@@bigdavid1 😂Very cool👍I hope im lucky enough to one day experience "old man fustration" Own an old 70's 580C and a few of your videos have been instrumental in keeping her running. Keep up the great videos😎👌👍
This was a great video. Good Job. Since help was hard to come by for me, I borrowed a friends engine hoist. It just barely raised it high enough to swing it around into the back of my pickup. My local shop didn't do a great job. When I took it off, it just leaked. Now it doesn't leak but the boom gradually lowers. I don't think it is worth the effort to take it back off and back to the shop so I'll live with it. Keep up the good videos!
Thank you for the video, I have a 1996 super-L and also need to look for help with some of the heavier components. Still enjoy using and occasionally fixing the machine. Ken
It's easier to just knock the rod pin out and retract the cylinder while it's still plumbed in. Then knock the barrel pin out and remove. It's more work, and the possibility of a bigger mess, to remove both lines and suck the cylinder in manually.
when it comes to the big repair jobs on my Backhoe I'll call case to come out and handle those jobs they have everything on the service trk to work on heavy equipment
I don't remove the cylinders, I remove the eyelet pin, Jack it up, brace it with 6x6 loose the cap and pull the shaft.impact the end cap off. I have to do mine also.
I'm only going to do so much to my Backhoe and big repairs like you're doing I'm going to call the case service trk out seems when it comes to something like that I do not want to tackle that.
Love the old man frustrations...just a cool dude oh well screw it attitude....pure gold!

A rubber tipped blow nozzle and an air bubble on the open port will retract the ram. Way easier than dicking around with a strap winch.
On your other vid on the fire ants 🐜 like to know more about your set up 20 gallon tank, power washer, batt and how it’s set up, trailer ty

You shouldn't need to open everything. There's a lot of work to do, you should just open it and pull it out. It can be done in 1 hour
I guess I'll be doing this to my Backhoe some day or I'll just be better off to get case service trk out to the farm to work on my Backhoe eather way
I'm only going to do so much to my Backhoe and big repairs like you're doing I'm going to call the case service trk out seems when it comes to something like that I do not want to tackle that.
[ carry it to the repair shop just like I would do or get them come to you eather way they got everything to do the job.
