The backhoe can be fixed , it will be one of the most useful tools around your place . Everything from civil engineering to mechanical engineering and more . Good find there Jonathan . Can build yourself a massive workshop and storage with it , no problem at all . Had all my tickets in GB for most heavy plant operation . Used and repaired these for over twenty years in all . Save a lot of backache and heartache with one of these to hand for sure . . Old heavy plant should be found and put back to work , same as the old classics . Keep up the excellent work and content . . See you all in the next one . Top man .

This looks like it'll be fun. I don't know what it is about these older pieces of heavy equipment, but I would hang out at construction sites (before folks got real safety conscious and put up security fences) and watch them work. So diagnosis and repair will be very interesting to me. This was a good start to Saturday morning.

I wonder if the power steering pump is out of oil? My 580B had not moved in years. And when I started it it did not want to steer until I got some oil in it. I also wonder this must be a power shuttle. It could be the release valve is stuck open. I know when I press what we would call the clutch pedal it stays down just enough that I don`t have shuttle pressure. This will be a good backhoe when the fix a few things. Thank you for the video,

If the rear bucket work good and he could have used down pressure on the bucket and the swing to take that rear end right out of there and also use the rear bucket a lot of that whole lot easier
