    As a current owner of one of this for 5 years i can say that there isn’t any car that i love and hate more. The crank has screwed me over 2 times but it has also been reliable and it has gotten me out of some very tight situations. Very comfortable in the front and also very fun. But god that engine was a sin. Ford really screwed the pooch on this one. I’ve owned and driven every Land Rover and Jaguar product in existence and i can say that this is one of their best. Take that as you wish. Anyway good review

      It's a shame cause from a power & economy perspective this engine is definitely the pick of the range, the 3.6 Is probably the tougher choice though

      @@BuckleUpShow I’ve had the 3.6 TDV8 and let me tell you that the remap i did to the SDV6 made me forget about the 3.6. It’s not worth it. But the V8. That’s the best. Too bad they weren’t smart enough to put in the 8 speed ZF from sdv6. That would have made it a beast. The 6speed is really sluggish and it hurts it. Also i suggest you get the nav replacement with apple carplay/android auto. Did it to mine and was really worth it. Also i got the 22inch overfinch wheels and it’s surprisingly good in snow so don’t worry too much. Still the 19’s are amazing. Also i suggest that you check the headlight relays and fuses as the right one has a habit of dying slowly. Happened to me and a friend of mine.

    Beautiful discussions!!! Like spot on. I own this same exact vehicle and know on point exactly what you were saying 100% of the time. True fact just coming from me.

    When Tata took LR over, their first request to the design team was to turn the RRS L320 into a proper RR and make it more sporty as from the 2010 models. They did that quite well I think.
    If you really want Sport then you need the Petrol engine. But the 3.0 sequential turbo was a massive improvement.
    It is far prettier than a Disco 4 and far, far better value.
    But everyone has a Disco. Why FFS?

    • @BuckleUpShow
      @BuckleUpShow  9 месяцев назад

      Well the ride is much worse (on the larger rim sizes that were very popular with the people who bought RRS's originally) and everyone assumes you're a drug dealer

      Agreed if you’re stupid enough to use ultra low profile wheels. The ideal size is 19” using the Pirelli Scorpion tyres LR intended.
      The ride will still be a little firmer than a Disco. But it supposed to be a sportier ride. Just not to wreck your spine.
      The trick is to keep the car as standard speck rather than pimp it up like a tart’s handbag.
      It is a classy car if you leave it as the designer’s intended it be.

    Nice roundup of an RRS there. I think the missing trim and squidgy seat bolster can be forgiven on an 11 year old, 116k mile car though.

      I've been in (and owned) multiple 15+ years old 100k+ family hatchbacks from normal mainstream brands that have held up better. It's not the end of the world by any means but it's worth mentioning.

      5'11" or 180cm whichever takes your fancy, the Dr. Martens add about an inch to that.
