AoE moves (Mazio in this case) are always riskier because if any enemy happens to dodge, it blows 2 entire turns. Evan was right to use Zionga to maximize the chance of gaining another turn.
be glad you got the easy version of lahmu, in the creation route his fight is much harder i was stuck on him for a while. although i guess this route has that tough nammah fight beforehand instead. also if you plan to play creation after its at this point of the story is where the paths massively diverge

Also, outside of completely new things that had been added Lahmu and Sahori's part of the story is the most changed (yet) by far if you picked the Canon of Vegenance.

Lahmu, the main threat of today’s episode, is in both routes of the game unlike the Qadistu. However his role is a little different in the Canon of Creation than it is here.
Lahmu is an entity from Sumerian/Mesopotamian mythology. The most notable story from that mythology and the one you’re most likely to have heard of is the Epic of Gilgamesh, about the adventurer and king of the same name.
Lahmu’s role in Sumerian myth is not particularly large. He and his female counterpart Lahamu are most notable for being the offspring of the mother goddess Tiamat, with all three appearing in opposition to the other gods.
Decidedly unlike this game’s interpretation, Lahmu was occasionally depicted as humanoid to the extent that depictions of him were occasionally mistaken for Gilgamesh himself in the modern day.

Grimoires exist to be used. If you hoard them, you'll end up with a stack of 99 and won't be able to use them because your whole party will be capped.
I always hoard them until the endgame. There are mid level demons like Idun and Yoshitsune that are still op at level 90+ that I use almost all of them on
I disagree, there's no reason to use grimoires on demons you don't plan on using for the rest of the game. They're there to make sure demons stay viable.
If you know you're just going to fuse away a demon within 2-5 hours of gameplay like usual, there's no point in using a grimoire on them.
@@LordlyWeeb i would say, grimoires are useful if you want to fusion something but one of the materials have something like a repel skill or a very good attack for the demon you want to create.

I saw a playthrough where if you gave a lifestone to the chicken, you fight. It must be because you had one of your own that there was no fight or it was the wrong demon.

I'm thankful for Yoko. She said her necessary piece to Tao and saved her friend who gave the finger to Lahmu. Lahmu deserves all of Ali's hate, mine as well.

You should be strong enough to finally start that menorah quest you had. That entire questline is definitely one to give a try, although it in its self is one giant reference to SMT 3 specifically.

I don't really know if that scene is Tao doing some shock therapy on Sahori or just the results of Yoko being a bad influence. I'd like to think it's the former because I don't like the idea of Tao actually being willing to kill just because someone said that's what ahe should do
I think it's a mix of both. In Japanese her wording is a lot more clear in that she talks about "being willing to dirty her hands for Sahori's sake" and "share Sahori's burden", but I also think it's still likely she was doing it to shook Sahori out of doing it. At the very least she doesn't have it in her to go through with it.
But at a later point in the game Tao does say that she knows what it's like being willing to dirty her hand for the sake of someone she cares about, so she was at least half serious.

It’s interesting to see one of the bigger changes from the original storyline to this one. I understand why they might not of wanted to go as dark as they did in the original it’ll be interesting to see why specifically to change that moment as I’m playing this for the first time too and a little bit ahead of this point.

I’m trying to special summon a demon, and just need 1 demon to make it… 3 accidental fusions and all of my macca later and I finally got it.
Oh god. There's a Special Fusion that requires a demon only obtainable via Fusion Accidents? That's evil.
No, I was trying to summon the demon I needed and I got 3 accidents (that gave me the wrong demons) in a row. The moon wasn’t full.

@@heyyodude8637no, plus I figured I could still us them to fuse other demons. The main part that was annoying was that I never get accident fusions even when I wait for full moon and got three in a row when I actually want the normal fusion.

Also, this is where things drastically deviate from the original (Canon of Creation) route. It gets more extreme later, but the initial major diversion has occurred. In fact, this is also the part where having not played the original plotline hurts a bit, because the deviations expect you to know what originally happened. Suffice it to say, Lahmu is MUCH stronger when you fight him in the original because of how the plot diverges.

Before you guys move on you really should try on the return of the true demon quest, it's a pretty important part of the smt lore, missing it would be a shame
