I bought the 2500 custom over the other models solely for the fact that I prefer analog over digital

Handsome truck in red. $56,000 is an excellent price for that full size HD Z71. I like the black trim, bumpers, etc., looks good with the red. Love the gauges as I am tired of seeing digital on almost every truck and car.

It is true that after seeing so many vehicles transitioning to digital, analog is somewhat refreshing.

Purchased the exact same truck last month, love it I'm old school so the lack of digital and leather means nothing. Truck rides and handles like a dream, towing a fifth wheel no problem. Fuel consumption is a little bit more than the 5.3 I previously had, 💯 this is a very nice truck with out all the bells and whistles.

I like the analog gauges better than the fancy difficult to read variety on the “upgraded” interior. I don’t need the bigger center screen either. Overall, I like the way this Custom is equipped, and the price is relatively reasonable. I do need the longer bed and prefer the extra cab as opposed to the full crew cab. Good video presentation. Thank you. New subscriber.

I like the striking profile of the Custom, I'm on the fence getting one and this video might have just convinced me to get a Custom. I like the blend of style, simplicity, and it being the more affordable version as trucks these days have gone far too expensive. The interior is something I was not well fond of but when I look at it at a long term standpoint this definitely works better since there's likely less stuff to break that's just me being leaned more towards simplicity. It definitely could use the option of fog lamps but other than that, Chevrolet nailed it right in the head with this Custom.

    • @CarsMadeSimple

I agree! The Custom offers affordable pricing (for what the truck is capable of) and good styling/feature list. The Custom Value package is a good value for everyday use.

@@CarsMadeSimple exactly why I prefer the Custom now that I watched your tour, definitely the right balance of basic and modern, only thing I'm changing are the tires need something that has more grip but I guess they're better than the old Firestone tires on my Ram 2500.

If you don't know when you need 4wd and when you don't need 4wd you have no business driving a big 4wd truck on the road. You should be driving a small awd crossover or something like that.

power folding mirrors on a HD truck is a non negotiable, every single day i have to fold them in, even driving down streets or parking on main streets
they should have at least upgraded the custom to 8" screen from 20-23 models since the new interior is available now for higher trims
have the 23 model and 6spd works perfectly fine for me

For 5k more you can get a well equipped GMC SLE in a premium color. While this is a nice truck, I think most would regret not spending the extra 5k and getting a better looking better equipped truck.

    • @notnalc97

Yes, and then you are in over $60K for the L8T engine. May as well get the more luxurious SLT or LTZ and get it closer to $70k. You do know there are people out there that can’t spend that much on these overpriced machines, right?

I've owned 3 Silverado HDs, the last one a 2018 LT,, this 24 Custom exterior is really nice, and then they show the hideous interior dash that is antiquated and just so dated, COME ON GM, up your freaking game, looks like a plastic toy inside

My buddy bought one...He has had that thing back to gm six times already with issues....Pretty doesn't make the truck...All those electronics doesn't make a good truck...More quantity and less quality for more money...Paint is nice though...😅😅😊😊😊😊

  • @markcasler7924
    @markcasler7924 8 месяцев назад

Yah...after 36000 miles is when they all start to show up those problems...Chevy has the most failures when it comes to electronics...That is where they have to tear everything apart to get to the problems...I have a new Ford and a 2010 all f350s...Other than .maintenance...knock on wood great so far...The one has 286,000 miles and runs like the day I bought it...Still hauls everyday and fantastic....These trucks got out ragous in price so if you own one it best be making money ...
