- Keep your tablet or Kindle protected with this handy tablet sleeve, made to measure for your device! There is a useful pocket on the front in which to keep a mobile phone, small notebook or pens.
To gauge the measurements, add 1” [2.5cm] to each side of your tablet and 0.5” [0.75cm] to the top for the front of the sleeve, then the same width but add 7” [18cm] to the back to allow for the flap. The pocket is the same width but approx. 2/3 the height of the sleeve front.
Measurements and cutting instructions for an iPad which measures 6.5” x 9.5” [17cm x 24cm]:
1 outer and 1 lining fabrics each measuring 8.5” x 10” [22cm x 26cm] for the front
1 outer and 1 lining each measuring 8.5” x 17” [22cm x 44cm] for the back/flap
2 lining fabrics each measuring 8.5” x 7” [22cm x 18cm] for the pocket
26” x 17” [66cm x 44cm] wadding or fusible fleece [I used 80/20]
1 large button
Elastic hair bungee
Note: If you’re using faux leather or cork you won’t be able to press from the outside, so try a little steam from your iron, or iron from the inside if your lining is cotton.
