Good point on the motor; it’s all day rideable. I sold by V2 streetfighter for the ‘23 R and like to daily the R a lot more. V2 was better on track though, but the other features of the R make it more suitable for me.
Very informative vid...well done! I'm test riding one next week. Also in my sights is the Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello S - any chance you can get your hands on one and review...?
Curious, no one mentioned anything about bar vibration. Are you saying that your bike had no bar vibration? I rode e in the past and all had vibrations ion the bars. Going to check out the 4th. one this week. In myth heart I really want one but if the vibration is apparent I wouldn't take one if it was free. On the past 3 issues my fingers and hands went numb, and that was only 20-30 minutes on all 3 bikes. What was your opinion on this? Thank You
Get S1000r ditch the DDC put in Manual S1000r Fork Cartridges plus Matris M46K shock. The spend on other things after this. 2 X the bike, I've done it, sublime compared to stock.
@vn3801, I had ordered a 2024 base with no electronics and could not find any manufacture that has a full front suspension and rear shock. I contacted every manufacture on the planet. No one has the parts, and yes Ohlin did have suspension on the last generation. I spoke with Ohlin engineer's and nothing is available. Where did you get your information from? We are talking about the S1000R newer generation. Thank You
I test rode a 2015, 2016 and a 2022 all had vibration on the front bar. Did you have any vibration issues. All 3 bikes shifters were not smooth! My GSX-R1000 is butter smooth from 2,000rpm's on which nothing compares to it. The BMW service dept. told me that you should above 4,000rpm's and that all bikes have vibration issues!
I forgot to mention that my weight is 215lbs. without my gear and mostly ride canyons and tracking. I have a friend that owns the bike with electronic suspension, 20lbs. lighter than me and he mentioned that it's not great for aggressive canyon and probably track issues as well. You must be very light in weight. Thank You
Get earlier model S1000r (bargain prices now) ditch the DDC put in Manual S1000r Fork Cartridges plus Matris M46K shock, not that expensive. It's way better than a new one and will smoke a stocky in the corners plus have proper high speed bump compliance and better fast corner stability.Done.
this is one bike that is over priced, inflated. I know of a few bikes that were 4month's to 1 year old that lost $6,000.00 in such a short time. This tells me that the bike was inflated to begin with. BMW isn't the only manufacture that does this the Japanese manufactures as well as others use this strategy as well. Called supply and demand game!!!
I’ve ridden a lot of naked bikes and the S 1000 R is by far the best bike out there .. for me .
Hey bro,
Have you also done a ride on the Mt -10 sp 2023? I am contemplating between the yamaha and the beemer. Would love to know your opinion

Love nakeds, the best bikes out there. Especially the higher end bikes.
Good review- thank you 👍
Great review very detailed,
I’m on a fence between monster sp vs s1000r, it sounds like S1000r is a lot of bike and features for the money
BMW is way more reliable, so pick BMW.
Great Review !!!!

thoughts on this vrs the Tuono Factory?
Great review!!!
Thank you!
Nice video, I've got a 2022 bike, engine is great even without the shift cam like the RR. Plenty of torque for the road 😁 and handles like a 600 😉
well done
Thinking to trade my Panigale V2 for this bike. For comfort, more power and torque, tech and features..

I want this thing so bad but it’s so damn expensive man 😭
There are definitely more affordable naked bikes out there! BMW does offer their Easy Ride financing for more manageable monthly payments

Just get it mate , live life like it’s your last.
@@slogue77 yeah bro but the monthly cost will be too high for me. Or at least it will be high enough that have to change the way I’m living lol
haha , yeah that's fair enough. i am still working out if i should or not, I won't that to be my first road bike, always had dirt.@@Catalanskrr
The road surface there in the US looks terrible 😮.
This or MT-10 SP?
MT-10 SP 🔥
The engines aren't the same, S1000RR, M1000R and the M1000RR all have the shift cam engine and 45 horsepower more.

RUclips viewers are not deaf, no need for the sign language while riding. Be a better example to your viewers and keep the hands on the bars.
Would love to see start up.
