Also heres a tip.
In your items, you might have Gospels and Grimores. With a gospel, you can level up your main character by one level. Grimores do the same thing for demons, but they can't level up past your main character.
Another item have may have are Glory crsytals, and as the name suggests they give glory.
These items are obtained by defeating mitamas.
Red gives grimores
Light blue give glory
Yellow gives relics/macca
Black gives gospels

No, the normal SMT experience is something randomly happening beyond your control that causes your demise. Like an enemy landing an insta kill while you're unaware it has one, or Mot non stop spamming Beast Eye in Nocturne. This, however, was just pure stupidity. Had Evan actually took his time rather than rush his way through his items he could've prevented that from happening.

"if she resists we lose our turn", Just a helpful tip its if they BLOCK or ABSORB you lose the turn. Resist is fine you keep your turn.

I don't know if you guys noticed the huge mistake you made, you completely blocked dark attacks and had no wind weakness from that you changed it to resist dark, also resist does not affect press turn gain or loss you have to either block,drain or reflect the skill to lose or gain the press turn
About 50 minutes in, listening to Evan gaslight Ali when she was right and he was wrong about press turns and resistance hurt.

At least they are actually learning, rather than watching them breeze through Persona not even knowing all the mechanics is satisfied
@@linhlenguyen1749 SMT is "hard" inasmuch as it forces you to learn, it demands you play the game on its own terms, rather than just doing whatever you want, which other games sort of allow by virtue of being too easy.
It's one of the reasons I find other turn-based games kinda boring after playing mainline Megaten games. I almost feel insulted, like you're inviting me to finish your game while ignoring half of your mechanics.
So the tips for you guys here is after a loss, you should considering fuse any high-magic Demon to be the healer, with the condition that they are not weak against any of bosses' move. Your main problem here is that you keep Angel for too long, he is low-level now and also weak against Wind & Dark. SMT required to have the right party to have more turns, so you cannot brute force anything like you did in Persona

Miyazu is voiced by Ashlyn Madden, so not the same VA as Fuuka. Hasn't done many VA as Suzie Yeung who did voice Fuuka, but still did a great job on this character.
Resist doesn’t actually eliminate press turns at all, it’s only when your attacks are blocked, repelled, or drained.

Must've drained those press turns away like mad. Or killed Glasya Labolas that fast instead of Naamah.

Yes, actually, it's human nature and extremely common to want to return any form of normalcy after a traumatic event.
I'm still confused as to why you still have Angel and you haven't fused it into a high pixie yet. If nothing else, he immediately gains five levels of stats, gets better resists, and is still just as good a healer
Also, watching Evan in panic mode is kind of hilarious. He just kind of does things, moves his cursor around at random, and throws stuff out without thinking. It's not that he's dumb, it's that he handles pressure very badly.
@@HollowGolem lol I think it makes it more fun to watch. It also technically makes the protagonist more realistic in this playthrough because honestly who could be expected to make strategic decisions after watching maybe a dozen innocent people get maimed by a demon xD
Considering how he handles pressure in a turn based game I do wonder how he would fare against a soulslike boss

Using the Force Gem rather than the Dampener was even more stupid than the time in Persona 5 Royal when you didn't bother guarding Okumura's Big Bang Order, a Concentrate boosted attack, and got insta killed. To quote Yaldabaoth "What a truly foolish end".

in order to get a press turn(extra turn) you can (pass, critical, hit a weakpoint, call out/change demon) if all the turn icons on the top right are glowing you cant get anymore turns. as long as there dark you can do one of the (pass, crit, weakpoint.) thing. btw im sure maybe you already realized you were not weak to wind kinda made it harder on ur self not blocking darkness. btw dang that mistaking the force gem with the force damp eeeh i would say it happens but honestly i never made that mistake lol. eeeh (F) sorry for your loss....

multitarget zio would have been fine resist doesnt effect press turn just damage and i think lower chance of crit, its block that you have to worry about
Magic attacks can't crit at all without things like Magatsuhi skills.

Well, I’m not surprised. School was a constant in the Persona games, which is a series spinoff of Shin Megami Tensei, so of course we’re expected to go to school after all that
This is actually quite strange for an SMT game, with the exception of Shin Megami Tensei if..., which happens to be the game that inspired Persona. Most SMT protags are indeed high school students but usually once the apocalypse happens, they're permanently there. This is the only one I can think of where you go back and forth between normal life and an apocalyptic wasteland.
@@Lutyrannus Personally? I think if Persona hadn't, seemingly permanently, settled into that, understandably SUPER popular, semi-screwball psychological dramedy tone after 4, this MIGHT have been announced as Persona 6.
It's worth remembering that the original Megami Tensei novel that the whole series came from is about a high school nerd summoning demons through a computer program. It's been in the DNA of the series since the beginning
@@Volvagia1927 not really, it has nothing to do with Persona, which has more to do with psychology rather than the occult. This game is still primarily about demons, ideology, and the occult, like most SMT games
its seems like a very weird discussion to me overall. The school aspect of modern day persona has more to do witl life sim aspect of series that SMT doesn't have, here its just a small pacing breather in between Da'at section and tokyo gameplay section
