Oh really? Now let's see if she could do ThE FlIGht oF BuMBbleBeE 🤣
@@vincentw8718 Nah. Flight of the Bumblebee is the epitome of all violin pieces (and pieces for every other instrument as well). No way she can play it, it takes decades of practice, a wrist injury, a shady looking guy in a bee outfit, a diamond violin/viola/whatever it is, climbing up Mt. Everest with only your hands, drinking from the fountain of youth, and 37 years of meditation. The only few chosen prodigies that were born geniuses who can possibly play it are Ben Lee and Vov Dylan, no one else.

Well f# and c# are the easiest IMO as those are what you generally learn as one of the first notes.
I often practice transposing on the spot, and over time you do get better at it!

My theory is that TwoSet make prodigies and soloists swap hands so that they can remember what it's like to be a beginner.
Reminds us that how hard prodigies have to work to get to where they are. Even prodigies can't play without sufficient practice.
She looks likes she’s on the verge of tears during every challenge, but she nails all of them except swapping hands (which is perfectly understandable).

They are more comedians than musicians. I really want to see them play seriously on stage with an orchestra. They played Sibelius.... I want to see them as soloists backed by the Berlin Phil or BBC orchestra.... *anything* ! but they continue with these little tid-bit videos.
I wish them all the best, I just wish they put out more genuinely serious musical content.
@@liamnevilleviolist1809 Oh, I fully disagree. They’re equal parts comedian and musician. I also enjoy they’re more serious content, but I get the fact that orchestra performances aren’t generally free, and to record them and release them for free would essentially be equivalent to robbing themselves. I would like to see more of their “playing our subscriber’s compositions” series. Those definitely show off their skills.
@@angelnichols5408 well it doesn't have to be a full orchestra. I am without a doubt not as successful as TwoSet and surely earn less than them on a weekly basis, but I still manage to put on concerts (self-funded) with small orchestras. It's available to see on my channel if you need proof.
In fact, did I not see TwoSet play the Bach Double concerto with a whole orchestra? That video is out there... so they do have the means to play complete concerti with full orchestras but they choose not to.
TwoSet's strong point is comedy and appealing to their audience. If the audience didn't lap up all the memes and fly-by text inserts then they would've stopped all that by now, because it's all about what's trending in the teenage world. I don't know *many* teenagers who want to see a full concerto which is a shame.
I can't name anyone here in Australia above the age of 30 who loves TwoSet unfortunately but we have to watch the videos to catch up to and relate more to out students.

I'm just waiting for the prodigy that, having followed these guys for a few years, have practiced hand-swapping so as to be ready for this workout. Imagine how blown away they'd be if someone actually "nailed" a piece that way xD
I think the prodigy's teacher, rightfully, would have a cow if any student of theirs tried. Musical instruments are hard enough to play as it is, but I think string instruments require such different skills for each hand -- bowing with the right hand, fingering with the left -- that it would be impossible to play them ambidextrously. I can't think of another instrument where that's the case -- on winds and brass, the fingers basically do the same thing. Same with keyboards, and I know of at least one pianist, the great Leon Fleisher, who could easily play right handed parts with his left hand. He had to because he lost use of his right hand for many years, but he still taught, and he would demonstrate right hand parts with his left hand. Maybe guitar, but I think finger-picking would be easier than bowing.
I'm not saying it couldn't be done, but no teacher would encourage it. There would be no purpose except for the Lingling Challenge, and that's not a good enough reason.
@@gatesurfer Just saying, most concert pianists can do it
@@ananthd4797 Oh come on, it's entirely different. On piano, the technique for both hands is the same, it's just reversed. You learn scales playing both hands together.
But probably 99 percent of violinists bow with their right hand and finger with their left, even if they are left-handed. The instrument is built to be played like that, with the chin rest on the left side.
Bowing, in case you hadn't noticed, involves entirely different mechanics than fingering. You're holding a long stick. You have to draw it back and forth across the strings, controlling speed, pressure, angle of bow on the string, and where it contacts the string1. It's much more refined than, for example, writing with your off-hand, or playing tennis or hitting or throwing baseball with your off hand. I guess you're not an athlete, so you wouldn't know that.
It takes years and years and years of practice to be develop good bowing technique. Most people can barely use a computer mouse with their off hand, and that's one of the simplest things you can do.
Twoset has another video where they judge Chloe Chua at age 8 vs. now. They say "her bowing is much more refined now" even though at age 8 it's plenty impressive. So even with the great Chloe, it's a process.
Perhaps if you were truly, totally ambidextrous, you might be able to teach yourself to play both ways, but to what purpose? This ain't piano, where people on one side of the stage can see better than the other, so showboaters wouldn't need to to do it. Certainly no teacher would encourage it if the student were talented and serious about music.
@@gatesurfer Lol, I was just saying pianists could do it. I said nothing about violinists.
