds of art and I love your video it's very informative and easy to understand , my background is tattooing and more recently leather smithing, I think a "Lazy Susan" would be a great addition to your toolbox you could hold your chisels and spin the lazy susan for a better cut, just an idea maybe useful to you.
