    This always utterly amazes me. Look at the speed of the cars going down the right way. Look at the kids crossing with their parents or innocent pedestrians walking their dogs. All of them would look to their left when crossing BECAUSE THATS THE FLOW OF TRAFFIC! Yet people have the arrogance to abuse you for doing this! I bet they wouldn’t be happy if it was their loved one in a head on crash or knocked over when crossing! Great work and it’s quite clear you must keep doing this!!

    The number of drivers that attempt this is kind of unfathomable to me, especiallythe ones that gun it from a long way back. The rules are there for safety, yours and others. So when you are in a metal box weighting thousands of pounds that can easily injure others you owe to them to follow those rules over your need to get somewhere faster.

      Bearing in mind, said jumpers have already shown themselves to be selfish, reckles, and dangerous, I wouldn't want any of them behind me. Keep the bad drivers ahead of you, and you can compensate for their bad driving. If they're behind you, there's a limit to what you can do.
      So I'd let them in, rather than risk the driver behind me letting them in, only to have one drive into the back of my vehicle.

If the majority of people had the common sense to think about others and how their actions could affect others, we'd have less serious consequences. This is one of many reasons my wife and I won't live in a city - it's chaotic and some drivers make it incredibly dangerous. I wouldn't even cycle there tbh so hats off to you for even doing that.

    Speaking of amazement I 'm amazed that people in London are willing to sit in these huge queues when they could just walk or cycle or take public transport. When will car dependency ever end?

    • @Saranda4787
      @Saranda4787 2 года назад +1

      I agree. I live in Sweden and I've chosen to not have a driver's license because I do perfectly well either walking, cycling or using public transportation. My lifestyle simply doesn't require a driver's license, because I live in a not so big town and I also live in the most central part of town, and I haven't got kids either.

    • @caz3502
      @caz3502 Год назад

      If you've ever tried to use public transport you would understand why. Where I live I have waited for a bus to see THREE come past saying BUS FULL. Also, train drivers are going on strike randomly. What are we supposed to do?.

    • @kaasmeester5903
      @kaasmeester5903 Год назад

      Depends on what you’re doing or where you are going. If you’re hauling stuff or if you are making your way out of the city with a longer trip ahead of you, public transport often isn’t a good (or even viable) alternative.
      Our dependency on cars won’t end unless we radically change the way we live and work. People who like to hate on cars probably have the privilege of being able to bike to work or use a good public transport link. For the rest of us, that usually is an unattainable luxury.
