I watched this because I needed a cover for my Kindle. I was going to chicken out and do square corners on the flap, but decided to push myself to do the curve like you did. It looks so nice as you did it and it looked great when I did it myself. I thank you for your clever design and suggestion about trying new techniques. Carry on!
I just got done making this tablet cover for my husband's tablet and I will admit that it was very easy to make. I did not do the nice quilting because I didn't know how to get it to work on my machine. I just quilted around the pattern on the material and did a button with buttonhole to hold it in place. While I think that I could have done better it did come out looking really good. Now I know what I am doing the next round will be much quicker and better. Thank you once again. ❤❤
I have had the worst time getting my binding correct. You made the bag dead easy and showed me how to make binding simple. Your bag is lovely. Thank you.
So pleased to have found this tutorial, Laura. Its exactly what I need to make for my daughter and myself. I love your clear, complete instrutions, and you are so easy to listen to. Thank you for sharing.
Instead of quilting, or In addition, I would do some machine embroidery with perhaps a monogram. I never seem to have a pen or paper handy. Your pockets are a great idea. I know what I will be working on tomorrow
I have been looking for an easy tutorial for making a tablet cover. This has to be the easiest one so far and so very well explained. Thank you very much. I am going to attempt to make this and pray that it will come out just as good.♥
How wonderful is this. Perfect for student that are learning from home or doing hybrid schooling 2 days in class and 2 days at home on the computer. It sure is a different world.
Thank you for another great video. I love when you show us how to make customized accessories for all sorts of things. We appreciate all the thoughtfulness you put into your videos.
A Bit of Sewing you are so correct. I have tried to say what you just have but the right words have escaped me. You have said it so well. I enjoy every one of Laura’s videos. 💜
I love this video! You have reminded me that from time to time I need to make something pretty for myself. I am always sewing projects as gifts for those I love. But this time, I get to make something lovely and useful for myself. Thank you for the nice reminder and very helpful video!
I agree with the Sara. I like snaps but they might scratch the screen. I would also be inclined to make the front flap longer (perhaps right to the bottom just for that extra bit of protection. Love your videos Laura. You are a great teacher
Cool! I have a new tablet that I need a sleeve for. Will definitely try this one. I like that you focus exclusively on the instructions without a lot of unrelated chatter.
Such an awesome idea. I use zippers on mine but I love the polished look of this clutch. Will definitely try it. You're a great teacher and very detailed.
Just in the nick of time! Thank you Laura I really needed this tutorial! You always come up with the best ideas ever and your teaching method is superb. God bless you ❤
WOW! Seeing how you design things and your thought process through each step is wonderful! Thank you. Perfect timing as my kids came home from school with chromebooks today with no cases. :)
Re.: Placing binding on the top of the pocket opening... If you like to hand stitch the binding down, first sew on the right side. However, if you'd like to sew the binding down completely by machine, first sew the binding on the lining side. Then flip over to the right side and machine stitch... It will be perfect on the right side and if you miss a stitch or two on the inside... It won't be seen (unless scrutinized with a microscope!) because it's a half inch down inside the pocket! ❤🌅🌵😷
Laura I love your videos and this one especially was really awesome I just have 1 fear and that is with those snaps is there any possibility that pushing too hard on them might crack the screen..
I'd like to make a pocket on the back of the outside of the pouch, and a smaller pocket on the inside just enough to add a couple of credit cards as well.
I love your project. Thank you. I have tried to find those huge metal snaps you used in this video but cannot. Where did you buy them? Thank you Laura.
Help, advice requested. I’m using pre-quilted fabric and want to layer it between two contrasting fabrics. Do I stitch all 3 together only around the edges or do I add a center seam (or more) to help hold the 3 fabrics together? TIA
@@SewVeryEasy thank you! Your videos are so well thought out and easy to follow. Loved the one on the carrier for a hot casserole too. I need to make both the clutch and the carrier. 😊
Would magnetic snaps work? Regular snaps against the screen perhaps damage? Or put a plastic insert on the screen side. Have used plastic cross stitch in other applications

what a thorough tutorial. i think i'm going to try a tie or button closure instead of snaps becuase snaps are one of my sewing phobias lol.
cute! i would use velcro instead of snaps so that the screen is protected.
For a closure, you could add a tie to middle or edges of the flap and put button to wrap tie around. Your bag looks great.
I honestly love this and love you.

Oh my gosh I love your fabric choice. It’s beautiful. I really like how you are wearing your hair. Lovely.
Sew do I, she has such an elegance about herself, love it

I made this one, only I added a handle for mine, and did mine without the binding! It turned out cute!
Thanks Laura. You are a very awesome teacher. Love your tutorials. This tablet pouch is great and beautiful fabric.
Great Christmas gift!
Such an awesome idea. I use zippers on mine but I love the polished look of this clutch. Will definitely try it. You're a great teacher and very detailed.
Laura, yet again... Love the clutch... and your hair up is a beautiful look on you.... Thanks again for your impeccable teaching... Jon
Thanks Jon, It's always nice to hear from you

