Good video. Great in fact. I am lucky enough to own the same bike and also a 2021 RR M Sport. Pointless bike on the road. I would take the single R any day of the week. They are the best bike for that price bracket in my opinion.
@@CorvusHyperion SS 950S looks really nice in the flesh, I loved it (especially in the white). But the lack of cruise control on that bike makes it an immediate hard pass for me. I cannot fathom why they wouldn't put CC on a bike built for sport touring.
If you would like to upgrade your rotors, you do not have to first replace your cast rims. Based upon the Cali Moto TV youtube channel (Installing Brembo Front Rotors), I purchased Brembo SuperSport floating rotors online from CapriMoto - and they fit the cast rims of my S1000R sport (2022 North American model). Just ensure that you use Brembo part # 8973751 and it will be a direct bolt-on without any issues (they will also supply the required replacement rotor bolts). If you use other Brembo SuperSport part #’s, it will likely require forged / carbon wheels. Retailers list Brembo SuperSport rotor # 8973751 as fitment for older BMW models with cast wheels, but rarely will they have them updated to include the Gen 3 S1000R cast wheels. CarpiMotor updated their website after I sent them a picture of the rotors installed on my bike. The picture they use on their website show my rotors (along with the M4 callipers that were installed from the factory).
Pick my hockenheim silver 21 plate up on Friday.. is the quadlock mount easy to wire up? What tank pads do you have? Side and rear ... thank you great video
Hi great video, I am considering buying this bike and your review was very helpful. Are those mirrors the BMW bar ends mirrors? What about the vibrations?
Great vid. I had the gen 2 for a while but found it a bit under whelming, and a bit lacking in grunt. Would you say this is a step up in that department?
Thanks, it a tough one to say for sure as I've not ridden the earlier model yet. But this doesn't need to be opened up to get the full use of it there's enough excitement and pickup through the RPM's with it. The Tuono V4 has a noticeable amount more low down grunt but they're very comparable to each other.
Picked one up about a month ago. Was this or an MT-10 for service in the area. Do not regret it one sec. So fun in dynamic pro. It’s a sleeper for sure
@@bmwm3manit was going to be one or the other. I haven’t ridden a 10, but would like too. I also have a ‘21 MT-09 and love that bike. But it wheelies all day long. 😂
@@bmwm3man Man, I love my 09. But ride with some guys that all have liter and above bike for some out of town trips. But to keep up with them i really have to be hard on the 09. Then it gets to be a gamble if i make it to the next gas station. 😂
Looking at getting one of these. Im 6ft 2 and just find the super sports a bit to crampt. Are you more comfortable on this and can be on it for longer? Thanks
Just found your video. Great review! Im actually picking up one of these , 2022 M package this week. Just wondering, when you said automatic headlights what does that mean ?
During the day if it's bright outside, only the horizontal bar daytime running light is on. Under a certain light level, it automatically enables the dimmed headlight, like on a car
@M1NDF1ELDS cheers! Picked mine up yesterday. Love it already. Dynamic Pro is fantastic 👌 . And well impressed with the headlight compared with my mt10sp I traded in.
@@chriswhitehead1173 the headlight is absolutely stunning at night. I've had a 19' honda CB 650 before and the difference is HUGE. I usually do not ride at night but this light really makes you comfortable doing it, almost as good as on a car. Generally speaking this is a great bike. Ive had my 2023 sports line with comfort and dynamic package for three months now and it's such a blast, it already has over 5000km on it and i need a new tire 🤣

Best for money has got to be the BMW hands down. The V2 is £15k upwards and doesn't have a fuel gauge, no cruise control, no keyless running etc. There's also a lack of electronic suspension and also less power. You're paying a premium price for an under equipped bike IMO.
Hi nice video. Two questions. First how much weight have catalyzer cover? Second. I put end bar mirrors. Until 4k rpm perfect view, after that you must guess what are behind you. It’s that way or someth wrong. (Are installed in dealer). Thanks
Hi, thanks. The cover is very light and doesn't weigh much at all definitely not going to compromise any performance at all. The bar end mirrors are unfortunately like that with these although mines from around 6k rpm, it's a shame as they're the ideal size, some have found less vibration in others but you loose the visibility in their size.
@@newbieriderreviews I'm not liking the stock mirrors on the bike. I can't see anything. Probably gonna have to switch it out to those bar ends after all. Thanks, man.
@@oakfan21 I had the same issue when I test rode one. I made sure i ordered these bar ends when I ordered the bike with some other bits too. Well worth their money!
Hi, it is indeed the only part for now. Theres absolutely no need to remap at all but I have disabled the flap by removing the metal cables so its always open. Just makes it sound much nicer than if it was left in
The RR has a wide band lambda which typically means no need for a remap when you change the exhaust. I don't know 100% for certain but I suspect the single R is also wideband lambda.
Thanks for your questions bud, ive actually just swapped it out for the OEM BMW carbon deflector. Can't say ive noticed any difference in the two going to the carbon tbh. Id imagine at higher speeds tucked in it may help ever so slightly
I got one for my bike (exactly same) and notice it makes quite a bit of difference. Wind hits you at helmet height which is fine, plus it makes the bike look heaps more aesthetically pleasing.
Ummmm…. It doesn’t, Tuono v4 will change your life, but if you a fan boy for bmw and that beautiful screen but that’s all bmw has. If you want music (Exhaust sound) power, performance, etc. basically a sport bike with handlebars, Tuono wins every time.

It certainly does, so easy to ride fast!

Thanks mate, I am trying to decide between this and a Ducati SuperSport 950S.
Glad i could help somewhat. the Supersport would be a great bike too, just not quite as comfortable and "practical" for daily use and commuting.
The supersport is a much slower bike. I was looking at one before the s1000 and I’m so glad I went with the 1000.
