  • Well, it was more like 14 months than 6 months till he was on RUclips. I also don't get why he/the registered owner was so afraid of identifying themselves to the police for prosecution - what a cowardly act, IMO. Ah well, the fine for failure to comply is worse than most mobile fines, and the points are the same. Well deserved.

Get your own life. And there's no such thing as road tax. Most of all, as a driver, you're only on the road via revocable licence; your driving is a privilege and not a right. Don't believe me? Look at the playlist of disqualified drivers on my channel. Includes Guy Ritchie, the film director. Cyclists, pedestrians and horse riders/carriages all use the public highway by right. So get lost with your road tax - it's actually a pollution tax called VED. Plus you're a freeloader as a driver - the sum of motoring taxes is far less than the sum cost of motoring to society. Pay your way or shut up.

Erm, there's no such thing? And its against the law to operate your phone and drive. The driver knew that. When he realised he'd been spotted, he reacted like a little child caught with his hand in the biscuit tin. I have been knocked off my bike by two motorists. One was avoidable if he'd been looking at the road. Trashed my right knee and right shoulder. The second was a minor bump on my front wheel. Why? Because he was staring at his phone and didn't once look up except to tell me to fuck off before driving off. Had he been travelling faster it could have been much worse. The little bag head was lucky I didn't drag him from his Ford and tear out his fucking spine. There are bad motorists and bad cyclists. But the law is abundantly clear. So put your phone away fir a few minutes. Someone's life could be either ended or severely affected forever all because you just couldn't help yourself and needed to check that last text, tweet or Facebook post.

@@PowerMadLabRat Try saying that to the thousands of innocent people who are killed and injured by drivers of two-tonne vehicles each year. The cyclist loses his life for his mistake (which is rare as we are not stupid, most know how vulnerable we are).. The car driver gets a small prison sentence for killing someone totally innocent - then back to the rest of his life. . Cyclists are a minority group, most of us are safe ourselves but we are very vulnerable out there to bad drivers, who do not care about cyclists and overtake too close etc. Not look out for us at junctions. Your comments can only make that worse, they fuel these kinds of drivers. We are not all red-light runners. The ones who do - do it safely - as they are risking their lives against cars. There will always be a tiny group of suicidal people, like base jumpers who take too much risk. Even base jumpers have to have someone scrape them off the floor and are selfish in that way. The vast majority of us lookout for buses buddy, we do not want to get squashed. Stop branding us all with the bad ones, please?. Think, please, that is all I ask of you. Plus it would be illegal to film not to mention stop people like that or when they try to jump the queue on the wrong side of the road. You could yourself be charged a serious fine for getting on the road and forcing people to go back or even for filming people in public. If you told an employer about the reckless driving or parking of one of his employees there's a good chance that he will defend his employee and try to make you look like the one who's doing wrong by squealing. Must be a strange mixture of post-dictatorship angst and a "cars first" mentality.

Then all the way down that busy area. Would be cool if they could access his phone record to see how long that call was for. He then lies and denies it. Fails to turn up in court. No regard for anyone but himself. And the reason for not taking the time to stop and take the call - a shopping trip with some pizzas he was just going to eat. Maybe he risked people's lives because he did not wan them to go cold. And did not want to take the call a few minuets later when he got home. Sad.