This is great! I was thinking about making a cover for my device, but didn't want it to be complicated. This works for me.. Thanks.
I made one of these a few years ago for my tablet. I love it. Everything fits nicely inside.
Great video Laura.
How very nice.. i try this making. Thank u!! For sharing dis video
Got to show this to my daughter, she sews better than I do. This is a great idea for a Christmas gift.
WOW! Seeing how you design things and your thought process through each step is wonderful! Thank you. Perfect timing as my kids came home from school with chromebooks today with no cases. :)
Thank you. You really made it so very easy!
I’m in my early 30’s and espire to look as beautiful and classy as you one day 😊
looks great! When I've looked at tablet cases before it's always a hassle to find one I Iike. With this tutorial I'll be able to make one myself
Brilliant, thanks for explaining so clearly. Such great tips for measuring and your editing is just right. Thank you, I’ll be back 😃
Lovely clutch for tablet. Very pretty fabric. Thanks
That is so pretty 👏. I can’t wait to make some for Christmas 🎄✝️. Thank you for sharing. Stay safe healthy and happy 👍👍
Yes, that's a great idea, Christmas gifts
Thank you so much. This illustration is so awesome....thumbs up 👏👏👏
This looks lovely Laura and very pretty. A very practical way to keep everything together too ! Love it, thanks for sharing.
This is awesome! You are so talented and a wonderful teacher. Thank you!
Yes she is, wonder if she ever taught school🤔 I'd request to be in her class😂
Love this! Thank you.
Your tutorials are wonderful. Do you have a tutorial for a padded fabric 15" laptop bag with handles?
Beautiful🌸. And I adore the fabric!
I like this idea. Simple and easy to make. This is great for my tablet. Thank you. Sandra B.
I is a good idea, it looks pretty especially with your choice of fabrics. Again I love your hair up like that, lovely
Thank you! 😊
Thanks Laura, you come up with super ideas & very useful ones. Thanks for sharing xx

Beautiful job.thank you .I love how you explain.
Your instructions are so clear! Thank you.
I'll take that clutch out for a night on the town first then put my tablet in it, too cute
You really have wonderful ideas. From Switzerland Thank you
Beautiful job, as always! Love your choice of fabrics.
Very nice! Thanks Laura, can you please give us a tutorial on bedside pocket? I would be very grateful
This both beautiful and practical. What quilting design did you use?
Lynne Lawrence Just a quick guess, it looks like her "Double C" design which she has demonstrated in a previous video.
Very pretty and useful. Thank you
You are amazing, thank you . What a lovely gift for my friends
Wow great tutorial and well taught. Thank you .
I love the way you explain thank you very much
Great for kindle paper white or kindle fire
Beautiful work!! Thank you!!
Laura I love your videos and this one especially was really awesome I just have 1 fear and that is with those snaps is there any possibility that pushing too hard on them might crack the screen..
The Quilted fabric does add some extra protection against the snaps however I do put my tablet in with the back facing the snaps just to be extra sure
That’s so darned cute!

Great job. Very nice bag.
I love your project. Thank you. I have tried to find those huge metal snaps you used in this video but cannot. Where did you buy them? Thank you Laura.
They are considered coat snaps or fur coat snaps will work. I found them at my local fabric shop
Perfect project as always.
Beautiful clutch♥️ what type of snaps did you use. Would they scratch tablet
The quilted fabric does give them some protection but I will be putting my tablet in so that the back side is facing the snaps
I really love this. Thank you very much.
This is such a lovely tutorial! I will try it! 🥰Thank you for sharing.
Really cool. I like this idea
Just what I've been looking for!
I love this project thanks
Oh that is just lovely!
Neat idea ! Have you done a tour of you newly finished studio ?
Not yet I'm still working on it
@@SewVeryEasy Grandma used to say, "Good things come to those who wait." We will be patient ;)
Can't wait to see her new studio
With the curved edge on the flap, do we need bias binding or just a strip of fabric cut on the straight of grain? ❤🌅🌵😷
Bias really does work better but it can be done with the regular binding
Thank you for sharing this video! Great tutorial! What type of snaps did you use and how did you attach them?
I did sew them on and there were size 21 something like this one amzn.to/35Kq2B5
You've done it again! :-) Annandale, Minnesot
What kind of snaps did you use? This clutch is fabulous! Thank you!
These are just large snaps that I picked up at my fabric store
Do you know the snap brand? ...I’ve never seen those, and I will have to order online. The size is perfect for that project!
Help, advice requested. I’m using pre-quilted fabric and want to layer it between two contrasting fabrics. Do I stitch all 3 together only around the edges or do I add a center seam (or more) to help hold the 3 fabrics together? TIA
Love it. Can wait to make one. Thanks
Did you make one?
great project
Love this little clutch. What kind of snaps did you use?
I used size 21 something like this amzn.to/35Kq2B5
@@SewVeryEasy thank you! Your videos are so well thought out and easy to follow. Loved the one on the carrier for a hot casserole too. I need to make both the clutch and the carrier. 😊
Thank you for this very cute project ~ and another wonderful video.
The fabric is beautiful. Who makes it? Thanks.
not to sure, the fabric did not have the name on it :)
Is there away to make it like a crossbody for kids?
I think if you just added a strap on each side and top stitched it down it would work fine
@@SewVeryEasy thank you, I am going to try to add one.
Я люблю ваши уроки, не знаю английского,но смотрю и мне всё понятно ,спасибо😊
Love it. Where can we find those snaps?
They are just large snaps that I bought at my local fabric store
You Are very good inspiration to me
Thank you. Nice and simple.
Your hair looks nice.

Love your clutch video! I've been looking for something easy like this. This is the best one. Love it! Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you! 🤟
Nice video - but would not use those snaps. A big button with hook or Velcro would be safer to use.
Love it, Love it, thanks
Are you using bias binding?
no but you can :)
Awesome👏👏👏 thank you Laura ❤️😀
Great project for Christmas gifts, but I think I might put a strap on mine.
That's a great idea!
Wow so cute!
I really like this. Thanks!
Glad you like it!
Nice bag but i would make it longer so my accessories wont make it so bulky
Beautiful 😍😍😍😍
Thanks a lot! 🌸🌸
💝💝💝💝💝Thank you very much
You are a beautiful woman and very easy to follow.
